I recently stayed at Phu Chaisai and completely fell in love with the place 💚✨ From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel so welcomed — their kindness and attention to detail were truly heartwarming. Dinner was absolutely delicious! Both the savory dishes and desserts put a smile on my face 😋 The room was spacious, spotless, and came with such a beautiful view that it instantly made me feel lighter and calmer. The whole resort is peaceful and surrounded by nature, yet still has everything you need for a super comfortable stay. It was one of those trips that truly felt like a gentle reset, and I’d love for others to experience it too. ♡

SHANGRI-LA! I was astounded when I first saw the stunning mountain view from the back porch of my room, and it only got better from there! This resort gifted me with a sense of utter peace and tranquility. Breakfast in the open-air gazebo was a highlight, and the staff's kindness and helpfulness was unforgettable. But the real magic happened on the hiking trails - exploring the jungle on the resort's private paths was a very special adventure. My partner and I stayed at Phu Chaisai in Mae Chan for ten days in November 2025. We were traveling independently with our own car and were seeking a peaceful place connected to nature. What we found at Phu Chaisai was far more than a hotel— it was a heartfelt and memorable experience. The resort’s design immediately impressed us. Built in a traditional Northern Thai style, it blends naturally with the landscape and feels authentic rather than polished or staged. The entire atmosphere invites you to slow down and truly relax. The gardens are exceptional. Lush, diverse, and lovingly arranged, they resemble a botanical garden in their richness. Everywhere you walk, you find new plants, flowers, and thoughtful details. It is clear that great expertise and passion went into shaping this environment, making it a paradise for nature lovers. We stayed in the White Villa with a private pool, which offered privacy, comfort, and beautiful views of the surrounding hills. Whether in the morning mist or late afternoon light, the setting felt peaceful and almost magical. Yet the most remarkable aspect of Phu Chaisai is its staff. Their warmth, sincerity, and genuine kindness made our stay unforgettable. Their smiles were heartfelt, and every interaction felt honest and caring. The atmosphere they create is friendly without being overly familiar— a perfect balance that made us feel truly at home. We often felt as though we were staying with friends rather than at a resort. The restaurant by the koi pond was another highlight. The menu already offers many excellent Thai and international dishes, all prepared with great skill. But our most treasured experience came from Executive Chef Gae. After a few days, she gently asked whether we would like to try dishes from the Akha culture, her own heritage. The meals she prepared were unique, full of character, and deeply delicious. Through these dishes and the many conversations we shared with her and other staff members, we learned about the Akha people—their traditions, stories, and values. This cultural insight was an unexpected gift and enriched our stay immensely. We left Phu Chaisai with full hearts, grateful for the beauty, the kindness, and the many meaningful moments. We already look forward to returning.

My wife and I stopped here on our 2 week honeymoon, stayed for 2 magical nights in the “Love Nest” room. Wow, was it fantastic. The views and entire resort were enchanting. By far one of the best places we’ve ever stayed. Restaurant and breakfast were great. Sunset from the terrace is not to be missed.

The hotel is not well maintained. Don't let the pictures fool you. We had the suite w/pool. Pictures show a nice crystal clear pool, it was green due to not being cleaned. The room itself was not sealed to the elements, with cracks in windows, doors, etc. the bugs were quite happy to share our space. Finally, get ready to know your partner no doors to bathroom/ shower. Just stained curtains. The whole place is just super dated. Get ready to see piles of trash, random material from who knows what laying around the site. Lastly, the service was missing. I went to get a massage, turns out no spa, but also couldn't find staff. Went to the bar counter, no staff. Went to the front desk, no staff. It was this constant where is everyone.

Phu Chasai Mountain Resort is really off the beaten track. It is in a location high in the hills. The rooms are enjoyable provided you like slightly rustic. There are flowers everywhere and a very relaxing small pool. It is a rare nature resort.

Lost somewhere in the north of Thailand, this hotel immediately creates a unique atmosphere. Yes, it's old, but that only adds to its charm. It feels like a place forgotten by time, yet still alive in its own way. The location is incredibly secluded, with almost no people around, making it perfect for those seeking peace and solitude. There are excellent trekking trails, about 4–5 km long, leading to small tea plantations. However, if you don't have a car, be aware that there are no shops nearby, so you'll be somewhat limited. But if you're looking for a complete escape from civilization, this is more of a benefit than a drawback. The hotel has a nice restaurant serving traditional northern Thai cuisine. The atmosphere is especially magical in the evening when the lights come on. The design blends natural elements with charming details, creating a cozy and harmonious vibe. It’s clear that a lot of thought went into decorating the rooms—every little detail feels carefully chosen with love and attention. The only downside was a loud party nearby at midnight, which made it hard to sleep, though luckily, it happened only once. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. This place is perfect for those looking to disconnect from the hustle and bustle, immerse themselves in nature, and embrace a slower, more peaceful rhythm of life.
