Piccolo Giardino

Nice little place with a garden perfect for a spring evening with wine or beer. I noticed it is popular since every evening the garden was full. They have daily menus and some regular snacks/meze. The burgers we had were flavourful and the beers were nice.

We enjoyed our time visiting for dinner. It's got a cool urban feel about it. They have a regular menu with smaller plates and then a daily board with different main specials. We had the spaghetti pasta which was yum.

They sell Belgian La Chouffe Beer. It was founded in 1982 by two brothers-in-law, Pierre Gobron and Christian Bauweraerts, as a hobby. In September 2006, the brewery was sold to the DUVEL MOORTGAT brewery group. DUVEL IS IN THE TOP SIX OF BELGIAN BEER and also La Chouffe is one of them. All of the top six beers in the world are brewed and created by monks. La Chouffe is the only exception of that detail. The monks are not allowed to have sex. So all of the love and admiration of nature has gone into the beer. Duvel is so high quality that I have drunk countless beers in one evening and could still complete all purpose-related tasks successfully in time the next day. I enjoy la Chouffe and notice that passion and history-of enjoying free time in an equally unique place do not just meet by chance. In wild times, the Piccolo giardino was already a place to meet extraordinary people. The groof is still great. There is always room to park motorcycles. All of this in the middle of Zurich. The food and the service is pure Switzerland. Cheers Roman

homemade basil and mango ice cream is fantastic and the prices are, too!

They have a good beer selection and show the EM. The food is usually more miss than hit and way over-priced, even for Zurich. The atmosphere is lovely, though, so are the staff.

Went to watch "Tatort" Sunday evening. Nice crowd; only the burger I can't recommend (tiny patty, wait past well-done).

Chilled vibe, delicious food, fair prices. A little gem!

This place was fun for some after dinner drinks and snacks. We were looking for a place to get a late dinner in Zurich, and after seeing this place was part of the few that were still open, decided to give it a try. The late night menu is different than the lunch menu so the burgers and other food items weren't still being offered but they did have a selection of specials and appetizers that they were serving. They were pretty good and had some good beer to go along with it. It also wasn't too expensive compared to all the other places in Zurich. Overall a good place to stop in for some late night drinks, they also had a young and lively crowd of people!

Amazing atmosphere, good food, average service. I loved the location and the set up of the place, very chilled with a nice garden seating area. The food was good- I had the burger (the portions were good), the service like almost all places in Zürich was OK, not friendly, not rude just there to do their job basically you get used to it when you realise the service level in Switzerland is just extremely low compared to other countries. All in all a place I would recommend!

A small bar in Kreis 4 Very nice atmosphere. It has a big terrace and they a a few things to eat. The burger is very good !! The staff is friendly. A nice place to hang around in summer on a sunday afternoon.

There are many things to love about the Piccolo Giardino, the terrace, the food (best home-made fries is town), its unpretentiousness, the coolness of its patrons and staff, but to me the test for a good restaurant or hangout is that people of any age are welcome and can feel at home there. This I do though I am old enough to be most patrons' grandmother. I've also made a few nice new young friends there. And it is one of the places in our neighbourhood where the sun sets last. Since many of the staff have been there for years, they know me and are very nice to me. They also guarded my dog for hours when he turned up on their terrace one afternoon. And when the person who served me heard my dog had died, I wasn't allowed to pay for my wine that day, which touched me very much. I can't wait for things to go back to a kind of normal so we can all hang out together on Piccolo's great terrace again without a worry in the world!

Great patio for a sunny day. Good selection of drinks, unpretentious clientele and friendly hipstery staff. Simple and good mediterranean food that is perfect for a summer evening (and according to the menu all sourced from local businesses including coffee from the folks at Vicafe). As someone else said, with the vespas next door and the sun set behind the tracks, one feels like on holiday. Plus they show Tatort on Sundays. Enough said.

This describes the experience of Friday night drinks: There is a small bar in the restaurant and it is a great place for drinks: very relaxed and laid-back atmosphere, pleasant, unpretentious people, friendly service. The rare combination of alternative and hipster that you do not find in Zurich very often.

Awesome place. We go there every day for lunch. Evening ambiance is really great.
