Excellent Experience at Phu Quốc International Airport Phu Quốc International Airport exceeded my expectations and made traveling to and from the island a breeze. The airport is modern, clean, and well-organized, offering a smooth and efficient experience from check-in to boarding. Despite being smaller than major international airports, it has all the necessary amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. The staff were professional, friendly, and helpful throughout the entire process. Immigration and security procedures were quick and straightforward, with minimal wait times. The terminal is air-conditioned, with clean restrooms and comfortable seating areas, which made waiting for my flight much more pleasant. There are several shops and cafes offering local products, snacks, and souvenirs at reasonable prices. I especially enjoyed grabbing

Relatively small but clean and fast-moving airport. The toilets are clean, the attendants are polite. There are souvenir shops to buy last-minute things. Buy necessary food and drinks immediately after security check, as even water can cost 4 times more at the gate.

Phu Quoc International Airport (PQC) offers a streamlined and efficient experience for domestic arrivals, catering to travelers seeking a hassle-free entry to the island. Here’s an overview of what you can expect upon arrival: ⸻ 🛬 Domestic Arrival Experience 1. Disembarkation and Terminal Entry: Upon landing, passengers are guided from the aircraft to the terminal via covered walkways or shuttle buses, depending on the parking position. 2. Baggage Claim: The baggage claim area is well-organized, with luggage typically arriving within 10–15 minutes. Clear signage and helpful staff assist in ensuring a smooth process. 3. Customs and Exit: For domestic flights, customs procedures are minimal. After collecting luggage, travelers can proceed directly to the exit, where various transportation options are available. ⸻ 🧳 Facilities and Amenities • Cleanliness and Maintenance: The terminal is noted for its cleanliness and modern facilities, providing a comfortable environment for travelers. • CIP Lounge: For those seeking additional comfort, the domestic terminal houses a CIP lounge offering snacks, Wi-Fi, flight monitors, newspapers, magazines, TVs, and a smoking area. • Dining and Shopping: While options are somewhat limited, there are food stalls and shops available. However, prices may be higher compared to the city. ⸻ 🚖 Transportation Options Exiting the terminal, travelers have access to various transportation methods: • Taxis: Fixed-price taxi counters are available inside the terminal. Popular companies include Mai Linh and Vinasun, with fares to Duong Dong town averaging between 150,000 – 250,000 VND. • Ride-Hailing Apps: Services like Grab are operational, offering a convenient alternative to traditional taxis. • Private Transfers: Pre-booked private car services provide a personalized experience, often including amenities like air conditioning and Wi-Fi. ⸻ ⚠️ Areas for Improvement • Wi-Fi Connectivity: Some travelers have reported limited or non-existent Wi-Fi access within the terminal. • Seating and Charging Stations: There is a noted scarcity of comfortable seating and charging points for electronic devices. ⸻ ✅ Final Thoughts Phu Quoc International Airport’s domestic arrival process is generally efficient and traveler-friendly. While there are areas that could benefit from enhancements, such as Wi-Fi connectivity and seating availability, the overall experience is positive, providing a smooth transition for visitors eager to explore the island. It's an airport. Barely any places to eat, overpriced duty free and items in shops. It does the job but it is nothing special. But the security and customs was somewhat fast. Also no wifi nor effective air conditioning. If you are looking to get something to eat you could go to burger king...oh wait if you are flying internationally, you can't eat there because it is on the DOMESTIC side (you could still see and smell it though). The one cool thing about the airport is you can do some bird spotting INSIDE the terminal. Overall it is an airport, it has aircraft it does the job, and there is worse airports out there. FYI, beer is available. And to top it all off we experienced a power failure when we were here (this was probably a island wide problem).

Wasn’t impressed by this airport. They offer no Wi-Fi inside the airport which is needed by all travelers. There are restaurants with free Wi-Fi though but usually you have to order something. Lots of chaos and unorganized staff. The cleaning lady came into the bathroom while men including myself were using the urinals. This airport is too small for the capacity of travelers. Loved the island but not the airport.

First of all the lady in Vietjet Air didn't knew that I can travel in Thailand without return ticket. Even when I show and explain her my visa type she make me wait to ask her supervisor. So I wait 10 min for nothing. The biggest disappointment was the Heineken bar & Kitchen I don't know if all the shops here have the same policy but this one have. The prices are in DOLLARS?????? WHY? BECAUSE ARE A JOKE. Because they shy to put the prices in dong. So... In this small stupid airport the price of a stupid cold coffee is about 220.000 dong..... YES IT IS..... in Bangkok international airport the blend cold coffee with caramel that is the most expensive is 170 bath. Airport price. Here are more than DOUBLE????. Also because I didn't look all the airport.... after under are many others so some are coffee shops maybe and maybe betters. And 1 friend just inform me that he fall in in the same trap. He bought a water here 75.000 and after inside the price was 25.000. So all people as me the can not think that after the main airport when going to the gates have more shops and sitting here.... So maybe this is in perpose. And the biggest scam thinking is that show DIFFERENT SPOT IN GOOGLE MAP. SO NO. IT IS THE FIRST. After are the gates. So everybody believes that after no have more. AND EVERYONE SIT HERE. Now I speak with a friend and tell me that agter the prices are better..... So this is a scam. Maybe controlled from the airport. SO NOBODY SIT HERE. Go inside. And the dot in Google is not TRUE. YHIS SHOP IS THE FIRST ONE IN A PLACE THAT ALL PEOPLE BELIEVE THAT IS THE ONLY ONE. YHE CONCLUSIONS ARE YOURS

• This is an international airport, but it lacks proper ventilation, the air feels stuffy and uncomfortable. • I don’t quite understand why certain services charge in USD, especially when the local currency is VND. It creates confusion for travelers.
