It's a very cozy little town. During New Year's, it reveals a completely different side of itself. I highly recommend visiting it both in summer and winter.

Unfortunately we could not enjoy the full view due to the wine fest preparations, but without a doubt it looks like a place worth visiting. Most Iconic places are within walking distance, so for a day tour works great. to me it was interesting to see how there is a mix between history, tradition and luxury .

The oldest and the most beautiful square in Udine. Main style of the square is Venetian, since the city was a part of Venetian Republic in old times. On the square there 2 very beautiful buildings with arches - Loggia del Lionello and Loggia di San Giovanni, and also many interesting sculptures. Also, on the square there is Arco Bollani - arch which starts the way to the Udine Castle located on a hill. Nice views of the square can be seen from the entrance to the Udine Castle.

Piazza della Libertà, also known as Piazza Libertà, is the oldest square in Udine, located in the valley below the Castle of Udine. You can easily visit by walk and stop in nearby restaurants and bar for a drink or a quick bite.
