Our driver barely spoke any English so didn’t understand much of what we were saying. He dropped us off here without any explanation. (We booked through a travel agent so assume we shouldn’t have been there in the first place). A mute person started the tour of the place, bless him he was trying to explain things but only repeated one word over and over again. 5 minutes in another guy took over and said he was a guide for the past 20 years and he would show us around. He strongly smelled of alcohol and tobacco, and looked a bit like he was using something else too. He took us on a rushed tour through the caves even though we had said “no thank you” multiple times. At the stupa he ended the tour and insisted on a $10 tip. It was all rather hush hush. Then he suddenly stopped and gave the money back and said I’ll do this again at the parking spot where your driver is. I’ll say it’s the end of the tour and you give me the money again. Super weird!! I felt relieved being back in the car with my partner and being safely driven back to our hotel.

Tourist scam! As we arrived, there were two young local men in front of the holy hill of Phnom Sorsia. One of them spoke English and didn't want to let us visit the caves without a guide. He said that, he is the guide of the place and we have to pay 2 USD or 8.000 KHR per person for the short tour. He warned two of us about the agressive monkeys around the caves. He was very pushy, so we paid 16.000 KHR. After that he showed us two caves (White Elephant Cave, Bat Cave) and a buddhist shrine on the hill. Along the tour two boy was following us, we felt unsafe. After that our guide begged for more money to a young boy dressed as a monk, who lost his parents.

The cave picture does NOT belong to this place! Phnom Sorsir (!) is 9.5km Southeast! Google , pls correct! I went to the wrong coordinates just for fun and found this nice bridge... BTW: It's a nice track for cross country motoring:-)

Not here - don’t waste your time like us, take note of reviews this time duh!! The real one is back closer to the coast road between Kampot and Kep.

MISPLACED on map. I can't move the marker to correct location at 10.5658, 104.2836

The Phnom Sorsia cave is not actually in this location. I went there and found a mango plantation.

Not the good place. Look for « Phnom sorsir », on road 33 close to Kep.
