Phil's Burger

Phil's Burger features an assortment of great tasting burgers made out of high quality ingredients. I would recommend this place to anyone who likes a good quality burger. And the staff is also very nice and friendly.

I had the SM burger as a lunch menu and the burger was good but not the best according to me. So if you want the best burger in Uppsala there are other places that is better. Having said that it the place was very clean and tidy and better than most of the other hamburger joints. So depending on what you are looking for this place is a good settle for someone who wants a good burger and a nice atmosphere.

I liked it. Slightly small patty on the burger but tasted nice. But high cost even compared to larger meals elsewhere and drinks (other than water) are on top. The price is prohibitively high for my preference (it's high quality but the price is higher) and I'm unlikely to initiate going back with a group but I would go there to eat if it was someone else's preference.

Was a hard review to write, as its all about perceived value. Food, location and service was good, but I just didn't feel it justified the premium prices they were asking. Sadly, for what I paid they didn't meet my expectations. At that price I was expecting amazing, but I got good. If the burger had been amazing, the price wouldn't matter. And that's how I remembered Phil's in Eskilstuna from 2 or so years ago when I last had Phil's ... amazing (juicy meat, amazing taste). I know inflation is driving prices up, and relatively speaking Phil's is still better than a regular chain burger joint, but not 100% better in this experience. And 17SEK for a small dish of dipping sauce is just aggravating. Had Phil's been 15% cheaper, it would have been 4 star. Anyway, just my opinion.

Okay burger, not extraordinary. Good sweetpotato fries. The place is quite boring and dark.

Probably the best burger I ever ate. Quality ingrediants and best of all a slightly crunchy bread that does not dominate over the meat. Nice big windows so you can enjoy looking outside and as a bonus they play great 50s-70s music.

Food was okay, but just okay. Ate the beyond burger, which definitely needed a bit more spice to get it going. Service was very good. However, the serving was covered in paper and the side dip was served in single use plastic bowls,, which I felt was unecessary wasteful. I hope they bring their burgers up a notch and that they get rid of all the disposable stuff.

I'm an American and I endorse this burger! I had the Phil's burger and added bacon and avocado. I had the truffle sauce for the fries. It was great! Messy like a good burger should be too! No mustard on it but it didn't need it at all. Portion size wasn't too big either but would be enough to sustain bicycling around Uppsala.

HOT DAMN! I'm so happy that this place has finally opened in Uppsala. It has been highly anticipated and the launch date was unknown for quite some time. It's really awesome that we finally have a proper burger place in Uppsala, it's long overdue. We went in here today on the premiere and it was of course packed with people but we got our food fast and the line moved in a reasonable speed as well. I ordered the Phil's burger with bacon which came with fries and coleslaw, I also took a soda putting the price at around 130:- which is a bit over the top for a lunch, but it was definitely worth the money. The burger had the most amazing flavor and all of the condiments fit it perfectly. I'd dare saying it was almost orgasmic. The coleslaw was (unfortunately) awful and the fries were cold when they came out. I hope that isn't the case when they get settled in. I have a feeling I'll be a regular at Phil's and can't wait to see how they develop and grow over time.

I would have given 4 stars, but the only vegetarian option was a Halloumi burger :( The atmosphere was great! I loved that the sports TVs were only on one side of the place so you could choose whether or not you wanted to watch TV while eating. There's one huge screen and I really can't help but wish they would offer theme-nights for something other that Sports. Like "burgers and a movie" or...I know!-- it would be AMAZING to watch Game of Thrones on that screen! I love watching it with friends. If they did that, I would go for every episode of the next season. The meat-eaters in my family loved the burgers! My partner is a real burgers guy and he was extremely happy about his burger.
