Absolutely stunning high end b&b - this is our second stay. The rooms are gorgeous, impossibly clean, and the beds are very comfortable. The service is exceptional - Andrea in particular is just a delight. The breakfast is always fantastic, and dinner next door at Pavilion never disappoints.

Where do we begin? This Inn is simply exquisite and amazing. Our room (#10) was just beautiful and incredibly clean and comfortable. Every staff member goes out of their way to make you happy and comfortable. We hated to leave, but already inquired about our next visit. Can’t wait to return!

This is a 5+ star property with all of the amenities, comfort and service. We came for the fall foliage which did not disappoint. We stayed in room 10, which is the nicest of the rooms: king bed, fireplace, anteroom for sitting with gorgeous views. The bathroom is luxurious with double sinks, a digital rainshower, etc. The whole inn is beautifully appoionted with attention to detail. Many cozy places to sit with porch seats and also a great fire pit. We were greeted warmly by Liz who gave us a tour and brought us to the room. All of the staff were so helpful and attentive. Barbara is a virtual encylopedia of where to go and what's going on. Breakfast every morning was delicious, alternating between sweet and savory dishes. There are coffee and tea stations with afternoon treats that were delicious. I could not recommend more highly. And, eat at The Pavilion, but that is another review...

A truly spectacular experience at the Pickering House Inn. My husband and I boked and stayed on a whim for one night on the way to pick up our boys from summer camp and had a spectacular stay. The inn has been restored beautifully with no detail overlooked. The rooms are spacious and super comfy, with more privacy than your average b&b. We dined at Pavilion - the restaurant operated by the hotel just next door - and had a wonderful meal. The major distinction here though is the staff - the warm welcome, tour, attention to detail, and willingness to go the extra mile rivals the best luxury hotels you'll find anywhere. 10/10!

Looking for a fabulous respite? Pickering House is where you’ll find comfort, service, and a beautiful location. I cannot expound enough compliments to Patty and her staff on the stay we enjoyed. From the minute we entered, until check out, we felt a sense of home. Rooms were so comfortable I copied labels of bedding to recreate in my home. A breakfast of savory & sweet abound our table with delicious local coffee. My travel companion has a service dog and Molly was more than welcome to stay on the job throughout the inn. I wish I lived closed to visit more often as Pickering House Inn is a wonderful stay and base for day trips in the Wolfeboro lake region.

The Pickering House Inn offered an exceptional experience from the moment we arrived. Liz welcomed us warmly, helping with our luggage as soon as we pulled up. Throughout our stay, thoughtful gestures like freshly baked treats each afternoon made it truly memorable. Andrea and Jennifer were always eager to hear about our daily adventures, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Breakfasts with Barbara were a delight; her culinary expertise and extensive knowledge of the area's history were impressive. I enthusiastically recommend the Pickering House Inn for its outstanding hospitality and unforgettable accommodations.

Staying at The Pickering House has all the warm comforts of home only better! It is a beautiful inn both indoors and out. The friendly, professional staff meets your every need: dining reservations, tee times , recommendations for local activities. Rooms are stylish and welcoming. We look forward to a return stay!

Yelp
The friendliest inn. Usually there's something that's sacrificed along the way with a 5 star property - and it's usually down to earth friendliness. Not here. Kind people who care about your stay. The rooms are stylish and beautiful. The restaurant next door is delicious and vibrant. And the service is top notch while maintaining a small town vibe. The location is also amazing. Can't recommend highly enough.

Yelp
You can put lipstick on a pig, it's still a pig. This is the best explanation of this venue. The renovations made look great and give it a very rustic farmhouse feel. However, while the house's decor is very warm, unfortunately the management is not. My wife and I have traveled New England, trying assorted bed and breakfasts and inns. The customer service and hospitality at this venue is by far some of the worst. My wife and I were here for a wedding when a 75-80" black wooden "antique" bifold door fell on my wife who was 9 months pregnant. The door had been placed in front of inward/outward swinging door to the kitchen, which was knocked over and struck my wife in the head. While accidents happen and I understand that, I was annoyed so I had asked to speak with the owner. I was met with an individual who appeared unwelcoming and unapologetic, that introduced himself as the owner Peter. I questioned Peter about the door and why it would be placed in front of another moving door so close to the patrons or why it wouldn't at least be anchored. He stated the door is meant to be moved and it wasn't his problem. He explained that the decor is his, but he's not accountable for where the vendors place it. Throughout my interaction with Peter, never once did he apologize or ask how my wife was. Meanwhile the vendors apologized and attempted to make efforts to reconcile the situation. The next morning, due to the unsatisfactory of the owners response, I asked if there was any way we could be comped. He said absolutely not, it's not his problem and that we had resolved it last night. Again, never asked how my wife was doing. Based off of the interaction with owner, and his response to the incident, his actions turned me off to the venue and I'd never go back.

Yelp
This is such a special place! The decor is fantastic and has a lovely vibe. We felt so pampered with luxurious toiletries, heated bathroom floors and the digital shower controls were a bonus! Every morning we couldn't wait to see the delicious breakfast that Chef Patty Roche had in store! We look forward to our next visit!

Yelp
We chose to stay at the Pickering House for a short visit to Lake Winnipisaukee. We were greeted by the friendliest innkeeper who gave us a quick tour of the beautiful inn before showing us to our room. We were so pleased to find how clean the inn was and loved the modernization of a historical house - everything down to the window blinds and the shower is electronic! The breakfasts that are prepared and served by Jerome and Ed are an absolute 5 star meal. The inn boasts a wrap around porch and firepit so you can enjoy sitting outdoors on a balmy summer evening. Moreover, the inn is within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants downtown. I would definitely recommend staying at the Pickering House on your next visit to the area - I sure know that I will. And if you do come for a visit, be sure to spend some time reading the book that takes you through the history of the house and it's renovation - it deepens your appreciation of the house tenfold.

Yelp
We recently attended one of the inn keepers suppers and will most definitely be back. My husband and I are from Boston and often get frustrated with the high prices charged for extremely mediocre food on lake W, but Pickering house inn has finally put an end to this problem. While the food is a bit more expensive than most spots, it is worth ever penny. The quality of the food, service, and atmosphere are all 10 out of 10. The customer service team are awesome and super responsive, especially Lindsey who was really accommodating to my family. This is a one of a kind very special dining experience and My only complaint is that there are not more dinners available to the public!

Yelp
The attention to detail is unequalled in the lakes region. We had the pleasure of staying one night and decided to add an additional night because we were so impressed and enjoyed our stay so much. The service, ambiance, breakfast, and creature comforts make this a must see and experience first hand!!!

Yelp
Love all of it!!!! Attended a Barn Dinner last night. Food was phenomenal, the company was fun. We will be back!
