Pho Golden Star

Oh my God this place is absolutely incredible. This is a place that I want to gate keep that's how good it is. I'm actually kind of scared that some influencer comes here and blows this place up because if this place had the recognition it deserved there would be lineups out the door. Even when we got there it was pretty full I would say 80% of all the tables were taken. Everything was extremely fresh and portion sizes here are humongous. I'm not even a big fan of sticky rice but the sticky rice with crab was out of this world I haven't seen any other Vietnamese restaurant have this it's one of their house specialties. The beef salad was to die for the flavor the freshness the thickness in the cut of the beef everything was perfect. This is definitely top three best Vietnamese restaurants in Canada that I've ever ate.

Our family has become regulars at Pho Golden Star. The portions here are incredibly generous and well worth the price. My personal favorites are the Bún Đậu and the blood sausage (Lòng Dồi)—absolutely delicious and authentic. We used to eat at Pho 90, but honestly, as they got more popular, I felt the quality started to slip and become inconsistent. For instance, their Bún Chả Hà Nội portions kept shrinking over time. That’s why we’ve officially made the switch here. What really sets this place apart is the vibe. I recently visited with some friends who own a Thai restaurant, and we were all impressed. The Lòng Dồi is prepared perfectly with no unpleasant odor at all. Also, the young staff are wonderful—always smiling, polite, and genuinely happy to see customers. As a business owner myself, I can tell when a proprietor truly puts their heart into their food. I have no connection to this shop and wasn’t asked to write this; I just genuinely believe they deserve more recognition. If you’re looking for quality food made with heart, please give them a try !!!

Went here for lunch The service was very good. The restaurant is decorated beautifully, set up to celebrate tet! We ordered: Bun Bo hue : 7/10, was not as spicy as it should have been. Very aromatic and tasty broth. Lots of delicious bits. Bun rieu: 8/10 very delicious with lots of fresh ingredients Grilled chicken on vermicelli: 9/10 very good flavour with fresh ingredients. Over all a good experience. I will have to come back to try more of their menu items.

If you’re hungry, come to Pho Golden Star! The food is incredible and the portions are absolutely huge. We ordered the Large Pho and it was more than enough for two people to share comfortably. The price point is around $17–$20, which is a total steal considering the massive serving size and quality. The restaurant itself is very clean and has a big, open space so you don’t feel crowded. To top it off, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. I’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommended!

This is one of the best restaurants in Toronto for authentic Northern Vietnamese cuisine. The flavors here truly capture the essence of traditional Northern-style cooking. The bún đậu mắm tôm is a standout — the portion is very generous, the ingredients are fresh, and the mắm tôm is well-balanced, fragrant, and not overpowering. Every component comes together perfectly, just like how it’s meant to be enjoyed back home. Beyond that, both the soups and dry dishes are consistently delicious, well-seasoned, and clearly made with care. What really sets this restaurant apart is its unique menu. There are many Northern Vietnamese dishes that are rarely seen at other Vietnamese restaurants, making it a great place to explore more traditional and less commercialized Vietnamese food. You can tell that the food is prepared with authenticity in mind rather than being adapted to Western tastes. The service is good and meets general expectations, and the restaurant is clean and well-maintained, making the dining experience comfortable. Another convenient plus is that the restaurant offers a parking lot behind the building, which is very helpful in this area. If you’re looking for a place that offers a true Vietnamese dining experience, especially authentic Northern Vietnamese cuisine that reminds you of home, this restaurant is an excellent choice. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates authentic flavors and generous portions.

The spring rolls were delicious! The portions are also big, so one plate can serve at least 3 people. The pho was very tasty! Even with the medium size, the serving is a lot (which I’m not complaining about because I had delicious leftovers for the next day). They’re the perfect food to eat in the cold weather. 😊

Ordered a Bun Dau Mam Tom from this place and it actually tastes delicious, beside I didn’t try the blood sausage because it looks unappealing… but the rest of the plate is tasty. Service is good and quick, and you can see the chef preparing meals for you.

I’ve been coming to this Vietnamese restaurant for dinner regularly, and it has never disappointed. The atmosphere is cozy, the staff is always friendly, and the service is fast even when the place is busy. I usually order the pho, and it’s consistently excellent — rich broth, fresh ingredients, and generous portions. The flavor reminds me of authentic street food in Vietnam. Prices are fair for the quality, and you always leave full and satisfied. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving real Vietnamese food. Definitely my go-to spot!

If you are looking for the typical pho and banh min place this is not it. Instead this menu offers frog legs and wraps and a more robust traditional Vietnamese menu. Yes the have pho and broth was A litter sweeter than most but not oily or too fatty, which was nice. PHO is offered in 2 sizes for most combinations and individual sprout and basil plates and offered per bowl. The on the table condiments were interesting too! Shaved thin garlic in vinegar was a great acidic, not spicy compliment to dishes, and was very memorable.

pho ga was decent nice broth but cuts of chicken not great (fatty) one timer for me park in the walmart for parking

This is a fantastic Pho restaurant in an area that has more than a few of them. If you're in the big lot across the street, the pho here is far superior. You'll want to make your way through the rest of the menu, but after a large Pho (twenty dollars) it's hard to fit the rest. You'll need to make time to come on in for a non-pho dish in the future. I have my eye on the crab sticky rice!

Great service, tasty food, generous portions! Family atmosphere. Everyone is super friendly and cheerful. Highly recommended.
