My favorite store ever. I passionately tell everyone to come here almost daily. Nicest people. Best service. Always a pleasure to visit. So happy for this business/family. I go out of my way to shop and develop here. I suggest you do the same.

Truly the best. Quick turn around and great service. I always ask them a crazy amount of weird questions when I come in knowing they may not have the answers (not necessarily related to film development etc) but they are so kind and helpful every time. I really appreciate them.

I was researching spots in NYC to develop disposable camera film and Photo Life came up so I thought I’d give them a try. Not only is the turnaround time insanely fast, the prices are unbeatable too! I have not had issues with quality either. Definitely the spot to go to if you’re trying to get your disposable camera developed quickly in a pinch!

Friendly staff and quick turnaround, but my negatives came back with colour crossover and very prevalent scratches throughout the roll. It seems like their processor racks aren’t being adequately cleaned and their chemicals aren’t being properly replenished. They’re reasonably priced and I really appreciated the person at the counter getting my roll done quickly, but I’m quite disappointed with the result.

They keep the prices low and keep the people happy! Dropped off five rolls of 120 film from my trip this morning and by 8p they had all of them emailed to me I was shocked but couldn't be happier, thank you Photo Life!

Been loyal to Photo Life for over a year now. Best price, speed of service, AND best pixel-count among comparable labs for most of my needs. So lucky to have them nearby.

Hands down my favorite photo lab! I live in Savannah, GA, and save up my film so that I can mail it in. Incredibly fast turnaround time, great prices, and a very kind and attentive staff. Photo Life is the one and only lab I use and recommend.

This is the best film shop I've been to in NYC - they're so good and convenient that I've stopped developing my film at home and just take it to them now. They have the best prices for development and scanning and their turnaround time is amazing. Today I dropped off a roll for development and had the scans emailed to me an hour later. Additionally, the store is family run and they're always friendly and helpful. I really can't recommend this store enough. All of the attached photos are scans from them. I have a dedicated 35mm film scanner, but since discovering Photo Life I rarely scan my film myself anymore because their scans are so good. Pay attention to the lighting, in particular - a lot of photo labs will blow out the shadows in low light shots, resulting in grainy, messy, and tinted scans that look awful, but the scans I get back from Photo Life preserve blacks and shadows even on rolls where the dynamic range varies wildly. Seriously, check them out because they're truly a hidden gem.
