This is a beautiful building, a free and open to the public, or photographers can access a vast repository of photography books in the library, and also view fantastic photography in the galleries. It is quiet, peaceful, even serene. I stopped here a number of times during our recent Oaxaca visit, to rest my feet and enjoy images from hundreds of preeminent photographers, in the company of other photography of like-minded folks. Every city should have a great photography library like this!

Typically there are 2 pretty extensive exhibits that are updated frequently. Work is always high quality. We pop in whenever we pass by to see what’s new. They also have a large library of photography books and a small gift shop/tienda.

Absolutely delightful. This is a wonderful small museum and place of contemplation. There are galleries dedicated to the photography of Manuel Alvaro Bravo - his project was to document local residents and festivities. There is a beautiful courtyard, and other galleries that are used for a contemporary exhibit

This small site is beautiful and the exhibits are tastefully displayed. Unfortunately, there are currently no photos by Alvarez Bravo. Still, it's worth a quick tour.

Lovely architecture. This is where the photographer used to live.

Set in a wonderful colonial building the exhibit we saw was wonderful. Exploring the tragedies of the Guatemalan uprising of the 80s. This is a free museum with rotating exhibits. Best to think that every visit to a museum in Oaxaca is a also a visit to wonderful residences or churches you would normally not get to visit.

The place is very nice and has good expositions nevertheless it lacks in good illumination of the artwork with sometimes makes it difficult to appreciate each piece. Aside from they it has a nice view and offers diverse workshops.

I knew this place because of an exposition of ajolotes, now came back and I saw an exposition about the last 20 years of an atelier of death's day. I was amazing and hope you can go, it is free and you can give tips for support the place.
