We popped into the restaurant for lunch and noticed it was all locals which is always a good sign. ||||My husband ordered the smoked tuna soup for $4.50 that came with rice and plantains. He said it was the best fish soup he's had in his life so that's saying a lot. ||||My son ordered the curry chicken with rice and plantains for $5.75 and loved it. Both dishes were on the specials menu. ||||I wasn't very hungry so I got a strawberry shake that was delicious and made with real, fresh strawberries. ||||This little restaurant is a gem. If you find yourself in Las Tablas, Panama, pop on in. You'll be nicely surprised.

The restaurant is very good, but their delivery service (offered through PedidosYa) is very poor to say the least. For some unknown reason, orders which usually take 45-60 minutes frequently end taking up to 120 minutes.

This is one of the nicest hotels we stayed in during our trip through Panama in this price range ($33). We looked at the rooms first and chose one that had a small window (many don't have windows so check first!). The internet was good, bed was new and cozy, internet was reliable, loved the AC. The hotel was nice and quiet.||||If you're really on a budget, this hotel has rooms right across the street that are smaller and have no AC ($26). We looked at them and decided the space and AC was worth paying extra for.||The location was really convenient too. A block from a supermarket, and a block from the central square. A couple blocks to the bus area. ||||Leave your key at the front desk if you want them to clean your room.||||There is a restaurant just down the street called "Los Portales" which seems to be open for lunch only - go there! Local women run the place, and they are really talented. There's no real menu - we just asked for "Pescado" (fish) and they brought us a meal. First fresh lemonade, then yummy soup, then a plate of fish, coleslaw and rice and beans. All for $4.50 per person.

Comfortable. Quiet. Clean. Simple. Affordable. Near the centre square. Nice little town. Can walk to shops, etc. Trip Advisor needs to change the flag. It's about 2 blocks away and on a different street. That was frustrating in 30 degrees!

I stayed here twice in a ten day period, first at the annex across the street and then in the main building. The rooms were basic but clean and bright. The air-conditioning worked very well. The bathrooms were spotless. No hot water in the shower either time, although one side was clearly somewhat warmer than the other. Both times I was in the back of the building, away from street noise, and slept very well. The annex has a small second-floor balcony overlooking the street. It's a pleasant place to sit after dark when the heat has decreased.

This has been the worst experience of my life in a hotel. Not that I am overly picky and knew the accommodations would be very basic but....||Staff could not get internet to work in yhe property across the street where we were staying and did not care. Made my stay impossible to get work done costing me thousands in unproductive time. ||The room had smeared stuff on the walls. It was disgusting. No excuse for these conditions. Water would come on and then go off four hours. No notice. Mold and mildew everywhere in the bathroom. ||TripAdvisor you should have this property blacklisted and recommend people not stay here. ||Do not stay here. There is a new hotel that I hear is really nice. The Presidente. We will stay there next trip.

...so we did not want to make the trip over the mountain to Tonosi - we needed a room at the last minute. We asked a young man on the square who directed us to Hotel Piamonte, about two blocks off the square. We chose a queen bed room, second floor, on the street front. Flat screen TV, good A/C, good WiFi, tub/shower with plenty of hot water. Some street noise but not objectionable. It was about $55. The restaurant next door served reasonably priced local fare. We would definitely stay there again.

Went to Las Tablas for the new year celebrations and to see the parade of the queens. Great location resulting in a long night out. Just a 2 minute walk from the town square so very convenient. Food is great as well. A must visit and stay over if visiting Los Santos.
