Phoenix Cafe

To be honest, I was confused. I've studied past reviews and prepared myself well before visiting, only to find that the restaurant had a new menu, which was much shorter than what was previously posted, and the food that I was looking forward to try wasn't there anymore. Perhaps the cafe had a change of management, but I was willing to give it a try. We ordered the Bun Bo Hue and beef oxtail soup, considering that it was a rainy day in LA, and I wanted something to warm myself before bedtime. The two soup bowls came covered with saran wraps, and judging from the temperature, they had just been heated separately (the Bun Bo Hue was hot, while the oxtail soup was a bit lukewarm). I had to grab my own utensils and napkins from a different counter, as the tables in the cafe were devoid of any articles. The flavours were on the right notes. The Bun Bo Hue had a mild kick, and the noodles were a great feature of the dish. The dish came with a small cup of kimchi, but it was nothing to write about. The oxtail soup was great, the soup was refreshing and subtle, and the oxtails were tender. My only complaint was that I wished mine came in warmer. All in all, I'd come again for the food, either to savour the soups, or perhaps try other dishes, though there is more to a great dining experience than just good food.

The pics online looked as though the restaurant was fancy and elegant but it's basically fast Chinese food inside a casino. Good menu but food was mediocre.

Korean Sausage Breakfast was delicious! Reminded me of how my mom used to make it with sunny side up eggs, tomatoes, fresh cucumber. Yum.

Genuine Asian cuisine and fair price, highly recommended

Not bad for fast food inside a casino... Not your typical Chinese fast food like orange chicken.. (even though they have it) They also have dim sum, Thai dishes, noodle soup, and more... Their Hainan chicken was decent but their Singapore noodles lacked flavor. Luckily they have the typical Asian condiments to help with that. Including fish sauce. I work nights so it is convenient that they're open until 2am. Will try more dishes later and add to review..

Phoenix cafe is open till 3am. Great place to stop in for a late night meal. They offer a lot of varieties dishes. I really enjoy the duck.

This was a great disappointment. The pictures are misleading and the food that everyone ordered was cold. The fried rice was just rice and soy sauce. I do NOT recommend this restaurant.

I intended on visiting the casino specifically to eat here instead of the casinos other restaurant. I saw that it was not the nicest dining area and the diners' food was not very appetizing. I did see that it was right next to gambling tables, allowing players to grab a quick bite so that can get back to playing. I even saw a player eating his food at the game table while playing. I passed on the cafe and went to the other restaurant. I'll do a review on it.

Excellent food & beverage choices. Service was superior as well. We were a party of 5 and we ordered the Galbi 2X, couple of soups, forgot the names but they were very good. We had another food item which was good as well. Bottoms line it's very good.

Only Chinese restaurant in the Bicycle Casino. Price is outrageous but will have to settle for that while I play poker.

After some gambling, we were quite hungry so we came here for some late midnight snack. There was still people bustling in and out so that was a good sign. I ordered the bbq pork noodle and soup ($9). My bf got the roast duck and rice ($12) and my friend got the Hainan chicken ($11). The noodle soup was pretty good. The soup was a bit plain but the bbq pork was very flavorful that it made up for the plain soup. They gave a lot of noodles but they were stuck together so it was hard to eat in smaller bites. I wish they cooked the noodles a bit longer so they weren't sticking together. But it was still pretty good! The roast duck and rice was super good! It was super flavorful and they didn't skimp out on the meat either. A little bit on the oily side but what's roasted duck with no oil? Yum! My friend got the Hainan chicken and it tasted pretty good too! It was cooked perfectly! My friend really enjoyed the dish. The green onion sauce that it came with was bomb! All of the dishes were pretty filling for us. We had doubts about this place because it's located inside the casino and it was more of a food on the go kind of place. But we were really surprised that the food was actually pretty good!

The food is ok for being open late in a casino. The food are not very flavorful but it was alright for me. Could be definitely better but it's ok. Plus, it was one of the few that was open late in the area. The menu is limited due to COVID so check their website first.

ATTN: This is inside the Bicycle Casino! I made the mistake of not reading the reviews (although I did not see anyone commenting that this restaurant was inside the casino) and decided to just head over. This place is a cafeteria style establishment inside the casino. I wouldn't say it's great for kids but I guess great for big parties? You decide. The rating I'm giving is towards the food. Food-wise, it's okay. The price is fair for those who are gambling and need to buy food. Fried rice is fried rice - you get what you pay for. Their soup is good, but only good enough to fulfill your hunger. I'm lightweight embarrassed that my boyfriend and I made the trip all the way out here because we got so excited knowing it's Phoenix Cafe, lol. Only to find out, it was not what we had expected. I give the service 5 stars though, because the cashier and food runner was very polite and friendly. Thanks for not laughing at how confused we were dining in

The food is OK, but you have to bring your ID because it's a casino and the restaurant is inside the casino. and also you don't need pay tip here

Food is a bit off. This is inside the casino, so its understandable. They have a huge menu, with all kind of stuff. My go to dish is roast duck noodle soup.

They have the worse service ever ! Worse customer service! Pretty much all the lady at the counter need to go . Terrible terrible terrible!!!! It should be zero star

Ive been working here for a month, so I've gotten half the menu now. The food is good and the price is decent. They have duck which lots of places don't have. The chicken has been good in the 4 different dishes I've tried, the people I've been sharing a room with love it and eat here 4 times a week. It's open later then most places in the area, so a great choice for a late night meal.

Started new job nearby and decided to eat here. Wow was I surprised. The food is legit. Cafe is next to an Asian gaming area so most players are from China or Asian from US. They intentionally made this cafe have good tasting Asian food to cater to the international patrons. Seems like bicycle casino did a good job or hiring a good chef to cater to its players. I'll be coming back for a long time to try different items. I had the beef brisket Hong Kong noodles, very good and under $10, awesome ! Came back against for crispy noodles, this place further reinforce its legit.

Some of the BEST Asian food in the area WITH awesome prices and large portions that won't break the bank. I love love love their Singaporean noodles(7$) as well as their crispy Hong Kong noodles(10$). Actually pretty much everything

Great HK style Chinese food open for takeout through the pandemic. Service is smart and fast. The desserts are authentic and favorite dish are the string beans, chicken soup and braised pork on rice.

It's totally fine for what it is. We came here for some late midnight Chinese noodles and they have it. They stay open really late and very few places are open this late. Parking lot is huge.

5 stars is based on the only thing I get which is the bi him bap. It's really good. It's a small walk to get in because this is located inside the casino but it's honestly worth it. I literally just drop by for the food and completely ignore the casino. Ordered this over 10 times now.

The teas and boba are really good here. The food is probably the best chinese food in the area.
