I loved how quintessentially Balkan this place was. It’s right at the heart of the city, next to the fountain, the tables are densely situated and are facing the street so you’re able to people watch all you want. I loved it! I think it has several levels, but we were able to find a table outside every morning. Service is really fast and I would recommend it for breakfast or afternoon coffee for sure!

All the varieties sounded delicious, and we tried four different kinds—each one was absolutely tasty.
The atmosphere is great as well. We chose to sit upstairs in the air-conditioned room, but there’s also the option to sit outside or on the terrace, depending on your preference.

Tasty and simple bougatsa, fresh ingredients. Nothing special with cheese option, creamy is the original one IMO. We tried cheese with honey and cinnamon version additionally, not a signature dish for sure. Quite reasonable prices though.

If you are craving for fresh authentic Greek food and warm welcoming service then you cannot miss this place. The staff are so warm and welcoming that you will feel like home. We tried various pastries with different types of authentic cheese and crème. The coffee was also amazing?

Wonderful place in the heart of the old town to get coffee drinks and lots of varieties of bougatsa! Absolutely delicious, especially the house invention, with soft myzithra cheese. Speedy service and super nice, even when busy.

I'd say their food is strictly OK but their service was great and the ambience was great too. We were here for a breakfast and the place was almost full. It has a great view of the fountain and the staff is friendly. I'd recommend going there any time of the day as its buzzing all times of the day and is central to the old city.

Unique view to the monuments of the city center, especially from its balcony. Historic place. Many traditional sweets from Greece and Asia Minor. Most famous for its "Bougatsa".
I love to go there every time I visit Heraklion. Unfortunately mistakes in the bill happen often..

One of the most amazing dining experiences I’ve ever had! We were a large group that filtered in little by little, and they graciously accommodated us with each chair and order needed. We shared a variety of bougatsas and loukoumades (which were my personal favorite…like beignets!). Excellent service, hospitality, and food!
