"Chicago’s preeminent destination for rustic Italian cuisine, Piccolo Sogno is also a haven for gluten-sensitive diners. More than half the menu is gluten-free or can be made without gluten upon request. Guests have options like Caprese salad, grilled octopus, gnocchi, pastas, grilled fish, and more. Pair the food with a glass of wine on the beautiful outdoor patio for a memorable experience. Carryout ordering is available here." - Samantha Nelson

"Escape the bustle of the city at Piccolo Sogno’s lush garden patio and enjoy an intimate evening filled with rustic cuisine and Italian wines. The “little dream,” the restaurant name’s translation, of Tony Priolo and Ciro Longobardo treats diners to first-rate dishes like seafood spaghetti nero, pappardelle with wild boar ragu, braised beef short ribs, and wood-fired pizzas. Carryout orders can be placed on Tock." - Ashok Selvam, Eater Staff

Was here for a rehearsal dinner a few months back and can not get over how terrible the food was. Half of the party ordered the fish, and all of them still had some scales on them. Nothing like taking a a bite of an expensive fish dinner and then picking all the scales out of your mouth as you try and chew. If you want a quality meal for that price I would go elsewhere!

You can't go wrong with anything you order from this spot. I love the ravioli as well as all the fish dishes. In addition to amazing food, the atmosphere is cozy with a lovely outdoor patio that has view fo the river.

High quality food, good selection of Italian wines and delicious desert. Don't waist your time on Americanized Magiano's Little Italy restaurant, located on the same street across Aloft Hotel.

What am I missing here? I went on to Open Table and booked a reservation for 11 a.m. The restaurant even called to confirm my 11:00 a.m. time. When I arrived, I was told the restaurant actually didn't open until 11:30, everyone was in the kitchen, and I could wait a 1/2 hour to be seated. When I asked why they called to confirm my 11:00 a.m. time when they didn't open until 11:30, hostess said she didn't know. I won't be back.

Food is way too overpriced. There are other Italian restaurants with the same quality food or even better for less than half of the cost. Service is ok and the place looks good, but prices are insanely high. Personally wouldn't recommend it and wouldn't come back.

This restaurant is off to a great start. The staff is so friendly and helpful. We had their octupus and their fish of the day. Both were so fresh and a real treat.

I love this place, great food, great service, the staff is friendly and willing to offer suggestions when asked. In the summer you can't beat the garden tables.

Pretty good food. A little dark inside - definitely a more intimate atmosphere.
