We shared a private room with 3 people. One was in the loft which is cool but make sure one person can climb the ladder! Great location comfortable beds and we always had hot water. The rooms are clean but small if you have lots of gear. There is a hostal side too with a kitchen which was easy to use just wish people before us cleaned up. Breakfast was simple but good. Reception is at the restaurant across the street.

We went to this hostal to spent a week end, and certanly our idea was no to stay to much time in the room. But the dimension of the room is incredible small, it has space for the bed (a comfortable one) but nothing else, no closet, almost not additional furniture, only some wodden division. The bathroom also very small. And you have to inform to the receptión to clean the room. For the price we paid we expected better The breakfast were just ok.

This was an awesome place to stay for a number of reasons. It is located right across the street from an awesome, beautiful beach and if you walk left along the beach, you have an incredible beach walk for as long as you want. It's 6k to get to Punta de Lobos which is completely possible. There are also free bikes included (which were not the best quality but worked) if you want to go by road. It's less than a 5-min walk in the other direction to get to the main beach, tons of surf schools, tons of food, etc. The downtown area is about a 10-min walk. The hostel itself is super cool--they were SUPER thoughtful and added a small room on the the top of EACH room that you get to by a ladder with a bed in it so you have a birds-eye view of the ocean. The rooms are also lovely and have hot water in their showers, etc. Super comfy beds. Marcel is the owner of the hostel and makes you your own breakfast every morning. He is absolutely great and will give you tons of ideas for what to do as well as discounts to a specific surf school and free entry into a night club. He is super down-to-earth and helpful. He's Dutch and speaks English and Spanish perfectly. The restaurant across the street has hammocks and a great atmosphere also. I really can't say enough. It was a wonderful stay with my partner and we had everything we needed. One note--the office for the hostel is located across the street in the restaurant Puente Holandes (where you get breakfast, etc). Thanks, Marcel and Natalia, for everything!

I would not recommend this place. All in all it was ok - the rooms are very small, but fine, if you plan to stay only for few nights. BUT: the name is misleading - it is not a hostal, also it has nothing in common with surfing. The most strange thing - in such a lovely country with so friendly people, it is somehow an ok place, but without any love … an example is the breakfast: two breads, one small package of butter and two pieces of cheese … everything ok - but there was not even milk for the coffee and the host was not interested in organizing some… better choose an other place with better vibes😉

Positives: Had a lovely stay at Pichilemu Sirf Hostal. Staff were friendly, rode around on bike that were included in room price and breakfast was great. ||Negatives: stayed on a Friday and Saturday night with noosy music both nights until early morning. Lights at the hostel were very bright and not turned off throughout the night which shone into every room and there were minimal blinds to bloke out the light.

Good things: Bed was super comfy, good location, satisfactory breakfast. Good wifi. Bikes for riding into town (although the breaks didn’t work on one of them). Friendly owners.||Bad things: |Heater didn’t work |No hot water in our room.|***Overcharged!!!!!!!*** (had to pay more than we were quoted) |No sheets on single bed on arrival |Very cramped room for three people|No facilities accessible to us (common area, kitchen, anything really)|Resturant very expensive. |

Marcel, the owner is very helpful and friendly and speaks excellent English. He can recommend the good spots for wave, wind and kitesurfing in the area. Nice breakfast with an ocean view across the the road is included in the price.

After 2 weeks of traveling we were looking for calm place at the ocean. Surf Hostal was perfect choice. Breakfast at the terrace with ocean view - unique! Empty beach, sound of waves and sunset - ideal relax. Additionally very friendly owners and people who work there!
