Pho Metro

I’ve been to Pho Metro a few times and always have a good dining experience. The staff are extra nice. If you have ever heard the phrase “service with a smile”, it’s Pho Metro. I was craving a regular bowl of pho but while looking over the menu and speaking to the waiter, I decided on the #5 Bun Bo Hue noodle soup. It’s spicy with a hint of lemongrass and the meats are tender and delicious. The rice noodles are thicker and round — different from the traditional pho noodles. The menu is simplistic in a good way. They cover all the basics without confusing the diner with too many options. Seating is ample and decorations are minimal making this a very family friendly restaurant.

My new favorite pho spot! You can find parking in the lot in front. There is plenty of seating. Prices here are super fair. I enjoy their hot Vietnamese coffee, just the right amount of condensed milk. As for pho I order #3 Pho Chin. Comes with a lot of noodles and even more brisket. Their broth is perfect! Not too beefy. The service here can be a bit slow since there is usually only one person working the floor but that one worker is always so nice.

Do NOT get takeout from here!!! Shrinkflation has hit Pho Metro hard! I ordered delivery and got the Bun Dac Biet. Instead of using a pork chop like usual they used slices of pork, so razor thin it’s like the type you’d use for hot pot. Then, to add insult to injury, half of the container was lettuce—there was barely any vermicelli. For $17 they should be ashamed of themselves. The food wasn’t even that fresh. Never ordering from here again.

I have lived in the neighborhood for a very long time and have not tried this particular restaurant but I'm so glad to have gotten to try it. The portions are a good size, enough to eat in one sitting without feeling insanely full and decently priced. My only bone to pick with the pho is that it did not have a lot of meat and the limes were cut into 1/8th pieces. However, outside of that the flavor was really good and I had absolutely excellent service by Duc. I felt very bad for him however because he was the only server around 1 pm on a Friday and it was a bit busy for just one person to handle. Overall, I would recommend that everyone give this place a shot.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The grilled pork, chicken, and shrimp were cooked to perfection—juicy, flavorful, and tender, with just the right amount of marinate. Every bite was bursting with deliciousness, and nothing was dry, which is always a sign of great grilling. The spring rolls were another standout—crispy on the outside, with a fresh, tasty filling that was well-balanced in flavor. The ingredients were clearly fresh, enhancing every dish. My only personal preference would be the addition of bean sprouts and fresh mint, but that didn’t take away from the meal. The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Was here on a work trip... Walkable from the hotel, so I gave it a shot. This was some of the BEST pho I've had. They accommodated my special request for Tai Bo Vien Pho, and the service was excellent. Don't sleep on the Shrimp Summer Rolls either! 5 stars and worth it!

Great food great atmosphere great service one of the best pho. I’ve tried in New York City so far not expensive definitely recommend.

I loveeeeee pho metro I come here at least 2-3 times a week really wished they were open on Monday and Tuesdays but it’s okay there’s also a girl that’s usually there Thursdays & Fridays she’s very sweet and attentive and she already knows our order hahaha. Only bad thing I would say about pho metro is they use to have their chili oil which was so good and now they don’t apparently it would be great if they brought it back that way it would be less complicated to have to go to another store to buy some before heading there. I’m a huge sauce girly. Other than that 10/10 food and service !!! The jumbo shrimp rolls and the crispy fried rolls are also 10/10 must try !!!

I've been here at least a dozen times at this point over the last two years. Consistent quality, great pho broth (clearly filtered as it comes clear and free of scum), delicious grilled meats (stands out in their banh mi and vermicelli dishes), and quality spring and summer rolls. No complaints about service. They regularly rotate their staff because they hire young adults who are still in school -- never had an issue with them. Very clean interior with a modern feel. There is parking for the restaurant. Do not sleep on the banana bread a la mode.

But let me shine a light on a hidden gem of their menu: the Vietnamese iced coffee. It's criminally underrated! Hands down, this is one of the best I've ever tasted--silky, perfectly sweet, with a robust coffee kick that's neither too bold nor too subtle. Honestly, no other place has managed to master it quite like Pho Metro. Every sip feels like pure indulgence. And let's not forget their stellar service. I visited on a drizzly Friday night, and one lone waiter was running the entire show. From juggling phone orders to clearing tables, seating guests, and taking orders, he did it all with impressive efficiency and an unwavering smile. His upbeat attitude and welcoming energy turned a gloomy evening into a truly memorable experience.

My go to spot for pho is always a place in the city but I wanted to stay more local in queens and so glad to find this place! First of all, if you're going to come here for anything, let it be the service alone. Darwin was the host and he was so attentive literally throughout our entire meal. He was refilling our napkins, asking if we were enjoying the food, and overall just had such a positive vibe. It really made our dining experience that much more enjoyable. On to the food: my hubby and I ordered the pho that came with eye round, brisket, and meat ball. Delicious. Maybe could have used a little more salt but overall hit the spot so good. The portion was generous and it was so filling we had to take some home. We also ordered the summer roll. This was a little disappointing because the roll wasn't properly wrapped so it was hard to eat. Also there was very little shrimp inside. Next thing were the Japanese wings. OMG. So crispy, so good. It was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. It is definitely something I would come back for. We also got the Thai iced tea. A classic you can never go wrong with. Upon arriving they offer water or tea and I like the tea is such a nice tough for the colder months. Highly recommend checking this place out. It is located in a space with a parking lot for extra convenience!

+ Friendly service + Lots of seating + Clean (even the sauce bottle caps were clean!) + Good noodle soups Ordered the #1 & #5. Both were tasty and the broths were not oily/heavy. The Bún bò Huế had a strong lemongrass flavor and a spicy kick, which I very much enjoyed, but I think it could've used a bit more shrimp paste. Overall, had a pleasant experience and would definitely come back.

The food flavors have been blander than I last remembered. it was a little disappointing especially when the prices have gone up and the portions have gotten smaller - shrinkflation. The ambiance was nice with plenty of seating but the service was a bit slower. Parking was a bit of a wait with so many businesses in the area.

One of my favorite pho spots! Can't believe I never posted a review before! I've been eating here for a while now and it's always pretty good! Very convenient and quick, call ahead for pick up :) I recommend their pho with a side of pork chop, my sister likes their noodle salad too with rice vermicelli. Yummy food and great for sharing!

I could not have gotten the Bun Dac Biet ($16) at a better timing, because this noodle salad was just perfect on a hot long sunny day. I need to know what seasoning was on that shrimp, because it had a nice little kick to it, adding a little spice to the light dish. The service was very chill, and the place was very spacious. There was good sunlight coming in that made it feel extra comfortable. Would come back again for this noodle salad!

Needed a new lunch place and took a chance based on the yelp reviews. The restaurant is inside a little strip mall, parking looks limited and is at a busy intersection. Otherwise it was relatively easy to find. The I side of the restaurant looks clean and we'll maintained. We didn't dine in but will Def try to next time. The food was delish. We ordered pork and chicken bahn mi and the bun dac biet. The bahn mi were outstanding. My father in law who is typically hard to please very much enjoyed it. The pork bahn mi was more flavorful. If you want more subtle flavors go for the grilled chicken. The bread was crunchy and soft on the inside as bahn mi bread should. I would've preferred a bit more acidity on the pickled radishes that would've help cut the richness of the pork. But all in all it was quite tasty. The vermicelli were cooked well but I would've preferred shredded lettuce instead of the whole pieces. But that's just personal preference. I think that would've tasted better I. The restaurant as the spring rolls got a bit soggy by the time we took it home. It is good find to visit if you dint want to venture into the heart of flushing for good vietnamese food.

Average pho spot with decent appetizers I remember coming here and enjoyed the pho more back then but broth today was not rich and def on the saltier spectrum but the meat here was amazing!! Meat was very tender and gave decent portion for both noodle dishes Bun bo hue 3.5/5 Pho 3/5 Spring rolls 4.5/5: enjoyed this a lot here Chicken drumsticks 4/5: wasn't anything special - reminded me of Korean fried chicken

Their broth is a little on the saltier side. The service is good and attentive and the place is clean. They have a smaller menu than other viet places I been to.

We haven't been here for awhile and the decor and menu had changed ( possibly new owner as well ). Food is still pretty good. The lemongrass pork came already pre cut ( must be a new chef ) but instead of cutting across the grain, it was cut with the grain ! The shrimp in the rice paper was delicious but a bit overpriced at $7.95 for one shrimp ( cut in half ). Hopefully it is just teething problems with a possibly new ownership. The pho was delicious with very intense flavor.

I first found out about this place because I saw a reel on IG and I was curious to how it taste, the place is small, parking is very limited but there is street parking available. This place comes in one size so don't expect to get smaller or bigger portions, however you can order extra meats and noodles on the side as well. They do accept Apple Pay here which is nice since I know a lot of Asian establishments will have a "CASH ONLY" rule/ sign posted. The pho was ok, wasn't anything amazing but it wasn't bad either. Super affordable and a quick and easy go to meal if you're looking for something local. As a visitor from CA, I had higher hopes since there is also a larger Asian population here in NY. Maybe it was a bad day for them? I'm willing to give this place a try again when I come back and visit.

I enjoy the Chicken Pho, its clean flavor and rich broth hits the spot during the cold winter. The Beef Pho is a classic however, the Bun Bo Hue is lacking. To be fair, not many restaurants in NYC can make a good Bun Bo Hue. The parking lot is convenient for dining in or take out.

With the incoming of cooler weather, I was craving Pho. Theres a good amount of pho spots near flushing, but Ive already tried some of them and this place seemed to have good reviews on yelp, so I decided to check it out. Theres a smaller parking area around Pho Metro, but it seems packed most of the time. If not, you might have to park in the bigger area around right next to it, but you will always find something. When my friend and I walked into the store for a weekday lunch, we found the store to be quite spacious. There were still a lot of tables open. There were a lot of young people operating this store. The service was great. They were quick to refill waters, bring us our meal and bring us the check which was appreciated. As for the Pho Dac Biet, it includes every meat [brisket, rare brisket, meatballs]. I personally love the briskets. Although the rare brisket looks pink at first, it quickly cooks and turns brown in the warm soup. So in the end, it ends up being similar to a cooked brisket. And im normally not a big fan of the meatballs, but decided to choose it anyways. It was decent. My favorite part of the pho dish was probably the soup. The soup definitely satisfied my hot soup craving. I don't know how they make it, but it's done very well and tastes amazing. I was impressed. The whole combo with the noodles, veggies, meats and soup was just what I was looking for that day. I would definitely come to order from here again

If you happen to be in the belly of College Point and in the mood for Vietnamese, their beef salad is THE dish to get. Paired with a beer or an iced tea, it will hit all the spots. Even our server said it was her favorite! I had high hopes for their Pho, but was disappointed that it didn't pack the flavor punch I thought it would. Did it warm our bellies on a rainy day? Yes. Was it clean eats? Absolutely - the broth/consommé for their Pho bowl #1 and #5 was very light, and the accompaniments of basil, jalapeños, and bean sprouts gave it a pop of freshness; however, the Pho would have come alive with some kind of fish sauce or vinegar thrown in there. The table side Siracha definitely helped make the boiled beef and pork slices more appetizing, but again...the seasoning just wasn't there.

Unassuming Vietnamese restaurant in a strip mall in Flushing. My friends and I started with veggie spring rolls (crispy and fresh) and hazelnut iced coffee (sweet and indulgent). I had the pho, reasonably packed with meat and boasting a delicious, classic broth. The broth commanded my attention and I savored it in each spoonful. Service was great and the restaurant was clean and inviting. One of my friends had the pork vermicelli bowl and she said it was the tastiest pork she'd ever eaten. Impressive! I was fortunate to come across this hidden gem and I hope to return someday to try the banh mi.

Update (05/02/24) Shout out to Darwin! Sorry! Can't believe we thought you're called Zarwin for 3 years! As always the vibe here is always good. Darwin is as friendly as always. Super attentive super nice. We've been here several times but always got the pho noodles and coffee. They are always yummy but we wanted something different. This time we tried their noodle salad, so good! We skipped started so we could get desserts. Lemme tell you, the banana cake was so yummy. Eating that with the coffee was so so so yummy!

Delicious food. We ordered pho noodles and a pork chop over rice. Pho was good but pork chop dish was dry. Good service. Nice and comfortable ambiance.

Pho Metro utilizes their space well and have about 15 tables. The decor is simple and clean. The main value isn't in their decoration but in their food and the taste of that food. The staff is attentive and friendly. Price is very reasonable and will not break the bank. And it helps that they are NOT located in really busy downtown area of Flushing and they have their own parking lot. On to the food... - the Vietnamese iced coffee is strong with a hazelnut essence, which only compliments the meal. - the chicken wing starters comes with 6 wings and are crispy and flavorful. - the spring rolls starter comes with 4 pieces. It's served with cucumbers and pickled radish and carrots, lettuce wraps and fish sauce vinaigrette. They may be slightly smaller than other restaurants however the filling was made with real pork, crab and shrimp filling. You can tell these were handmade and not store bought/frozen. - the pho was above par for anything you can find in Flushing, NY area. You can tell the broth has many flavors infused and had all of the normal fixings (rare beef, brisket, meat balls, noodles). It also had the normal side plate of bean sprouts, jalapenos, basil and lime. - the bbq pork chop over rice was tender, flavorful, and juicy. The marinade on the pork chop is on point!

I was in the mood for some pho and came here. The pho was delicious and filling. The crispy spring rolls cimes with 4 pieces and they were small. The summer roll was alright, nothing spectacular about it.

The service and the pho here is always really good but this time my girl and I decided to try the lemongrass pork chop and the cubed beef over rice and it was super disappointing. The pork was flavorless and super dry and the cubed beef over rice portion size was super small, it was like a kids meal. Super disappointed

Casual Vietnamese restaurant in strip mall with a parking lot. Menu is straightforward with all the classics. We started with the spring rolls and the summer rolls. Spring rolls were crispy and came with all the fixings to make a proper roll. Summer rolls were packed and well formed. I liked the dipping sauces for both. For the main course, we shared the traditional bahn mi and the beef pho. We dipped the bahn mi in the pho creating the ultimate bite! Both items were good. Broth was flavorful and the soup was packed with noodles. Pricing was very reasonable and the portion sizes were filling. Service was quick. No alcohol here. One gender neutral restroom. There was a second that was out of order at the time.

I don't think there is anything better than a pho noodle soup to make you feel at home. If the soup is done right it really puts you in a good place. I think the most telling for the soup is if it makes you drink a full glass of water. If it does, then the broth is not well balanced. Another classic place to enjoy pho. The spring rolls are in the small side and the Nước chấm was a bit salty. Service was friendly and fast. Always a good place to stop by if you are in the area after a movie or bowling

Stopped by on my aunt's recommendation that the pork chop over rice here was pretty good. The restaurant was clean and had a decent amount of customers dining in. I ordered take out and the wait wasn't too long. Pork chop had good flavor, and overall portion was good for 1 person. They don't have a super extensive menu like other Vietnamese restaurants but I will definitely be back to try other dishes!

I came here the other night with my bf and we had a wonderful experience! The interior is bright and open, with ample seating. The menu had many different options that I'm not used to seeing at other restaurants so I was excited to try something new. We started off with some shrimp and pork spring rolls. They were fresh, and soft, with the right amount of filling. The peanut sauce was the perfect consistency for topping but it heavy on the hoisin flavor, which I didn't mind. For the main course, we ordered bun bo hue which was a welcomed change from my usual beef pho. The noodles were soft and bouncy, which offered a nice bite. There was a generous portion of beef and pork that was very tender. I really enjoyed the spicy and savory flavor of the broth. I could've used a bit more heat but we were offered both chili oil and chili sauce to add to the broth. The bo kho was good also and reminded me a lot of my mother's braised beef brisket. It was tasty and gave me a feeling of home. We also ordered a Vietnamese iced coffee which was our favorite one yet! It was strong and rich in flavor, yet not too bitter and not too sweet. Banana pudding was interesting - a lot more tense than typical bread puddings. I thought it was a good pairing with the gelato, though I would've preferred a bit softer. I also have to point out the exceptional service we received that night. Our server, Darwin was extremely welcoming and attentive. He stopped by our table often to check in on us and give us water and napkins. We really appreciated the extra care that was given during our meal. The only negative I have to say is that they close pretty early, 8/8:30 everyday and then closed twice a week. Good for them for being able to take a break but sad we can't enjoy this any time we want. However, we will definitely be back!

About as good as it can get in the area. Deep fragrant pho broth, good cuts of meats; better pho here than most places in area. Bbq pork is good. Smaller portions but it's tasty. One pork chop Pre sliced. It was Luke warm, will let it pass. Ice coffee is strong and tasty. Having a parking lot in front is a win.

Pho was excellent, fresh springs rolls and served quick. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. Great place to dine in, quiet and clean. Definitely authentic pho place. Try it out.

This is our go-to place for Vietnamese food in Queens and absolutely the best! We have been coming here for several years and wish we had discovered it sooner. They have great food, best service (especially Darwin ) and is clean, roomy and plenty of parking. Our usual dishes include the spring roll, signature Pho, grill pork banhmi and the pork chop over rice. Their ribs appetizer and papaya salad are also great. Most pho soup base in other places are either too bland or too much MSG. However, I find Metro's pho soup base to be perfect. It's flavorful yet not overly artificially flavored. The service is also always impeccable! Darwin is always so considered and takes great care of us. They are always very clean as well. I felt safe even during the pandemic eating there. So glad we have them in our neighborhood. Definitely recommend this restaurant!

The former Pathmark shopping center off the Whitestone Expressway was not where I expected to find the best Vietnamese eatery in Queens. A Viet buddy of mine raves about this place so on good authority, I had to give it a try. He was right. The menu has pho, rice dishes and vermicelli bowls as well as your standard appetizers. The pho ga was really good - clean chicken broth and noodles cooked to perfection. The grilled pork vermicelli was also so good - grilled with just the right amount of smoky flavor and the fish sauce was the perfect foil. Prices are really good and service fast and friendly. The restaurant is also really clean and has a nice modern look to boot. It's far more impressive on the inside than from the outside. A must if you want good Vietnamese fare in the Flushing area.

This place is a vibe, I love coming here and eating and enjoying the great food that you get. Pho is a must here and so are the sandwiches.

Love the variety on the menu. You can have curry or pho. Everything we had was freshly prepared and tasty. The space itself is not big but you can sit with a larger family if you ask them to put tables together. A family of four is easy as are groups of two. More importantly everything was clean. It was definitely fun to have dessert at a Vietnamese place which is not the norm. The pudding had banana bits and was sooooo goood. We'll be back.

Omggg normally I always get the pho soup but today I tried the vermicelli bowl. It is soooo good. Perfect for summer dinner. Delish and refreshing!

The best pho I've ever had. I don't know what else to say Oh clean bathrooms :0D It's the best. Nothing negative and it was extra spicy as I asked it to be. I wish I lived closer. But will most definitely dine again or order to go when in the area. And service was very kind. Thanks guys

If you are craving Pho come check out this spot it will definitely satisfy your craving. This is my second visit and this time around I had their pork chop over rice. The pork chop is cooked perfectly and with their fish sauce it makes the dish even more tasty. This dish also comes with salad as well. Service was quick and friendly.

The service was pretty good, but the quality of food maybe...The soup was very salty.. We ordered Large, however it wasn't Large we ended up ordering extra noodle

Reviews did not live up to expectation. Prices are not on par with other pho restaurants along flushing but you will have to settle for this place if you cant get to the downtown area for better pho options and better price.

The Pho was excellent, and the service was magnificent. My wife enjoyed her chicken curry dish as well. That space seemed very spacious and they had lots of seating. The service was quick and friendly. I definitely will go back and recommend it to anyone.

TLDR: Small shop with parking. Local pho shop - AWESOME service. Great for a quick/tasty family meal. I'm not sure how we never tried this place earlier considering they've been around for a bit. The manager here is awesome, so is the entire team. So incredibly accommodating and nice. These are solid spring rolls. The pho bowl has plenty of noodles and meat. No reason to add any sides. Deliciously beefy, bouncy noodles and plenty of delicious beef slices. The noodle bowls are excellent too. Do NOT sleep on that banana bread pudding with ice cream. Oh my - probably one of my favorite restaurant desserts lately. Creamy, cold, warm, so rich and velvety. If you're in the area - definitely worth stopping by.

You wouldn't be able to tell by the outside but this restaurant is pretty spacious, clean, and food is quite good. They have some pretty decent pho, really good spring rolls and some fall off the bone ribs. While I wouldn't say it's the best pho in NY, the broth is quite clear and clean tasting. The chicken broth can probably cure a heavy hangover or cold. What makes this place even better is the staff. They're super nice and attentive. I love that there's parking right in front too!

This is our favorite Vietnamese place in Flushing. We love the pho here. They are so good. Service was always great here. It is located next to Stop & Shop. Parking is easy. Highly recommended if you are nearby.

Delivery Review We have been to this place several times to dine in; always delicious food in a comfortable setting with friendly staff Delivery just isn't as good but sometimes it's tied in the fourth quarter and you don't want to get off the couch. I appreciate the great care and thought that was taken in preparing for delivery. The soup is packaged separately from the noodles in plastic quart containers so that the noodles are soggy by the time it arrives. They are individually bagged as to protect the other food if it spills. The fresh veggies are also individually packaged to retain a freshness and a crispness to the bean sprouts; the bag also has a lovely aroma when you open it up. The meat is left rare so that it finishes cooking as you add the broth. Even with such effort in packaging, the flavors are still not the same as when you get it straight from the kitchen in a giant bowl. Flavor is loss in the transport. It's subtle, but it's there. Keeping all that in mind, if there's a craving and you aren't ready to get out of your PJs, this will suffice. The summer rolls are boxed up in a waxed paper box. Just as delicious as when dining it. Warning - the peanut sauce had hot sauce mixed in it; not sure why they did it but if you're not a fan of spicy, you may want to include instructs to leave it out.

They o lay give you half the amount of everything and the store hours on yelp need to be updated they close @9pm don't go close to closing they will turn you away and say take out only when they just seated people. I wouldn't recommend coming here there are plenty more of Pho spots that want your business and don't give you half what you pay for

Very welcoming atmosphere! The waiter actually met us at the door and set our group of four. We ordered summer rolls, which came out in 5 minutes. The Bun Bo Hue was well cooked and seasoned, with minimal heat IMO. I liked it though; the only complaint I have is that it was a bit greasy for my taste. Decently priced for the food we had. Not a byob and doesn't have a bar.... Yet :)

Hubby and I enjoyed our Pho beef soup and appetizer pork ribs ! We also ordered bahmi sandwiches to go! So delicious! Our server was informative to answering our questions and the restaurant was clean. We will definitely visit this place again!

MID. I don't know why this place has so many good reviews. Some people even say it tastes like Vietnamese home cooking. They have good service, but if you're looking for authentic bun bo hue, this isn't the place. It lacks a lot of spicy shrimp flavor that you would find in bun Bo hue. Everything is toned down. The spring rolls were good though.

I came here with four other friends for lunch. The place was semi-crowded, though service was good. We all arrived at different times, and the wait staff was on top of it, bringing water and taking our orders in a timely manner. The food was delicious, and everyone talked about how food their dishes tasted. I'll definitely come here again, possibly in the winter when I'm craving pho.
