Very friendly staff and the hotel has a nice garden facing greeneries. Room was clean and spacious, although the bathroom was very simple. No internet in the room but in the lobby and garden. There seems to only be one socket in the room, so having a adapter with multiple outputs is convenient to bring to be able to charge multiple devices at the same time. Room was facing the garden but it was rather noisy nevertheless: Everyone passing by can be heard and a lot of roosters are around in the neighborhood which started to crow already at 4 in the morning and won't stop for hours. Otherwise, pleasant stay.

We based ourselves here for a week in Toragaland and what a great choice it was. Very friendly staff, good rooms, excellent eating areas where you can sit out. A couple of minor points - no aircon which wasn't an issues but it would have been good to have a fan. The food is excellent - try the chicken Pa'piong cooked in bamboo. Best chicken we've ever had. All done fresh so best to let them know what time you ant to eat in advance.

After reading some previous guests’ comments, I was still unsure what to expect from our three night stay when we arrived.||Overall, it was an extremely positive experience. It’s a unique, very atmospheric property in the middle of town. The staff were nice and the food was tasty. The gardens are lovely to relax in with a beer after a long day exploring.||Now for the ‘buts’:|- Wi-Fi only works in the reception area.|- Food takes a long time to arrive. Not great if others are ordering at a similar time. To get around this, the hack is to pre-order in advance and tell them what time you want it.|- Our toilet broke twice. Quickly fixed but still inconvenient. |- Although the temperature drops a bit overnight, it’s still far too hot in a room without AC or a fan. No conducive to a good night’s sleep.|- It seems the biggest complaint, the lack of hot water, is indeed an issue. Out of six showers, two were warm (but not hot), three cold and one lukewarm. We had to ask staff twice to sort it out.

If you like living in a Fred Flintstone type accomodation, this place is for you.. simple wood and stone decor, cold shower, WiFi in rooms only reception, no bedside lamps. Room and bathroom were clean except for a big cobweb on the light fitting. As it was not a halal establishment, we did not eat, except for breakfast -veg option Staff were pleasant and when they understood, were helpful. We had a broken hand shower pipe causing water to squirt everywhere. Told them the next morning and they promised to fix. Also told them that there is hot water… they promised to fix and when we got back from a day outing, still nothing done.. spoke to reception and she organised a handy man to come fix… swopped out hand shower and water was still cold… at best this is a backpacker type accommodation.

Food: we ate 3 times at Pia‘s Poppies and the food was always fantastic! We can especially recommend the rendang, spaghetti bolognaise, pia‘s favorite soup. The food took a long time because they prepare everything freshly, so order before you get really hungry. Room: the room was very clean and spacious. There was no warm water in the shower.

Great, kind and helpful staff. Spacious, rooms (some with a great view!). The kitchen is great and fast and location close to whatever you might need (including coffee roasting place). Great price/quality ratio. PS. There is no aircon but that is not a problem as the temperature regulates itself through the top windows. In the morning there is a serenade from local rooster, pigs, dogs and more so have your earplugs with you and it’s not an issue.

22 big rooms also for single occupancy, very clean, hot water in the shower. Nice view from the balconies. Many books to choose from. Excellent restaurant with delicious recipes, order your dinner two hours in advance or better in the morning. Charming young staff. A little bit noise coming from the main road but silence from 11 pm till 5 am. Depending on who stays next to your room, slamming doors or loud voices go through thin walls. Scooter rental just beside. The bus from Makassar just stops in front.

It's a nice place, spacious rooms. Service is excellent as well as the menu. Just the bathroom was not so great. The toilet fountain was broken and the shower didn't really get warm. Still, had a really good stay here!
