Picanteria La Mundial

Portions are HUGE if you order the double be sure to share it with someone. Flavour is great although food came within 5 minutes they probably already had it ready because they started lifting the chairs an hour before closing time. For local Arequipa food the place is great.

The friendly owner often greets guests and invites them inside to sit in the charming garden setting. This picanteriá is a favorite local lunch spot, with the occasional visiting international guest. It’s worth the walk to visit a local favorite (just, don’t be in a rush—they get busy at lunch)!

Great local place recommended by our taxi driver. Prices seemed a little higher than other areas in Peru, but quality was better and portions were bigger. Check their hours, we went for a late lunch.

The amount of food!!! Amazing flavours and very generous portions. The price was pretty good as well. I highly recommend this place if you would like to try some traditional food from the city.

Incredible huge size dishes! Given the size and quality of the food, the prices are more than reasonable. The place is enormous with many tables and gets full fast. But, the food comes out unbelievably fast, so the rotation is good. The service is highly professional and very polite. A must visit in Arequipa! Be aware, it's only afternoon late lunch service, no dinner.

Huge portions, food came out fast, great Chicha and a VERY local feel! The restaurant was huge and was completely full! Great place to get authentic peruvian cuisine!

Lovely restaurant with huge portions and both Spanish and English menu. Taste was really good. Definitely can feed 2-3 people with one dish.
