VERDICT: A quick bite delight for a small price. FOOD: The rice dish (comes with pork, shrimp, veggies, dressing, and rice). The pork was tender and flavorful, while the shrimp were stiffly seared. I prefer my shrimp less cooked than this, but the whole meal far exceeded my expectations, especially for $12. SERVICE: Just right. Quick, got us what we needed, and was gone, never to be seen again until a check materialized when our forks hit empty plates. With water pitchers and all the side elements (hoisen and such) already on the table, the conversation between myself and company flowed uninterrupted. ATMOSPHERE: I love the woodwork room dividers (the same as the ones at Nara Sushi, actually). The clever use of lighting and mural (directly painted onto the wall) add chic character that enhances the mood-lit, calming atmosphere of this joint.

The soup is quite good. However I think the flavor is not so Vietnam but a little bit Taiwan style. I guess it is because hard to get the authentic Vietnam local variable herb and spices. However it is still a good soup. The last thing is that if the meat in the bowel can be more and it will be better

Google
Medium pho had approximately 1 oz of meat. The bean sprouts were not fresh. Broth don’t taste like a homemade pho broth but more like a store bought bone broth. Will not return.

Google
I was calling around on a Monday morning to see if any restaurant near downtown Boise would assist me in giving me a cup of broth only since I wasn’t feeling good. This was the only location who enthusiastically said yes! Talk about great service! Ordered in and it was ready within 10 minutes. The to-go orders are beautiful! You’re absolutely getting tons of ingredients to put into your broth. They executed on the flavor!

Google
I dine here often after church and always order the medium pho bowl with a side of steak, I never leave hungry. Staff is really accommodating especially when I bring in 7 starved friends. Can't recommend more, my favorite pho spot in Boise

Google
So I travel around the west coast and am now in Boise. So of course I tried the pho. Pros: the soup had a very good flavor. The restaurant is modern, clean, and you can see inside the kitchen (that's a good thing with some nasty kitchens I've come across) The summer rolls were "ok". I've had way better. Cons: only a few pho selections on the menu. I've seen pages and pages of different pho at every other restaurant, but only a few here. The service was pretty bad, the servers were way behind and couldn't control the action. There was a crowd inside but it wasn't THAT busy. Took a while to get a menu (almost just got up and got it myself) Didn't get a refill on my water, server forgot the order and had to ask again. The website name is more clever than the restaurant name (Idapho vs Pho Le).

Google
Love their pho and vegetarian vermicelli bowls. Vietnamese coffee is on point too they made it fresh straight from the dripping cup. Waitress is really nice and attentive to every table even when its only her working that day. Took good care of us and really friendly. On the other hand, kitchen guys were arguing in the back pretty loud and i hoped they know that there are viet customers too that we can understand their arguments really clear. Not my business but everyone in the dining area was confused and especially when its rush time and they saw customers coming in but still arguing real loud. Besides that we did enjoyed our food and service was great 😊

Google
After trying PLENTY of places. This is by far the freshest, most flavorful pho around The rice noodles were nice and soft, not clumped like some places The broth is so perfectly seasoned and not at all greasy like the place on fairview 10/10 would recommend Not to mention the gentleman who served me was insanely nice

Yelp
This is one of our favorite spots for lunch or dinner. Came for a low key date night and everything was great. Service was quick and attentive and the speed with which our food came out was extremely impressive. We got 2 orders of the cha gios, and two of the shrimp, pork and beef platters as well as a hot green tea and diet cokes. It was a ton of food, enough for me to have lunch tomorrow and our total was $57. Flavors are always spot on and the meat was not dry at all. It seems like they haven't quite hit the radar for being a "hot spot for date nights" and I'm not sure why, but selfishly I'm glad it's always easy for us to walk in and sit right down at an empty table. Although I do hope more people find out about Pho Le, their Pho is delicious too!! Highly recommend.

Yelp
If more than you order pho - you don't get your own plate of sprouts or garnishments. They charge you $2 extra even tho they say it is suppose to be free and come with the meal. Also, pho just has meatballs and steak. If you want additional items like tendon you pay extra. My large pho, as pictured, cost me $21 Pho didn't even taste like legit pho across the street. Do not go here. This is not authentic and owners seem more focused on charging for upgrades that should come normally at every other phot restaurant than actually providing an enjoyable dining experience. Avoid at all costs.

Yelp
I was in the area by the Co op so I was planning on having pho there. Come to find out they didn't open till 6. We didn't want to wait an hour so we headed to another pho joint. Unfortunately they were closed so Pho Le it was. They were poppin tonight. Winter and pho is always the perfect combination. Servers were busy handling to go orders and dining customers. I was greeted and was told to pick a table. My server came, dropped off my utensils and menu. I ordered the cha gio today. I wasn't going to make the same mistake as my last visit and order the large bowl. I ordered the medium chicken pho. The cha gio came out hot! They were crispy and flavorful! To be honest, the filling to wrapper ratio was off and they were pretty small. You also got 1 piece of lettuce for your egg rolls. They were decent but not for the price of 7 bucks. My pho looked beautiful. The broth was clean and clear. There were nice pieces of chicken and a good amount of noodles. I just wish the broth was a little hotter. It was hot like it's been sitting on a flame but not pipping how like they boiled it before they poured it into my bowl. Overall, service was good and food was decent. I'm pretty sure I'll be back and have another bowl of pho.

Yelp
Wow service was fast though we were 3ish in arriving. I loved that the beef Pho came in various sizes and even offered a spicy broth for a slight up charge. Inside was clean throughout and if you want a high quality food offering without going through a tone of pages visit this location on Broadway. Our group of 5 were fed well, no one left hungry. The Thai Ice tea tasty on this warm day. It was my first visit, I will visit again when I'm back in Boise.

Lauren M.

Yelp
My husband and I absolutely love this place! We usually get the pho medium and load it with Siracha, chili oil, basil, lime and bean sprouts. ITS INCREDIBLE. It's a regular craving for me. Also the summer roles are insanely delicious. We highly recommend this place to all our friends and family. Already want to go back!

Presly B.

Yelp
Spicy noodle soup so good and also the spring rolls. Very chill atmosphere. Service great!

Yelp
I come to pho le frequently at least a couple times a month and everytime I get the best service from the staff and especially Robert! The food is so delicious everytime and I highly recommend it! The vermicelli is one of my favorites but also they turned me onto pho as well it's an extremely tasty menu all around! Thank you pho le!
google avatar

Joe S.

Yelp
Good food but for some reason I can't order a hot Vietnamese coffee. They make it fresh in the back but the owner won't let the servers serve it hot. Because of this three stars. Allow servers to serve it hot as most Vietnamese restaurants do and I'll change this to five stars. I've updated my review because the server serves it correctly.

Mike S.

Yelp
My kids and I enjoy Pho Le quite a bit, it's our regular go to spot. Our favorite is the beef Pho with the optional meats. It's unanimous between the three of us that they have the best beef Pho we've ever had. Everyone in the restaurant is nice, we love going here!
google avatar

Yoonwa S.

Yelp
It was okay. The broth was definitely on the salty side and not very sweet. I'd give it a 3.5 so rounded up to a 4. The server was alone during lunch time and was hustling. She still did a great job given it was a one person show. There is a large eating area here which was nice and spread out. They had small/medium/large options here which typically you see small or large. Not sure what the difference is in quantity. I opted for the medium and it was sufficient, if you are really my hungry I'd opt for the large. I've been looking for the very best pho in the TV. This isn't it but it'll fix your craving.
google avatar

Michelle d.

Yelp
First time trying it because we were craving for pho. The menu is small not a lot of choices. Pho was good but needs to adda little bit of meat on their servings.
google avatar

Alesya G.

Yelp
Food was overall good. would I come again? Probably not. Egg rolls were small and a bit dry. Pho was good but was missing the 5 star "wow" factor. Service & restaurant were great.
google avatar

John S.

Yelp
Service was solid. She knows her regulars and gets the food moving. I appreciate that at lunchtime. The issue is the kitchen, because they were not trying their best. The bowl of soup had tiny pieces of meat and for extra charge you get to taste a single piece of tendon. I don't have a lot to compare it to in Boise but I will say with a little effort you could make a nice bowl of soup. This was not trying. BTW, the fried egg rolls were barely warm and the recipe is questionable and please just put a fresh bottle of hoisin on the table because the watered down squeeze bottle was not it.

Ainslee K.

Yelp
BEST PHO IVE EVER HAD! amazing customer service, the vibes are so good, amazing music played just loud enough to hear but not overpower the convo, big variety of seating per your preference, everyone was so sweet and helpful, the food was out super fast and was SOOO DELICIOUS.

Brisn W.

Yelp
Play the flavors are great and everything I've had here not just a cookie cutter Pho place. The only thing they could do better is to have a bahn mi sandwich like the other couple good spots in Boise have , this would be the only one to go if they had that

dkgrim W.

Yelp
Broth is good like any other place but if you order online they will scam you in portions

Reagan B.

Yelp
THE FOOD IS INSANE HERE. I love this place sm I come here once a week at least and have been for almost 3 years. The staff is so nice and friendly and the chili oil is awesome not to mention the pho broth is perfect. Also if you're not a pho fan they have shrimp rolls that are fantastic on the appetizer menu that comes with this sweet fish sauce. 10/10

Yelp
Delicious! Ally delivered great service! I'm not much of a Pho person and my daughter insisted we go here because she had been to Pho Le before, she said it was the best! I live in kuna she lives in meridian. Worth the drive to east Boise. I had the grilled platter and my daughter had medium Pho with extra lime and chili sauce. I recommend both choices!

Yelp
A delayed review - but I'm currently writing this as my partner and I are battling food poisoning from food we picked up here within the past two hours. About an hour after eating, we both got extremely sick at the same time, after eating the same meal to-go. We called to let them know, as we were informed they make their broths in large batches and we wanted to ensure the kitchen knew so they could prevent others from getting sick. Instead of asking what we ordered or any details, they said we couldn't have gotten sick from their food as it takes over 24 hours to show symptoms of food poisoning (which isn't true - it takes various times but can start after 1-2 hours). They said they've never had anyone get sick from their food and there was nothing they could do from stopping others from getting sick. It was that response that motivated me to write this- because if multiple people got sick when the only common factor is one particular dish, and they're still currently serving it to guests while on the phone to us - that was concerning. They're actively doing nothing to prevent others from getting sick from something incorrect with their food. I appreciate that they have vegetarian and vegan options, so I'm still giving them 3 stars. I've been here multiple times as well and have never had this issue either, so it's definitely a unique situation. That said, as someone who has never had food poisoning before and who would never wish food poisoning on someone else - their food handling in this situation concerns me.

Yelp
I travel for work and have Pho all over North America but tonight I found one of the best chicken Pho I ever had in Boise , That's amazing.

Jade A.

Yelp
Their veggie pho is my go to take out choice, especially when I'm too tired to cook but don't want something super greasy. I love that they add oyster mushrooms and their chili oil is so delicious! Their veggie vermicelli is good too, I really like the sauce that comes with it but I do sometimes wish it was a little larger portion, like their beef and shrimp vermicelli. The staff is super friendly as well!
google avatar

Yelp
I've been going to Pho Le for a couple years now and I always find myself ordering the same "pho-large" bowl every time (mostly out of habit), and I am never disappointed with it! I usually choose the option to also add tendon and well done flank to add variety to the meat in my bowl. You also get a heaping bowl of bean sprouts, Thai basil, cilantro, and jalapeños which you can request more of! :) Usually I start off dinner with their "summer rolls" and "egg rolls" which are a must! Recently I tried their 'spicy noodle soup' and found that it the right amount of spice (for some) and broth that was rich in flavor, similar to the rich pho broth, but with spiciness and thicker noodles - now I'm hooked. Let's also not forget their iced Thai teas, and strong, iced Vietnamese coffees served with milk which are my favorite to take out! Pho Le is kept super clean, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is very pleasant! Definitely would recommend them. Thanks a bunch, Pho Le! :)

Yelp
Really yummy PHO! Definitely recommend you give this place a try. Only thing I could say would be a nice edition would be to carry sake.
google avatar

Helene D.

Yelp
I've been here three times right when it opened to a few years later to about 3 years later now. It hasn't improved since opening and I am a bit bummed by that since it is near my house. The Pho broth has the subtle pho taste when you first taste it but it disappears quickly as if it is lacking the authentic prep seasoning. It is still missing the savory, flavorful factor and it wasn't as fulfilling to eat from other Pho I've tried. The beef and noodles were good though and cooked properly. My family got the rice dishes (com tam) however, the grilled meats were dry and could've been seasoned more. The price was pretty high for the quality that was provided in my opinion. I feel like they have potential if they could improve on some parts of their dishes. Pros-the inside of the restaurant is warm, nice and pretty. Atmosphere makes it comfortable if you are going by yourself or with others!

Yelp
Growing up eating pho, I'll say I'm a bit of a pho snob and this place is one of the only pho places I'll eat in Boise. The chicken pho is absolutely amazing and their egg rolls are to die for. Prices are a little higher than some other pho places I've been to but it's worth it if you're a big fan of pho. Service here is always lovely, staff is always kind and there is one man in particular who works here who is just amazing. He's made my dining experiences here great! Would highly recommend the pho ga and the egg rolls!
google avatar

L G.

Yelp
Ambiance was perfect for a casual lunch, service was awesome and food was absolutely delicious. Prices were very reasonable! Thank you!
google avatar

T W.

Yelp
Pho and bun was okay. For what you get the prices are higher than what I'm use to. Not sometime I would go out of my way for. Service was good.
google avatar

Agung P.

Yelp
Pho is good and delicious and the place is very clean and service is great too. We have a good time eating here.
google avatar

Dan D.

Yelp
[covidtime - quite a few visits] Upgrading my review to five stars. Even during covid, their service has been fantastic, the pho great, and the overall atmosphere relaxing during this stressful time. Congrats.
google avatar

Shelby H.

Yelp
You know the ingredients are going to be fresh when the menu is small. Friendly and speedy service, phenomenal broth, plenty of meat... no complaints here!

Courtney M.

Yelp
I ordered the chicken pho and the broth was perfectly thin and rich. I ordered extra veggies which bumped it up to just the right amount. Dining area was clean and service was also great. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Walkyria W.

Yelp
Best Pho in Boise! Plus accommodâtes all eating styles . Our server Robert was so great and the lady behind the front counter was so sweet! Props to the brilliant cooks in the back.

Sylvia B.

Yelp
Good food made in the true traditional Vietnamese style- served fast, pipping hot and delicious! Don't EVER change your recipes!

Yelp
While I normally review a place after a few visits, I am unable to come back here after my experience, so I will review on just that. The young girl that was serving was pleasant and welcoming and told me to sit where I wanted. Water was brought shortly after sitting and my order taken pretty quickly after that. Chicken Pho is not on the menu but she said I was able to order that. So I did. After a bit of a wait (not too horrible) my chicken Pho was brought to the table. After being so excited to try this place I was quickly brought back to reality. "What is that?" As I look into my bowl of Pho there were.... things that weren't chicken and clearly were not edible. I spent about 5 minutes fishing large strings of beef fat, short fat chunks of beef fat, and little worm looking pieces of fat. (See picture). I pulled about probably a 1/4 pound of beef fat from my soup and not healthy looking beef fat (you can often tell quality meat from the bad quality and this was a lower quality.) I sit there in disgust for about 5 minutes pondering what I was going to say to the server. 5 minutes after that I still sit. "Should I leave?" I thought. I was starving and half my lunch hour was over already so I picked through the soup trying to not think about what I just fished out. Finally the young lady comes over and I said, I wanted you to know that I fished out that (pointing to the mountain of fat) out of my soup. She said, "oh sorry, do you want more meat?" I of course said no, secretly hoping she would charge me only for a veg Pho since mine didn't have real meat in it. She walks away and am still pondering walking out when the girl walks by the gentleman sitting next to me and says, looking at his fork and what was on it, "Oops, looks like you got a tendon, sorry about that." Check please. While the environment seems nice, and the server was kind, I can't come back here. I paid $14.00 for a bowl of fat, noodles, and broth. I am still gagged out a week later after this experience. I always give people the benefit of the doubt but I just think I can't here. I will update my review if I go back and order veggie everything.

Diane C.

Yelp
We e had takeout a few times from Pho Le. Our food has been beyond delicious with great sized portion perfect for lunch the next day. The veggie spring rolls and pho are a family favorite and never disappoint. Highly recommended!
google avatar

Tony B.

Yelp
The pho was incredibly delicious, as were the summer rolls. And the staff was super friendly.
google avatar

Kym S.

Yelp
I tried Pho for the first time. I guess I'm just not a fan. The broth tasted and smelled unpleasant to me, but that's just me. Others love it. It came with several different meats. I didn't care for the steak (too much fat), or the tendon (unpleasant texture), but what really surprised me was the meatballs. I thought they would be juicy, meaty but they were rubbery, as if they were made from snouts, intestines, organs, not sure... The only meat that tasted good to me was the rare flank. And oh goodness, it was awesome! Tender and delicious. If they would let me substitute all the other meats for the flank, I would come back, again and again. But they probably won't. Wouldn't hurt to ask tho, right? BTW the egg rolls and dipping sauce were delectable. Definitely recommend those!
google avatar

Smooth A.

Yelp
I love the pho bowls here. I was totally unprepared for the small bowl of pho. I had to take some to go as it was too much for me to eat while there. Loved the Thai Tea. The service was quick and the server very thorough in sharing the menu and bowl options. The vermicelli wrap option with shrimp, pork and beef was very very tasty. I highly recommend trying Pho Le. You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Cierra D.

Yelp
Delicious! I finally found an amazing pho location after moving to Nampa from Sacramento. In Sac, we were not short on delicious pho, here, it's been a bit of a challenge finding the right place. I'm sad this place is a drive for me, but whenever we are out on the weekends in Meridian or Boise, we will make a point to return. The soup was delicious and the vermicelli noodle plate was amazing. The inside was clean, waiter was friendly and happy to answer any questions. It was a hit for me, my husband and our 4 year old daughter.
google avatar

Doug B.

Yelp
The beef vermicelli was very good, don't get me wrong, but I just felt like the price was a bit steep for the amount of food I got. Delicious, perfectly seasoned meat, fish sauce, sliced carrots, and tasted really fresh. I greatly enjoyed it!
google avatar

Jana H.

Yelp
This was place is okay. Today we had a great service, last time it was very slow even though they weren't busy. The pho itself is made out of frozen veggies and then we get fresh sprouts and basil on the side. When I spend $15 for a lunch pho I'd expect the veggies to be all fresh. A bit disappointing. Convenient location, easy parking, free soda water.
google avatar

Ricardo O.

Yelp
Delicious food and great staff. I will definitely be coming back. The pho in this restaurant is a most try! The best around this area for sure. R
google avatar

LADY A.

Yelp
I found this place while visiting from out of town. I have to say I was quite impressed! The area where I live has tons of different different ethnic food, so I was a little skeptical being away from home. Ordered the summer rolls and the rice plate, tasted delicious. I would definitely go back to his place if I visit Boise Idaho.

Natasha P.

Yelp
I love this place. I always get the regular beef pho, which is delicious. I have chronic illness and this is one of the few things that make me feel better, so I come in often. They are kind, accommodating, and fast. They have booths to sit at, which are very comfortable, as well as regular seating. Give it a try.
google avatar

Tanis H.

Yelp
Unable to get a good photo since it went to so quickly the pho is awesome and the spicy noodle hits the spot just right especially in this cold weather!
google avatar

Grant H.

Yelp
I like Pho Le. Their soup is well executed and, while I generally go to Pho Nguyen on State and Glenwood, I think PL is a reasonable competitor. I used to think it was too expensive, but in the covid 19 era all prices have increased so I now think it's competitive. The soup is not as sweet as Pho Nguyen's and their cha gio is crispy and fresh out of the fryer. I like their style and probably don't go to PL enough, come to think of it. Force of habit, I guess. Will definitely come back.
google avatar

Mandi S.

Yelp
The area lacks really good Vietnamese food so I was super excited to try this. Pho was good and the amount of meat and garnishment was perfect. I also got the Beef & Shrimp vermicelli. It had amazing flavor and the combination came with cha gio (egg roll). Prices were a little higher than what you'd typically pay. Decor of restaurant is very modern and inviting.

Yelp
NOT TO MISS, if you want more than SPUDS, in Boise!! Spotless kitchen, excellent service, friendly staff and AMAZING PHO!! Great springs rolls, too. Clean restrooms, as well.
google avatar

Tricia M.

Yelp
Super clean pho place, not far from the freeway! The great Yelp reviews led us here and so glad that it did. This was a great place for lunch - started with the summer rolls, a rice paper wrapped egg roll with fresh mint, rice noodles and succulent shrimp. Also ordered the small pho, which was delicious - with plenty of accompaniments including cilantro, jalapeños and lime wedges. Green tea was the right thing to have with it all. Service was friendly and food was quick. Overall positive experience and would come back!
