Lost somewhere in the north of Thailand, this hotel immediately creates a unique atmosphere. Yes, it's old, but that only adds to its charm. It feels like a place forgotten by time, yet still alive in its own way. The location is incredibly secluded, with almost no people around, making it perfect for those seeking peace and solitude. There are excellent trekking trails, about 4–5 km long, leading to small tea plantations. However, if you don't have a car, be aware that there are no shops nearby, so you'll be somewhat limited. But if you're looking for a complete escape from civilization, this is more of a benefit than a drawback. The hotel has a nice restaurant serving traditional northern Thai cuisine. The atmosphere is especially magical in the evening when the lights come on. The design blends natural elements with charming details, creating a cozy and harmonious vibe. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into decorating the rooms—every little detail feels carefully chosen with love and attention. The only downside was a loud party nearby at midnight, which made it hard to sleep, though luckily, it happened only once. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. This place is perfect for those looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle, immerse themselves in nature, and embrace a slower, more peaceful rhythm of life.

From a sneaky nap in the most comfortable day bed ever ,drifting off to the sound of nature to the most amazing bath with the most scented amenities I have ever found with piping hot water and superb water pressure , you won’t be left wanting , the rooms superb , bed soft , air-con cold and the vibe just right From arrival to departure this was the night we needed. Dined in , who wouldn’t ,local food was insanely good and the chef should be proud and perfectly priced . I’m not easily pleased but I was pleasantly surprised , in fact beyond my expectations . An old dame well worth a visit , we will be back and can’t wait to watch the transformation once the rain stops .

This place is a must-visit. We have been here twice and both times were bowled over. The rooms all have a stunning mountain view and are lovely and rustic. Bathrooms are huge and if you need amenities such as as a fridge, all you have to do is ask.|The surroundings are lush and massive and breakfast is great.|We had a car and drove to the Royal Villa and Botanic Gardens easily which was amazing.|Staff are lovely and the honey handwash in the bathroom is out of this world. I bought 2 bottles.|Will definitely return.

Warm welcome by staff and excellent service by all staff. Upgraded to very spacious rooms for both our rooms. Lovely bamboo interior with stunning views. Beautiful balcony attached to room to have morning coffee and listen to birds. Very chilled and relaxing

The hotel is quite outdated, and the facilities are in urgent need of improvement. Upon arrival, we were pleased with a complimentary upgrade to a Pool Villa. However, the room facilities fell short of our expectations. The staff did not explain the room features, one of the access cards did not work, the outdoor bathtub was dirty, and the shower had extremely low water pressure. Additionally, we encountered numerous geckos, ants, and their remains in the room. The most alarming issue was discovering mouse droppings in the room the next morning, which prompted us to check out immediately.||While we understand the hotel’s proximity to nature, we strongly believe better management and maintenance can mitigate these issues. On a positive note, we appreciated the helpful and attentive service from the staff during our stay. However, significant improvements to the hotel and its facilities are necessary to provide a more comfortable experience for guests.

The place is breath-takingly beautiful with great views of sunrise. Many little corners to explore - where we can sit and chat with friends or loved ones, surrounded by nature. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The staff, helpful and friendly. If you love hiking, lots of hiking trails to explore. Also a great place for a yoga retreat. ||Loved the place. Will be back.

The gardens in the resort are amazing and so well kept. Koi pond and view out over the mountains are just magical. Night time is so quiet, being away from everything.|The pool was quite cold but we enjoyed the amazing views and tranquillity of the space.|We were in a large family room, lots of space with kids in their own bedroom/bathroom, a living room and main bedroom/bathroom as well as balcony. The beds were so comfortable, beautiful sheets, all clean.|The breakfast was amazing, lots of Thai food, adequate western food and the views from the restaurant are just amazing.|We ate at the restaurant and on three separate occasions, food/drink items were missing from our orders. Could be something to be attended to.|Staff we encountered were all friendly and helpful, able to understand our requests.

Direction signs for the resort are not well-prepared. Instead, follow the road to Katiliya Resort. When I first checked in, there were no people at the reception, so I had to find an employee. I asked the resort when I was making my reservation because breakfast was not included. The resort answered breakfast is included, but I had to pay for breakfast separately when I arrived and checked in. There were no bugs in the room, and there were no refrigerators too. The swimming pool was under construction too. The restaurant in the resort was not good, I recommend you to go out and eat. But the breakfast was quite satisfying.
