It's a very cozy little town. During New Year's, it reveals a completely different side of itself. I highly recommend visiting it both in summer and winter.

Unfortunately we could not enjoy the full view due to the wine fest preparations, but without a doubt it looks like a place worth visiting. Most Iconic places are within walking distance, so for a day tour works great. to me it was interesting to see how there is a mix between history, tradition and luxury .

The oldest and the most beautiful square in Udine. Main style of the square is Venetian, since the city was a part of Venetian Republic in old times. On the square there 2 very beautiful buildings with arches - Loggia del Lionello and Loggia di San Giovanni, and also many interesting sculptures.
Also, on the square there is Arco Bollani - arch which starts the way to the Udine Castle located on a hill.
Nice views of the square can be seen from the entrance to the Udine Castle.
