Phong Nha Lake House Resort

We are an Aussie family of four - 2 adults, 2 kids. The Lake House Resort in Phong Nha was the perfect base for our three days in this beautiful area. It is located a fair way out of the main township, which was perfect for us as we were looking for complete peace and calm. We had breakfast included which was fantastic, and ate both of our dinners at the hotel during our stay here - food was awesome and well priced for a hotel. We had two West Lake Villas side-by-side, one with a king bed and one with a double plus a large single. Beautiful traditional Vietnamese architecture, combined with modern cosy twists. Super, super comfy beds with gorgeous canopies over the top, super clean, huge bathrooms and the added bonus of an outdoor bath and shower as well! Sensational air conditioning, and private balconies right on the lake - which was just the most spectacular setting. Very private, quiet and peaceful. The resort offers free kayaking and swimming on the lake, plus two pools. We really wish we had booked another full day here, just to enjoy swimming and kayaking. Highly recommend.

We stayed in a lakeside villa which was spacious well-appointed and full of ecofriendly charm. The entire resort is beautiful, serene, relaxing. Booked a half-day countryside bike tour with Inh, one of their staff, and had an amazing ride through rice paddies and vegetable fields and villages. Stopped at a family farm/home and saw how they live 100% off the land. A genuine cultural experience away from touristy happenings while enjoying the rich countryside. Inh is a very knowledgeable and accommodating guide and explained everything about the way of life in the remote countryside. We also booked a half day tour to the Phong Nha caves with Sarah, another staff member, and she was equally as informative and experienced. Both tours were our reason for going to Phong Nha and we feel very lucky to have found the best place to stay with the best guides we could ask for. Highly recommend the resort and the tours. Spacious property with lovely surroundings and set on a lake. Rooms are large and comfortable. Staff are friendly. Restaurant has a good menu with lots of options. Restaurant staff were a bit hit and miss with serving you but were always friendly.|8 of us had spa treatments. 7 people enjoyed their treatement - unfortunately I think I had someone who was filling in, a trainee or had never massaged before which was pretty disapponting. |Overall this was a lovely place to stay, with good access to outdoor activities.

Loved this place. Bungalows were spacious and well appointed. Relaxing lakeside views. Extremely good restaurant with a vast range to choose from. Best of all were the staff who were all smiles, friendly and looked genuinely happy to be there. Update: 2nd trip and just as good

Lovely people, spontaneous, friendly and interested. We had diner two times and it was great. The bungalow was great and clean. |When you go there ask for the Vietnamese Irish coffee from Holland 😉. Very very nice after you’re diner like a small dessert.

The infrastructure is a bit dated but fully furnished. The view is amazing though, especially from the water-leveled bungalows.

The room and view is beautiful but the restaurant is awful. The food is very expensive and tastes low quality. When I was checking out I had told them I needed to pay my bill and they had no idea what I was talking about. It took them forever to find it. I almost missed my train waiting for them to figure it out. Would never stay here again.

we love this place the most beautiful view , and the room are super clean and beautiful, staffs are friendly, great food we love it all . We met the owner ms thắm she is a very friendly and helpful person . We will come back again and will telling all our friends to come here . Recommend if you ever go to Đồng Hới please come to visit phong nha lake house 😘😘😘
