Pho with a side of protesting - yes please! Best vermicelli dish in town, can't wait to try more items. Intimate and popular spot.

Great variety of gluten free food as a celiac. Very friendly staff, consistent on meals each time I have visited. Best authentic Vietnamese food!!

First timer here and not a stranger to Vietnamese food. Had the summer fresh rolls and grilled pork and shrimp bowl. Both were delicious and incredibly fresh. Love the house made sauces and presentation of the meals. Service was excellent and location is just as great. We will be back soon.

I came here with a friend for lunch and had this curry with tofu. I have not stopped thinking about this curry. It was so absolutely delicious. I want it morning, noon, and evening. I'm coming back for that curry. Also the staff was super friendly and the service was awesome!

Google
A great place with great Vietnamese food. The portion can be smaller than the usual portion you normally see in the US, but personally I enjoy this portion a lot more. It fills you up and makes you want to come back for more. I got the Spicy Soup Vietnamese Style and my friend got Grilled Pork&Shrimp on Rice Noodles. Both of the dishes are flavorful and delicious. The Spicy Soup was pretty close to what I would get back home in Vietnam so I say it’s pretty authentic. What I love the most about this place is that you can customize your food with a lot of options. The restaurant is also gluten-free friendly. Highly recommended!

Great soups, fast service, one of my favourite place in Boise.

My husband and I had a delicious meal at Pho Nouveau last night. We were greeted warmly by our server. Our spring rolls appetizer came quickly. They were crispy and tasty. My husband had lemongrass chicken and shrimp bun. I had Bun Bo Hue, a spicy noodle soup with stewed beef. The broth was flavorful and the beef was stewed for a long time. They were tender and delicious. Much better than the Bun Bo Hue I had in New York City. Great place for authentic Vietnamese food.

Yelp
It's been over a year since I ate at this local Vietnamese joint. My sister and I decided to eat here tonight before the Christmas tree lighting ceremony at the Capitol. We were instantly greeted. The gal that greeted us was our server. She let us pick the table we wanted to sit at. She grabbed us water and gave us a minute to check out their online menu. For dinner I was tempted to get a bowl of pho since it was so cold outside. But since I got pho yesterday I thought I'd order something different. Tonight's dinner choice was Vietnamese curry with fried tofu. My parents used to make this curry at their restaurant when I was younger. The smell and taste of it will always be a core memory for me. I remember the juicy chunks of chicken, potatoes and carrots in this beautifully crafted curry sauce. I was hoping for something similar. The bowl that was served to me was beautiful. The curry was golden. The sweet potatoes and carrots were vibrant in color. It smelled lovely. My first bite was delightful! It was fragrant in coconut, lemongrass and curry. It was very good! The curry was on the sweeter side as i continued eating it. I was only able to finish half. The curry did come with a lot of tofu! I believe the tofu was pre fried when it was purchased. It was good but wasn't fresh fried tofu. The baguette wasn't fresh. The bread didn't have the crustiness to the exterior of the bread. It was still good though. Compared to my last visit, it was night and day! Service was great! Food was good. The ambiance was casual but yet romantic. If you're looking for a good Vietnamese joint downtown, Pho Nouveau is a great local joint to try out.

Yelp
Brisket & Meatball Pho | Spring Rolls | Charbroiled Pork My go to pho when I am in Boise. I've been coming here for years and love their dishes and service.

Brooke M.

Yelp
This was ok for true Vietnamese food. They try to fancy it up with the wording on the menu and the waitress was snobby or tried to be maybe because this place is downtown Boise. When asked about pho and the size of the bowls, it was a rude and abrupt, "We have one size." Being that I lived in California for quite some time and frequented West Minster and other areas, I know good, authentic pho and other Vietnamese food when I find them. I will continue to go to the one in Nampa or the one down the road in Boise, Pho Nomenal ..... I don't want dressed up Vietnamese food. I want good, authentic food with polite and fun service.

Raegan D.

Yelp
I was visiting Boise for the week and neeeeded to get some soup! This pho really hit the spot. The rangoons were some of the best I've had, and the hot and spicy chicken was AMAZING as well! Not too spicy. If I ever come back to Boise I will definitely come back here!

Jordyn J.

Yelp
Pretty good for pho. I ordered the chicken pho and it was pretty tasty. Cute little hole in the wall spot.

Matthew A.

Yelp
Nouveau = small portion, high price, no flavor Stopped here during our short weekend in Boise. We were both feeling a little sick and looking for something yummy to warm us up. We both ordered the pho beef brisket and added meatballs. We received a small portion of noodles, that I finished in five bites (yes I counted), one meatball split in half and four pieces of very small cut brisket. Big disappointment. Service was good but this is overpriced for a warm bland snack.

Shige T.

Yelp
Best pho in town! Brisket is tender, broth odd savory, portions are nice. Great ambiance

Aurora O.

Yelp
The food was amazing and the service was friendly and quick. I will definitely go back when given a chance.

Gisela J.

Yelp
My daughter wanted me to try this place. We went for lunch and it's a small restaurant but it's super cute and it does get busy. We didn't have to wait too long for a table. Service was fast, and the server was super sweet. The food was delicious. I absolutely loved the lemonade it was so good and refreshing. I ordered lemon grass chicken. I think it was good with the cucumber salad yum yum. My daughter ordered the Pho, and she loves it.

Colin H.

Yelp
Great staff great food great drinks love the whole thing everytime I'm there. I love the tendon add on in the pho as well

Summer T.

Yelp
This was my first time here and I really enjoyed it! It's a smaller restaurant with limited seating but we were able to get sat right away! Our server was friendly and checked in but, overall, just let us eat our food! We ordered the Shrimp Fresh Summer Rolls and they were delicious! The peanut sauce is perfect! This was my first time having pho, their beef pho was delicious! I will definitely be revisiting again!

Ruthie B.

Yelp
Right in the middle of downtown this place was pretty easy to find. I was there for lunch. The place wasn't very busy. There are several tables, booths and bar seatings. I ordered the Shaken Beef Salad. It was an interesting take on the dish. I definitely would not order the dish again. The service was mediocre. My experience was just... okay.

Darrell M.

Yelp
Hidden gem of a restaurant. My go to Vietnamese. Family owned. Staff sets the mood for a great experience. Jordan is awesome every time I go in. The bun with spring roll is the only thing I need and I'll die a happy man. Wife and kids get other things and everyone really enjoys going here.

Heidi C.

Yelp
Delicious food and friendly service. I recommend the crispy spring rolls, pho, and summer noodles bowls.

Dayna C.

Yelp
This is the best Vietnamese food in Boise. I am obsessed with Pho and this spot was delicious. The pho broth was rich and flavorful without being salty. I recommend not putting hoisin or hot sauce in the broth, it's too yummy to cover up. The Spring Bowl with Chargrilled Pork was my second favorite dish. The fresh summer (spring) rolls are the best to start off lunch/dinner. They have patio and indoor seating. They serve beer and wine. Puppy friendly patio.

Allison W.

Yelp
This was my first time eating pho and I loved it! I got the beef pho - it was a huge bowl with a bunch of things to add to it (lime, bean sprouts, cilantro, basil etc). The waitress was so friendly, we ended up having a full conversation with her while ordering! The outdoor patio was small but nice. Not super expensive for being right downtown and we didn't wait very long for our food or check. Definitely want to go again!!

Lauren C.

Yelp
I ordered over the phone for the pick up. I arrived at the time they said and it was ready. The food was great. I got the chicken pho. Very tasty and a large portion.

Linh T.

Yelp
10/10 across the board! super nice staff, super clean restaurant, AMAZINGGG FOOD at a great price...like you really couldn't ask for more! the beef pho is so good man. i need to go back asap

Thea J.

Yelp
Delicious scratch made food at an affordable price! We took a large group here for lunch and enjoyed every moment of our meal. The staff was great, the food and atmosphere were amazing. And the food was delicious. We fed a party of 9 for $100+ at lunch. Highly recommend Pho Nouveau for takeout, gatherings and all the things! Yum.

Jordan S.

Yelp
This place was great! Great location, amazing pho, and the lemongrass chicken was top notch. I like to try different Vietnamese places on my travel and it is rare I go back to the same one. However, this was soooo good I went back twice!

Allie Q.

Yelp
I used to come here to eat pho while I was in graduate school lol but hadn't been in many years. I went again recently and everything was so wholesome and tasty and I loved it all over again. Really enjoyed the curry, which I had with fried tofu, and our server recommended trying it with a baguette instead of rice. 100% would order again!

Le T.

Yelp
Flavor were not authentic Vietnamese but guess they make it easy so more people can eat. Consider this is Idaho, it was okay. Both Bun bo hue (spicy beed noodle soup) and Bo luc lac (shaking beef) were too sweet. Wish they were less sweet, it would be better. The ingredients were right though. Veggie to eat with Bun Bo Hue were not fresh. Location is prime downtown. Clean and bright interior. The server only wore mask when she came to our table, no one else wore masks. But same as every stores around so not surprised. Service was friendly and fast. Price are as high as Seattle area.

Lacey P.

Yelp
We were disappointed by this spot. It smelled amazing but didn't seem authentic to us, maybe a healthy adaption? I got the vermicelli rice bowl with pork and shrimp. Everything tasted okay, it just seemed off. My husband got the shaken beef salad (Bo luc lac) and it wasn't what he was expecting. I also got the Vietnamese coffee because I saw in the photo they use the traditional drip device my MIL uses to make Vietnamese coffee at home, but it tasted off too. Admittedly, I asked for less condensed milk so that's on me, but the actual coffee flavor wasn't great. Obviously some people love Pho Nouveau so if you're in the area, check it out, but it was a miss for us. Still on the search for the best authentic Vietnamese food!!

Sierra S.

Yelp
Food was delicious! I ordered a baguette sandwich and it was perfect. And our waitress Leah, was super sweet and really helpful. Definitely recommend going here for lunch

Tony J.

Yelp
Small Vietnamese place in downtown Boise. Has a contemporary style rather than a traditional pho place. Was doing decent business on a weekend night, but not as busy as the other restaurants and bars nearby. The restrooms are shared with some of the other establishments in the same building. We go the green papaya salad to start. That came with some beef and shrimp and fish sauce, and the combination had a refreshing taste. For mains, we all got pho. They give plenty of soup and noodles, but not a lot of meat. Meatballs is a $1 extra charge on all the pho, and you can only order pho was one type of meat. The taste is good though, and has all the correct flavors. The noodles are pretty decent. Not too pricey, but wish they would have a signature pho with different cuts of beef mixed in.

Ivan S.

Yelp
Pho Nouveau is more a Americanized inspired restaurant than what we are used to. The pho bun bo hue were both lacking in flavor, although the bun thit nuong was good.

Matthew C.

Yelp
I was looking for something a little on the lighter side after some heavy meals in Boise lately. Stopped into this little gem. I had a very friendly server. The place was full (probably because of their good food and reasonable prices for the area). I got the spicy chicken over rice noodles. It had a nice sauce, not too spicy, just a little zing. Had a nice carrot/cucumber/lettuce/sprout salad and there was also some onions cooked with the meat and a little light dipping sauce. Overall a pleasant experience with some yummy food. I can see coming back here often, especially in the winter.

Tim L.

Yelp
Best in Idaho, next best is ViVis in Hillsboro, OR. Canh chua and green mango salad! Service is great, kudos to Reese.

Suraj P.

Yelp
The weather was super good so we sat outside. Last time I was in town I tried somewhere else and my friend like to eat in a Vietnamese restaurant and we saw Pho Nouveau. We were sharing food so ordered grilled chicken dinner, beef tray dinner, and pho beef. I like the soup and I thought salad comes with beef try might come differently but it comes with sauce on the side. It's tasty either. The food and service were amazing.

Dede S.

Yelp
WE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! Pho is amazing, trays are amazing and staff are all great, especially Jordan who recognizes us every time we come! One thing that makes me jump every time though is when waiters put dirty dishes in the dish catcher out in the open and they let them clang, which sitting at the high top by the walk, makes me jump every time. Plates are heavy, but so very loud and results in customers jumping out of their skin. BUT ONE OF OUR FAVORITE PLACES TO GO!!!! THANK YOU FOR YEARS OF GREAT FOOD

Hide I.

Yelp
Great food and friendly staff. Vietnamese food is limited in choices in Boise but I think they serve great food here.

Nou Memories P.

Yelp
If you want authentic Vietnamese pho, it's definitely not this place. This is an Americanized Vietnamese restaurant catered to those who don't know great Vietnamese cuisine. If you want authentic Vietnamese pho, bun bo hue or bun noddle dishes go to Pho Nyugen in Garden City. You will not be disappointed!

Ginamarie A.

Yelp
Delicious pho, every time. Been taking out pho from here since they opened and it always hits the spot. My sick food go to.

Erica F.

Yelp
The food was delicious, the service was good, BUT when I got my bill - it didn't match the prices for the online menu (which you are prompted to use with a QR code). When I asked about it, I was told that the menu was "wrong" and they couldn't fix the cost, despite being here during the 4-6pm time block, on a Tuesday, where it clearly states Happy Hour Specials. They should honor the price on their menu or update their menu to the correct price.

Riley W.

Yelp
If you like Pho, this is one of the best places in Boise. It's perfect for a rainy day. The Beef Pho with Thai tea is my go-to order. It also has a great atmosphere and huge windows. The service is very speedy!

Jana H.

Yelp
First time I ate here everything was fabulous. The pho had lot of fresh veggies and the flavor was excellent. Today I came here again, had the spring rolls which were good and then had the vegetarian pho with tofu. To my surprise I found a piece of chicken in my pho which I didn't appreciate. Also, it feels like they put way too many noodles and not as much veggies. My friend had the beef pho and also commented on the large amount of noodles. Service was great.

Ariel P.

Yelp
The. Best. Pho. In. Boise. I come here every chance I get when I'm craving Pho. I'm a creature of habit so I always get the Spicy Pho American Style. Love the larger rice noodles! I wish there were more tables in their location, but even when I have to wait a couple minutes to be seated I'm happy to do so. The staff is always nice, and quick. Love it here.

Yelp
I was in town to see my daughter take part in a school event. She was eating with her group and I was left to fend for myself on Valentine's Day. The first restaurant I tried made it clear I would be an imposition, so I moved on to Pho Nouveau. There was no blood sausage, otherwise everything was great as far as the food. (The Bun Bo Hue was perfectly spiced, not watered down, but also designed for eating and not just to show off how tolerant of heat you could be.) I'm writing this review because it is extremely rare in my experience to receive service of the quality I received. There were two servers, both good, but mine, Alyssa, was incredible! Alyssa was polite, efficient and welcoming. She noticed me instantly when I walked in and told me to sit wherever I liked. She was there in seconds to answer questions and take my order. Though she was fast, she did not make me feel rushed. At first I didn't take any more notice than this, but since I was by myself I was in a good position to see what was going on. First of all, Alyssa noticed and greeted every customer who entered almost instantly. Secondly after delivering my order (very quickly by the way, especially considering how busy it was), she checked back after a minute or so to ensure that the order was correct and that I had everything I needed. I told her it was, but that from the first sip of my Stella draft I knew I would need a second before I left. She said "great" or something similar and I didn't think about it further, but later as I was finishing my Stella, no sooner had I put my glass down, she was there with another. This is what excellent service should be but rarely is: you're not really aware the server is even there, but somehow when you start having the thought "maybe I need a refill" the server is there, giving you a refill. And that was what this felt like. I knew it was busy, so when I was finishing up I started thinking that I should ask for the check. I looked up and saw Alyssa across the room holding a check as she ambled by the tables, looking at each one as she went by. Did she not know who had asked her for their check? And then she got to me and I realized the check was for me! She was looking at the other tables so she could be anticipating their needs as well for them as she had done for me! The other server was also very good: polite and efficient; but it was busy, and I could sense that he was feeling the pressure that that very busy-ness creates. Alyssa, on the other hand, had half the tables and seemed to be handling all of the to go business (which was more than the in person business) and yet she gave the impression she had all the time in the world! When a neighboring couple wanted to memorialize their Valentine's day with a photo, Alyssa was happy to oblige, and then showed it to them with an offer of a retake if they liked! I'm not likely to be back in Boise anytime soon, but with world class service like this, the least I can do is to call it out so that the locals who haven't been there can learn what they're missing, so that they'll make the decision to support a special local business! Thank you, Alyssa, for a memorable experience!

Carlin P.

Yelp
We've been twice now since discovering this downtown restaurant- I keep getting the summer noodle bowl- so light and refreshing and delicious!! Service is quick, wait staff is attentive. Will keep going back!

Amanda D.

Yelp
Had a wonderful meal during lunch time. I got the lemon-grass chicken lunch special and they happily subbed the cucumber salad for steamed veggies. They came and checked on me several times and made sure my water was always full. Great customer service. The lemon-grass chicken was delicious and very flavorful. I would most definitely order it again. Everything I have had on the menu so far has exceeded my expectations!

Mckinley L.

Yelp
I'm usually not huge on pho but my other half is. We came here last night and everything was just 10/10. The crab ragoons were honestly probably the best I've ever had. I have no idea what the dipping sauce was for the ragoons but it was absolutely delicious. I genuinely think that this place has ruined pho for me. I don't think I will ever be able to go anywhere else. Absolutely 10/10. Atmospheres was so chill and fun. Wait staff was SO FAST.

Steph C.

Yelp
Been searching for food pho since moving from CA! This place hits the mark, the broth was super flavorful and the meat toppings were tender and delish! Service was amazing, our server was running the front counter, and waiting on all the tables all with a huge smile! He made genuine conversation, helpful on the menu, and all around super sweet! This is definitely going to be our pho spot!

Regan C.

Yelp
Best pho I've ever had, and I've had some good pho being from the Bay Area. Try the beef shank pho or even chicken & the pork & shrimp spring rolls!

Khammany S.

Yelp
Boise... listen y'all lucky ass! Authentic flavor with happy waiters that treat you right. You have grandma and grandpa in the kitchen keeping the spicy noodle bowl delicious. Mine did come with pho noodles but I ain't mad at that. Then they go and hire amazing waiters that are nice as hell! Like if they hate me they sure know how to bury that 6 feet deep. They probably don't I'm so dam nice haha. I only had bun bo hue. I wish they had the chili in oil and people were right the place is a bit small so if you're bringing a big group let them know ahead of time maybe that will help. ‍

Amie A.

Yelp
Just had one of those, "Where have you been all my life?" moments this weekend when I came here. Then I realized I've been walking by this place for years without ever stopping in and that it's been right under my nose all along. Anyways, now that I've had a collision with their delicious food - I will most certainly be back. They have a lot of construction going on in front of the shop right now, so try to pay no mind to the look of the entrance. Once you get past it, you'll find yourself in a cozy little restaurant. There wasn't a ton of places to sit, so I imagine that during their busy hours they run a wait. They have some bar style seating, a few high tops, but the majority of the restaurant is lower tables. My friends and I ordered their pork and shrimp spring rolls for a starter, and those were delicious! The sauce they come with is fantastic, and if you want to kick it up a notch - throw some of their chilly paste on it. For the main course, I was planning on having pho. But last minute, I asked the waitress for some recommendations and she said I should try the Shaken Beef Salad. SO glad I did. The meat was tender, sweet, savory, and all around delicious. It came on a generous bed of veggies and salad greens - so while I was stuffed by the end of my meal, I didn't feel half bad about it. SCORE. Our server was super sweet, gave awesome recommendations, and stopped by our table frequently to top off our waters and see if we needed anything. Great location downtown, cozy but classy vibe inside, and delicious food!

Kathleen H.

Yelp
Best ever Pho, according to my husband. Nice little restaurant. Fast service. One little caveat: tables are "sticky." Needs a bit of cleaning done around the little place. Then, it would get six stars.

Amanda J.

Yelp
The absolute best pho in Boise I could literally eat it everyday. This pho could ruin my life and I'd still come back. When I die out my money in this grave.

Leti P.

Yelp
The pho was delicious, great service. Thai tea was really good. The ambiance was relaxed and chill. Will definitely go back when visiting Idaho.

Ruben S.

Yelp
The pho here is Amazing. Super full of flavor and a good amount of food. I'm from California and to fall in love with food is far and in between
