We'll, what a little gem, set in a quiet side street, hidden by its wooden doors to the front residents area that leads to courtyard reception with very helpful and friendly staff. Hotel I believe has 30 rooms. Courtyard meeting area to sit, chat, eat and relax with a lovely little cafe for breakfast, snacks, teas and coffees. Step back in time with it's decor, hand decorated rooms as it you would find in early years. Washing/drying machines on site. Communial Mini Bar where you can store your drinks etc in the fridge. Just write your room number on the items. We had a double room with ensuite,| air con, ceiling fan and small balcony overlooking the courtyard. Daily room service.|Ideally situated for a short walk to the river side, various bus routes stop here too. 7/11 on corner plus street hawkers selling food drinks etc. 15 minutes walk to the local pier for hop on hop off river boat service which was good value for the day. Airport was £12.23 from hotel using Grab, plus tolls if you go via the highway which is 10 minutes quicker. If visiting the Emerald Buddha temple, legs and shoulders must be covered. Little stall opposite exit hires trousers and wraps for 50bht. For us, Old Bangkok has more to offer with more traditional things to find along with this lovely traditional hotel.

I have been staying in this lovely hotel for 4 nights and could stay even longer if I only had more time in Bangkok. It is very simple but super clean and cute. Good value for the money. The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and kind. There is a cafe downstairs with good coffee and breakfast and lunch offers for a good price. The location is perfect, it is a quite side street, possible to walk to the city centre in an hour or 15 minutes walk to the pier where you can catch a boat. Highly recommend this hotel for solo travels and people that like calm rest.

This place was our entree to an extended Southeast Asia trip and it was a lovely sanctuary in busy Bangkok. The staff were lovely, kind, and accommodating. The rooms were large, quirky, and comfortable. We enjoyed the breakfast offerings - my son ate the Thai omelet, shrimp, & rice meal every day for breakfast. The courtyard is a nice place to recharge.

I have been here several times to pick up my tourists so no comment on the room. The hotel staff is at good hospitality. Cozy and comfy vibes like home in the lobby area. Smell yummy bread or bakery. Lots of antique collection which make me think of those old days. The toilet is available and clean. Quite well located, not far from the historical places, Khaosan road, and local street foods while you can have a good sleep in a calm area.

This little gem 💎 is worth seeing. If you love the arts then you will love this hotel. Every step, something will grab your eyes 👁️ 👁️! Retro/boho, I feel like Ryan Murphy designed this beauty.||You are also 15-30 from EVERTHING. Flower market, Wat Arun, Lumphini Park, Piers (Boat Pickup), Chinatown, Old-town and even Muay Thai gyms. It’s also nice they have a little food mart going on half a block away. Even with all that action, it’s still a very quit hotel at night. You don’t even feel like you’re in the city. ||Last but not least, a great little cafe for breakfast or lunch. ||Anyways, loved the staff, loved the hotel, definitely coming back! 🙌🏽🙏😊🫶🇹🇭💎

Quite a magical place. The hotel has a very unique design, which was carried out down to the last detail. The design theme is something like the 1950's in America, and the hotel and rooms are full of wall paintings and items to fit this atmosphere. Somehow the atmosphere of the hotel made me start reading after 1.5 months of travel.

We stayed in Phranakorn-Nornlen Hotel from the 27th of march until the 5th of april. We had a wonderful stay. The staff is awesome ! The hotel is beautiful and very quiet. The room was great (garden view). The location is great (10 minutes walk to Thewet Pier and 15 minutes walk from Rajadamnern Stadium). We will definitely book there again for our next trip to Bangkok !

The room was basic, but the whole hotel was full of character and interesting things and staff were extremely helpful. Appreciated the room ceiling fans and filtered water in shared kitchen space. There was lovely breakfast on offer but we didn’t book this and were happy to get coffee from the great little coffee shop at the hotel’s front gate and buy fresh fruit each morning from a street seller across from the nearby 7/11. The location was great, so much to do and see, and good boat and bus access. Some good street food nearby and walking distance to Nang Loeng market which is a great local lunch spot. Apart from those at the hotel, not many tourists until you head towards Khao San Rd, about 20 mins walk. The bed and pillows were a bit hard and mornings were a bit noisy with loud birds and drums from the nearby school. Would recommend if you’re looking for a basic room full of character in a great location.
