Drove by this plaza a few times and saw Pho Place in the corner. Decided to turn back around and go. Glad I did. Perfect day for it. Clean and quiet restaurant with a friendly family staff. I ordered a sweet tea. (By the way…best sweet tea in Birmingham) Started with wings because Vietnamese wings are always crispy, hot, and flavorful. I should have gotten 20 of them. Then I went with a classic pho. The menu number was the P3. Beef Noodle with brisket and tendon. Broth was perfect. I might go back today now that I’m thinking about it.

I love eating here with my partner. Our waiter is always nice and very helpful when it comes to wanting details on of the food on the menu. I love the music taste, it really makes the atmosphere relaxing. The food is delicious. This is one of my favorite places to eat at.

Google
Excellent Pho and other dishes. Great service and super spot on staff. Atmosphere is very modern , super clean, well maintained which others may like, but I prefer an older, traditional atmosphere, but that's just my preference. Most people would rate 5 stars for the food, but I have a place that I'm comparing it to that's almost impossible to beat. But this is a very close second. That said, the food is excellent here.

We drove 12 hours from Virginia to Birmingham, Alabama for a road trip and decided to visit the Pho Place Restaurant on the recommendation of a friend who lives just 10 minutes away. Coming from a town known for its authentic Vietnamese cuisine, we didn’t have high hopes for a smaller town like Birmingham. However, to our surprise, the Pho was perfectly executed and the accompanying vegetables were incredibly fresh. Although the BBH was just average, the restaurant boasts a lovely decor, is brightly lit, and immaculately clean. The service was exceptionally friendly, adding to an overall amazing experience. A well-deserved 5 stars!

Want to find the best Pho noodle in town? Pho Place is where you should go. I love the fresh pho noodle. It is exactly what I am looking for the leathery noodles, not too soft as general pho noodles elsewhere. The soup was amazing and very good seasoned and was simmered from the beef bones. You can order more beef meat balls as the favorite topping. The vegetables also have a bonus point for the overall meal. The owners are so friendly and will welcome you with the smiles. The price is 👍. ❤️ this Pho Place.

Google
usually great customer service! for some reason today it’s OFF, they are telling me they aren’t able to do things that they do for me ALL the time. I simply asked for the beef to be placed on the side of my dish and they tell me they can’t. 0/10 for today. horrible service

Google
My family loves Pho as well as all things Vietnamese. The food here is very good. Notwithstanding the possible cultural differences in service expectations, this place has the most rude service personnel to the point that we can tolerate it no longer. Food served without a single work spoken, pleasantry or basic civil discourse. Very odd, cold and awkward behavior. I am always left with the feeling that we are not wanted here. Weird. I especially appreciate the funny comment by a previous reviewer who wonders if "the workers there are working against their will. "

Google
I have been to Vietnam twice so the Pho is not really in the same league but it is above average for the US. I do not really understand all of the hate for Derrick. He may not be that outgoing but he was very effecient and prompt. My girlfriend (who is Vietnamese) noticed that the broth is a darker than it is in Vietnam. The second picture below is the best Pho I had in Hanoi. The first is the Pho Place.

Yelp
Oh wow!!! I have never been to this place and had no idea about it but wow. It looks normal from the outside but the second you walk in it feels like a high level restaurant. It is so nice and clean and well laid out. The service is always my main attraction and they were seriously perfect. The main young man that walked me to my table actually slid my chair back as a very polite gentleman. Then he and even another lady server were both completely perfect the entire time for real. The Pho and the spring rolls were all perfect flavor too. This place is the best for real.

Yelp
IM CRAZY PHO YOU! Now that the weather is just beginning to cool down, soup and pho season is upon us. After some shopping across 280 with a friend this past week, we were looking up potential spots for dinner. When we came across Pho Place we said why not... neither of us have ever had pho before and were wanting to try something new. We are both big fans of Asian food across the board and pho was one thing that we hadn't tried and always wanted to. Like they say.. when the opportunity presents itself... The interior of the restaurant was beautiful. Tons of tables and places to sit. We were sat quickly upon arrival. Though, the servers were a little blah overall. Zero personality. I ordered the crispy noodle dish with chicken and vegetables on top. While my friend ordered the spicy pork pho. Both of our dishes were very flavorful. But we did not like that our sodas were $3.75 a piece. I know places need to make money, but I felt like that was a bit much for just a soda... Overall, it's a great spot to meet and have lunch or dinner with friends. Seems bougie inside, but it's not with the prices. Definitely a hopping spot especially as the weather continues to get cooler.

Yelp
Great restaurant and great in a pinch. I came here with a friend because Saigon was closed (that's our go to) and it ended up being a great alternative. The service is very fast! Our food came out less than 10 min after ordering. I got the chicken pho and it was pretty good, nothing incredible. The noodles were a bit softer than I normally like and the chicken was a little hard to chew. The broth had a little bit of sweetness and some warm spices. I would come back if Saigon were closed again

Peter H.

Yelp
Troph passed this place remaining years and decided to give it a try, and I was not disappointed! We got the Pho Ga, and Bun Bo Huey , in both was delicious! The pho ga broth was deep and flavorful! The Bun Bo Hue broth was just the right amount of spice! The meets in both were also plenty and flavorful! This place is a few dollars more pricey than your average pho restaurant, but worth the money!

Nathan N.

Yelp
Great restaurant. Everyone here is so friendly and polite! Such a vibe with great foods! Highly recommend

Margaret B.

Yelp
When I tell you the Pho here is delicious, believe me when I say it! It's a no frills place but they have really good pho. The service is quick and they will explain anything to you that you need to know. They will even work with you to create if it's not exactly on the menu. I asked the waiter if they had any fish sauce...he said sure and brought it right out to me! This is a sign of great Pho !! If they have fish sauce in the building you are in the right place!!!

Charmaine C.

Yelp
I decided to have lunch with Pho Place for something warm and delicious. I arrived at opening and was surprised how well the atmosphere is. They have done a great with decor as accompany it with wonderful service too! I started with the egg roll appetizer which was great. I ordered a pho with beef which it was good but not sure is my fave. I will be returning to try other dishes as well.

Azka A.

Yelp
It's very difficult to find local Vietnamese places that serve vegetarian-friendly broths, noodles, etc. so I was ecstatic when I saw Pho Place had options! The noodles & broth were so comforting and flavorful- their chili oil really made it. The restaurant itself is on the smaller and more casual side but it was perfect for a little catch up dinner with a friend. The whole staff was very kind and clearly puts lots of a care into the clientele. Will definitely be back to try more dishes!!

Yelp
Pho Place is a small but pleasant restaurant in a shopping plaza in Inverness, Alabama. My server was extremely friendly and professional and gave me a few suggestions. I opted to go with the pho (you can never go wrong with pho). I found the pho to be very good. The broth was good, the vegetables were fresh, the noodles tasty and the meat was very good. The pricing was good and my overall experience was incredibly positive. Since it is in a shopping plaza, parking was not an issue. Pho Place is a great Vietnamese restaurant and one that I would definitely recommend. I will give Pho Place five stars overall.

Alice L.

Yelp
We are loyalist of the Vietnamese place across the street, but decided to try Pho Place for lunch on a Sunday to see what we are missing. The service is decidedly unfriendly, but it is efficient. The interior is minimalist, clean, and warmly lit. Not a date night spot by any stretch! Prices are higher than average but the food was very good. Kids pho (KM1) comes without greenery which my child loved. The broth was extremely flavorful, complex, and deep. The B3 charbroiled pork noodle bowl was exceptionally fresh, sweeter than average, lacking fresh herbs, heavy on the peanuts (yum!), and very satisfying. Pork was not as flavorful as competitor but it was a juicy, sliced chop as opposed to shaved meat. B5 curry chicken noodle bowl was equally fresh, but also lacked herbs and didn't have much curry flavor. All-in-all it beat its neighbor in freshness and complexity of flavor, but fell behind in service, price, and some elements/ingredients.

Yelp
Embarking on a culinary adventure at Pho Place for lunch, I set my sights on the banh mi sandwich. Little did I know, I was about to experience a flavor sensation that would leave my taste buds singing praises. The bread, toasted to perfection, cradled tender pork and a plethora of vibrant veggies, creating a complex journey of textures and tastes that danced harmoniously on my palate. It was a banh mi masterpiece, rivaling even the most renowned in town. Amidst the cozy and pristine ambiance, the attentive and amiable staff catered to my every need, ensuring a dining experience that was not only satisfying but also delightful. In conclusion, this pho place has captured my culinary heart with its impeccable banh mi and impeccable service. With prices that won't break the bank, I eagerly anticipate my return to bask in the flavors of Vietnamese cuisine once more. Five stars? Without a doubt.

Yelp
Chargrilled pork spring rolls were delicious - so light and fresh. I could honestly just make a meal off of these. Chewy rice paper enrobed the perfect proportion of rice vermicelli, crispy shredded lettuce, and chargrilled pork. The peanut dipping sauce was perfection- so good I ate every last drop of it. Hot and sour soup was neither spicy nor sour. But it was served with fried wonton strips, which added some texture and flavor. General Tso's chicken was pretty bland. Soy sauce (salty) was the predominant flavor in the sauce. It was also pleasantly spicy (lip numbing) from a hefty addition of spicy dried peppers that were stir fried into the dish. Fried rice was light and good. It was a very generous portion of food and a good value for lunch. Service was quick and attentive. And he encouraged me to try the Vietnamese food the next time I came in, which I will happily do!

Yelp
Ordered to go before heading to Pell City. It's probably the worst banh mi nem nuong we have ever gotten. Plus, it's the most expensive at $10.99 each. The ones I get in New Orleans are much cheaper at $7, but the best tasting. Here, the bread was over toasted, so it was super crispy/hard. My husband choked and coughed while trying to eat his. There's no mayo or pate. Only a small amount of soy sauce of some sort, like wow. I got 2 banh mi nem nuong and an order of goi cuon nem nuong. The goi cuon was very average and there was peanut sauce, the sauce was the best thing honestly. Usually, nem nuong goi cuon comes with a crispy stick inside, but this one only has shredded lettuce, noodles, and 2 thin slices of nem nuong in each roll, it's $6.99 for 2 rolls. I really can't believe I paid that much for the quality of the banh mi not even meeting average expectations.

Yelp
This was some of the best Vietnamese food I've ever had! We ordered pho and a Bún noodle dish-P2 and B2; B2 was my favorite and it was my first time trying Bún. The Bún was incredibly flavorful and it came with charbroiled pork and pork egg rolls. It was a sizable dish packed with flavor and toppings. The pho was delicious and it was served with tons of herbs that you could add to it. The menu is huge and there was so much I wanted to try. I can't wait to return.

Brian C.

Yelp
Love this place. The space is awesome and the food is fantastic. We much prefer Pho Place to the other Vietnamese place down the street and there is never a wait to get a table.

Yelp
I wanted to introduce Pho to my bf but I wanted to make sure he had good Pho for the first time. I am new to Birmingham so I asked a friend for recommendations. She spoke highly of this place so we decided to go for it. The restaurant is quaint. The decor is not the best but it was clean and has tables and chair so that's all we need besides good food We both ordered the rare beef flank steak and brisket Pho and Vietnamese egg rolls. The rolls were pretty big! The outside was flaky and crispy. The filling was tasty (rice noodles, ground pork and small pieces of carrot and cabbage). The soup was great! Very aromatic. The broth was a little on the bland side but a dash of salt and some Sriracha took care of that. The noodles were perfectly cooked. The meat was tender and plentiful. We also shared a Thai iced tea...best one I've had in a very long time! The best part of it was that my bf LOVED it! Mission accomplished. Looks like we found our Pho spot!!

Kenia M.

Yelp
It was my first time trying Pho. It was supper good definitely recommend and will be coming back . The service was amazing Johnny was super patient and nice.

Brittan G.

Yelp
Hopefully something was off when I went but I have never had a worse meal. The pho was inedible and the water tasted like they had scooped it from a sewer

Kaylee S.

Yelp
i went there a while back and my pho was cold and the noodles and vegetables were stuck together, my sisters food was completely icy like it just came out of the fridge. the taste was mediocre, the service wasn't good, would recommend any other pho place because any of them are better vibe wise. we got stared at the whole time by our server sitting across from us. wasted $50.

Yelp
After moving here from California, I've been going here and another Vietnamese place on 280 near by. I was in search of the best Vietnamese restaurant. After comparing the two, I feel like pho place is the most authentic. I love their pho and other Vietnamese dishes are great. They even serve Chinese food which I've tried. Their Chinese food is actually one of the better ones than some other Chinese restaurants in Birmingham IMO. I am always hesitant of trying new dishes and being disappointed. Because I have ordered at other Vietnamese places before in bhm and other Asian places. After some convincing advice from the waiter, I tried their pork chop and rice and it was great. The pork chop is thicker than the Vietnamese kind but the flavor was there. It came with the side soup and a Vietnamese steam egg and shredded pork. Today I tried their banh mi. Bread was soft and fresh with all the fixings in a banh mi should have. It was very yummy. Now I'm not afraid to order anything here. You will not be disappointed. I can say after living in Birmingham for two years, pho place is the best Vietnamese restaurant in town. It reminds me of back home (ca) and it doesn't disappoint. The only thing I wished was that they brought back the smoothies (I love avocado smoothies) and some of there dishes they had in the past I see in photos years back.

Troi M.

Yelp
The best pho spot in town The soup is always hot and they have the clear spring rolls that are such a great add on. The regular size is big enough for me and I can barely finish it. With all the spices and fresh herbs it's the icing on the cake. The staff were also very attentive and friendly. I have come here many times before and will continue to do so in the future.

Vicki B.

Yelp
I was visiting Birmingham with my niece and we had a craving for Pho or Ramen. After checking Yelp, we decided on Pho Place. First, it was in a newer outdoor mall off of 280 which was close. When we walked in, we were creative and I looked on the place and it looked very clean my niece ordered chicken Pho and I ordered the thin sliced beef. She also got pork dumplings, which she said were delicious. They brought out the Pho fresh toppings which were wonderful and made for a really tasty Pho. We loved this place and decided that we will be back. My niece said it was the best Pho she ever had and she is pretty picky!!

Meghan H.

Yelp
Best pho place in the BHM area. Friendly staff and great feel good Pho. I would highly recommend this place if you are a fan of Pho. This is hands down the place to get it.

Pamela W.

Yelp
Came here with my daughter & her bestie & we ate like fat rats!! The food was fresh & outstanding we appreciate the server taking the time to explain the dishes since it was our first time trying pho! I'll definitely be back

David C.

Yelp
Amazing food and great service. The food is authentic and the servers are very attentive.

Gabrielle M.

Yelp
I'm 7 months pregnant and their pho helped with my morning sickness! Haha slight exaggeration but really, their pho with brisket and rare slices of meat (P6) is excellent. The broth is so clear and herbal, but not overly rich. I was feeling nauseous and hadn't been able to keep much of anything down, but this really did help me feel so much better. Plus it's really comforting during these cold winter months. My husband also finished his bowl and was blown away at how delicious it is. The portion sizes are very generous. And every soup bowl is served with a side plate of Thai basil, cilantro, bean sprouts, and jalapeño slices. You can customize your bowl with these additions and hoisin sauce or sriracha.

Maxine G.

Yelp
Ethnic food is hard to judge from a Western "Southern" heritage. Having spent some time in Vietnam I have a fondness for the people, culture and food. From the clientele I'm thinking the food has a homey feel. Go too's : Fried Egg Rolls, Fried Shrimp Rolls, got to have some fish sauce, noodle bowls and Pho of all kinds.

Amanda F.

Yelp
The absolute best pho in town!!!! They make the broth hot enough that the bean sprouts cook a lil in the broth - please look at how the broth is literally glistening honestly can't say enough about broth lol The Bun Bo Hue is my boyfriend's favorite! (He's Vietnamese) they use the perfect noodles and not use pho rice noodles. The flavor and spice hits the spot!!! Can't recommend their food enough.

Autumn S.

Yelp
This is the best pho in Birmingham! The broth is delicious. Pictured is the Pho Tai, which is my go to for good standard pho, and the Bun Bo Hue which was delicious as well! It wasn't crowded at all at 11:30 and we got our food quickly.

Sonya V.

Yelp
Great service! Food is always yummy! Pho is my go to get well quick meal. Food is quickly prepared and always good.

La-Shonda S.

Yelp
I came here for lunch one day because I had a taste for it. The place reminded me of the one on Green Springs that I use to go to. The place was soooo good, I really enjoyed it. I didn't eat inside but the place was very open. I told the server of the noodles I wanted because I couldn't think of the name of it. The server helped me with the name of it. The food was so delicious and I enjoyed all of it. I will definitely be back when I'm looking for lunch again.

Herb L.

Yelp
So,... I came here when it first opened 2-3 years ago and it was horrific!! That said, I came because my friend brought me back. And surprisingly, much better. Past 3 times, I came back for one thing. Pork Chop! First two was good. Last time, I had to send it back because it wasn't cooked all the way. I'll try one more time but stuff like this is how you loose a loyal customer.

Briana J.

Yelp
I enjoyed the food. The place was seemingly clean. Our server seemed a bit perturbed but he still served well.

Taylor H.

Yelp
My favorite pho in the city. The service is always quick and correct. The restaurant itself is cozy and inviting. I will continually come back.

Glenn O.

Yelp
Wow hot and sour soup was chock full of goodies. Love me some water chestnuts, cashew chicken was quite good. I'll be back

James B.

Yelp
I'm here for the vegetable and seafood hot pot over rice! This dish is consistently well-prepared with crisp, fresh vegetables - I recommend it. The taste is very minimal and balanced. It's my FAVORITE BITE in Birmingham, Alabama. Give this restaurant a try :)

Michael J.

Yelp
I've put this restaurant on my weekly rotation. Every time I've been here the service and food is great. Very authentic. The menu is big. It took me a while to decide what I wanted. I've about settled on the hot pots and the spring rolls (best I've had). Environment is nice. If your in the mood for Pho this is the place in Birmingham.

Lexi K.

Yelp
amazinggggg!!!! the broth is so tasty! esp bc i've tried pho at a lot of places and usually the broth is bland. not here. so much flavor. i got the H4 and it was so delicious. the serving size is large so be prepared. definitely will be back for more very very soon

Parker D.

Yelp
Hostess/waitress is so rude. We were the only people there so she stared at us the entire time and we had no privacy. There was also a guy that came out and he would literally turn his head to stare at us it was so awkward. I ordered pho ga and was given pho tai and she got mad when I told her it was wrong, and then just took the beef out and put chicken. the noodles were also short and mushy. Nasty food nasty experience. Saigon Noodle House is so much better and significantly cheaper.

David L.

Yelp
Only been opened for 2 weeks, Pho Place is another "Pan-Asian" restaurant that on the front says they are Vietnamese, but they also serve a full range of "Chinese" dishes. The interior is very clean and decorative. There is plenty of wide open spaces that could be filled with tables later with tables already lining one wall and booths on the other. There is a small "bar" where they can make such drinks as bubble tea but I'm not sure if it's a full bar. They have a couple of large screen tv with one of them setup for karaoke. Surprise, surprise :) We wanted to try their "lettuce wraps" but they were out, so we got the shrimp spring rolls. They were huge, fresh, and delicious especially with the accompanying peanut sauce. See pics. Tammy tried the Clay Pot with chicken and crispy rice. I thought the chicken was very good. It almost melted in your mouth. She thought the rice could've been a little crispier. Instead of a "real" clay pot, the meal is served in metal/ceramic pot that actually keeps the heat better. Matthew had the traditional Pho Beef Noodle soup with thinly sliced rare beef. He finished the whole bowl. It tasted exactly as I expected. Sarah got her regular rice vermicelli noodles with shrimp in a chicken stock soup. This soup tasted a little sweeter than what we're accustomed to but it was still delicious. It was a generous portion with about 5 large shrimp. Rachel tried the stir fried rice noodles with beef. The noodles could've used a touch more sauce and seasoning. The large slices of beef were delicious as were the generous portions of veggies. I ordered the rice vermicelli noodles with fried pork eggrolls and pork. It is another traditional Vietnamese dish but they put a lot of more cucumber and I love cucumber. I love pouring the little bowl of fish sauce all over and then mixing everything up like a toss salad! I have to mention that the charbroiled pork in my dish was outstanding! I'm not exactly sure what they marinate the pork in, but it is Delicious with a capital D (I had to go back and capitalize the D in delicious)!!! Our server was excellent and very attentive. We didn't even have any leftovers to take home because Matthew was so hungry he finished up everyone else's meal. Pho Place is in a great location and can be seen off 280. It is nestled between Chucky Cheese and Art's Music so they should catch a wide range of patrons. I hope they do well and I will be returning soon.

Michelle C.

Yelp
Average Vietnamese Chinese food place. Seating is plentiful so I imagine it's good for big parties and the food comes out quickly. The pho is decent but not spectacular or mind blowing. Menu is quite extensive, there could be some real gems in there if you take the time to invest in eating at this place several times. Service at the end was a bit weird, felt the waiter was short and wanted to get us out asap. Overall, will probably do the trick if you're craving Asian food but it's nothing special.

Paul C.

Yelp
The Pho Place opened in September 2016. Curiously it is located on Highwas 280 near Pho 280 and the Saigon Noodle House. I like options, and it will be interesting to see how the new competition affects these nearby Vietnamese restaurants. My wife, daughter, and I had lunch on Sunday morning. The restaurant was busy, and the majority of customers were of Asian decent. The owner waited on us, and we immediately recognized each other. She previously owned Asian Cusine that is located on John Hawkins Parkway in Hoover. She is super friendly and has a big, welcoming personality. Linh and Jenny ordered Pho, and I ordered Bun Bo Hue. The potions were huge, and we noted that the bowls had generous amounts of meat. I liked my dish, but would have preferred if the broth had been a bit more spicy. The soups were served with a heaping plate of fresh add-in (bean sprouts, greens, and cabbage for my Bun Bo hue). Linh and Jenny liked the Pho. Jenny ordered a strawberry bubble tea. It looked a little light, and Jenny confirmed that the mix tasted a little off. Linh and I ordered Cafe Su Da. This excelent iced coffee was brewed and mixed before it was served. I prefer personal brewing because it adds to the experience. They accommodated my particularness and I've added a picture. Overall, I thought the food was good, and service was excellent. In addition to Pho, the menu offers many traditional Vietnamese entrees and a complete list of Chinese dishes.

Mandy W.

Yelp
After reading multiple good reviews of the Pho Place, we decided to give it a try for lunch yesterday. As regulars at Birmingham's oldest (and best IMO) Vietnamese restaurant, we are somewhat of pho snobs (if that is a thing) so it was quite a reach for us to try another new Pho shop. We started with the chargrilled pork spring rolls and had them add shrimp. The combination of vermicelli noodles, pork, shrimp, and herbs turned out to be pretty good, although I have had better Vietnamese spring rolls. The ones with the crunchy sticks in the middle are always great, but these had none. For entrées, my husband ordered the bun bo hue with meatballs and I ordered the shrimp vermicelli noodle bowl. The bun bo hue broth was outstanding! I am usually a pho fanatic, but in the summer sometimes hot soup just isn't doable, so I decided to mix things up and get something different. I was not very impressed with the dish that I ordered; a large serving of vermicelli noodles topped with green onions, iceberg lettuce and chargrilled shrimp. I added the sauce served alongside, but it just didn't add much flavor. We would definitely give this place another try and sample some more menu items.

Frank B.

Yelp
Ok, I've eaten a LOT of pho. Seriously. I was the "Duke" of my last favorite place which had to close due to COVID and staff issues. I was very very sad to say the least. I have been searching all over bham for another favorite place. I was so excited when I found this place! Finally, someone else knows how to make a spicy beef soup! I think it's called Bun Bo Hue or something. It was EXCELLENT! Well cooked beef, super fresh veggies and an amazing broth! Me so happy now. Only thing is I hate the fat noodles. I just have them substitute with the thinner vermicelli and I'm in heaven. I do intend to eat a bunch of it. Get used to me folks!

John L.

Yelp
Found my go to Vietnamese restaurant in Bham area. Been to a handful but this one has got me hooked. Great overall menu options. Had their bun bo hue, pho and Hu Tieu thap cam so far. Enjoyed it all. For appetizers their shrimp and pork spring rolls are great. Same with the grilled pork nem nuong spring rolls as well. I haven't tried another place since going here. Will be back many times to chip away at their menu items.

Eli D.

Yelp
It was our first time trying this restaurant, and we were excited. I ordered Singapore noodles and the dish was sweet, which is odd for that dish. I informed the waitress and she offered a different dish. My wife said her dish was "just okay." So I didn't want a new dish, appreciate the offer however. But when going here please know they did not take the dish off our bill. She said she "couldn't void it." A hat statement came After 25 minutes without checking on us. Just an FYI...

Ivancka S.

Yelp
One of the ways I rate the authenticity of a place is the type of hot sauce they offer and something more than Sriracha. This place hits the nail on the head with their hot sauce selection, anything that is immersed in chili oil and is intimidating to the average joe is enough to draw me in. I've been to majority of the Vietnamese restaurants in Birmingham and what I find is the meat to noodle ratio is in dire need of improvement. However, I really feel I got value for my money with the portions of meat/seafood they offer. Their menu selection is vast and if you wanted to try something other than pho, they have that to offer. I usually get the pho but I decided to venture out and order one of the egg noodle soups (H3 on the menu) and it was love at first bite. Every item I have order has impressed me. This place has dishes with well rounded flavors, friendly staff and authenticity you can't deny.

Janet K.

Yelp
I'm going to admit I love eating half my meal in the restaurant and eating the other half at home watching TV with my pets. I started this review after I just had another satisfying meal from my left over Pho. I was thrilled with the service and the bowl size of my Shrimp Pho today. I've went to NUMEROUS places trying to decide what I felt like eating today. Saw this place as I was on my way to another grocery story so I read the reviews and a few Elite Yelpers had wonderful reviews so that decided it for me. The owner's extended family were leaving when I entered. However, even with small childen and infants it was still very quiet and peaceful and I like family businesses. My server checked on me often as I reviewed the extensive menu. The sweet Tea was strong and sweet! The bathroom was clean as was everything else. Before I could completely check into Yelp my order was placed in front of me. Steaming hot bowl of broth with fresh noodles and six plump shrimp. The tables are stocked with just about everything one could need. The server gave me a saucer with fresh mint, basil, cilantro, limes and jalapeño sections. He even asked later if I needed more herbs or anything? I was completely happy with my visit. I wish I lived closer so I could become a regular customer but I will make sure to pick up take out when I'm in the area!

I enjoyed my vegetable pho and rolls. It was close to my house, so good location for me. Definitely will come back!
