Google
Destination Stop ! Great selection of local art, jewelry, crystals, books, clothing, garden metal works, etc. The staff is helpful and easy to find without the usual pressure to buy something, but you will 😁. They are open from 11-5 to daily. No need to try to get there early, gate opens exactly at 11am !

Google
It's been awhile since last visit. This place used to have antiques, old pawn Indian jewelry and other interesting things. Now it's all Chinese Southwest tourist stuff. Even the Indian jewelry isn't authentic. If you like the roadside tourist junk you will be happy there is a lot to choose from. My response from their response..... Thank you for your response I do understand it's your business decision and hopefully a good one. But your "authentic Indian jewelry" is not hand made by Native Artists. Most is probably sourced from the Philippines. Maybe sold to you by a Native American but personally I think any Native selling that stuff is a sell out.

Google
everyone working there was extremely kind, and it had a lot of awesome items for sale. worth it to stop in just to see the Native and Western art and jewelry. plenty of fun things for the kids as well. i love the bell we bought

Google
Great place. They have old stuff, new stuff, souvenir items, as well as high quality items. There are things for everyone and every budget. Very interesting decor inside and out.

Update Jan 27 2024. Our record of buying every time we visit is unbroken! Snagged some cutesy colorful metal yard art this afternoon. Brought friends with us who have never been. They loved it. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, incredible selection of jewelry, wall art, rocks and stones, clothing, western wear, beaded jewelry, Native American jewelry, and on and on. Pics attached. We LOVE to visit and shop here. Well worth the hour plus drive. We never leave empty-handed. Today while my wife was off in another area of this HUGE building, I snagged a good deal on some Native American made sterling silver jewelry that I'll tuck away until her birthday. The place was hopping. The staff was friendly and helpful. Just how to describe the Pickle Barrel is not easy. They have metal yard art, pottery, hats, leather moccasins, a large selection of unique and one-off jewelry items, shirts, hats, hand bags, mineral rock, books, paintings and artwork, wallets, rugs, wraps, mugs, and on and on. Wander around the outside for a half hour then go inside and spend another hour going from area to area. I dare you to not buy something. The Pickle Barrel is clearly a fun, afternoon destination place.

I love this place. You must the coffee beans and prickly pear tea. Just a great place to shop. Hand lotions are great also

Google
Wow...a fantastic, eclectic collection of art, artifacts. Kitchenware, and southwest native artisans work. Definitely worth checking out.

Google
Nice spot to stop while in Globe. Very touristy, lots of desert kind of decor. Jewelry, baskets and metal art. Fun to walk through.

Yelp
Such a charming store! Stopped here on our way back to Show Low from Tucson and wished we had more time to shop! Bought some lovely jewelry, a beaded coin purse, a lovely barrette and a colorful purse. The staff were pleasant and helpful. Lots of cute garden/lawn decor and wall art! Hope to shop there again soon!
google avatar

Yelp
What a fun diverse store! Lots of cool knick knacks: metaphysical stuff , religious and Native American. There are three large rooms inside loaded with goodies and outdoor garden decor. Come and browse through and bring your babies!
google avatar

Yelp
Great treasures and so much variety! You'll find everything from yard art to jewelry here ... something for everyone. Some items are pricey, but others are reasonable. It's fun to pop in and look around even if you don't buy anything!

Yelp
After reading the rave reviews on this place, we drove in from Surprise. AZ. a good 2 hours each way. This was one of the most disappointing day trips to date -over priced, commercialized goods for sale -flavoured licorice, taffey, cheese balls, etc. some pricey kitchen goods, lower quality Stetson hats, walking sticks, Minnetonka moccasins, some Indian jewelry, baseball style caps, a few blankets -a hodge-podge mixture of whatever. The yard art consisted of brown, rusty coloured metal like donkeys, ants, javelina (I think), roosters/hens, a few dull coloured flowers and gray cactus. We took our time and strolled through the store and left empty handed. At least it was a fairly scenic drive once we got into the mountain area. If you're looking for some decent Mexican yard art and goods, visit some of the shops off of the 85 in Gila Bend area.

Yelp
Must see shopping. Such a different assortment of merchandise. Antiques, jewelry, hides, copper splashes, books etc.

Kathleen A.

Yelp
Cool place, huge variety! Lots of beautiful turquoise. It's a place you could spend hours!

Yelp
Gift-o-rama! This is probably the best place to get a gift that screams SOUTHWEST! or GLOBE, AZ! The store seems to go on and on it's so big. There's an indoor portion and an outdoor area. They offer both antique and new items. Some of the gifts for sale that I saw were wood sculptures, kachina dolls, turquoise jewelry, and birdhouses. The antique section was interesting and cool to browse through. I've been here a few times and while I haven't really found anything that I'd buy quite yet, I do enjoy looking through their selection. 3.5/5

Yelp
Great place! Fun visit. If you're passing thru Globe, stop here, get out of the car and stretch a bit. You can spend a little time or an hour!! Great mix of products including antiques, Native American crafts, southwestern decorations, rocks & gems, etc, etc... Pretty much everything! And they're friendly people too!! We usually get at least one stop each year!
google avatar

Tammy S.

Yelp
This is one place not to miss in Globe. We stopped in and spent a lot of time looking at all the items for sale. They have lots of nice Southwest and collectibles for sale.
google avatar

Adrea F.

Yelp
I love this place, every time you stop in, there is a guarantee you will need some time to browse all of the new items! There is something for everyone! My favorite - the sleeping beauty turquoise!

Yelp
I came here while visiting some of my family and this place is huge! The workers were very nice and welcoming and had an amazing selection. I enjoyed looking at all their wares and found a ring I liked alot. I continued looking through their selection and nothing was as appealing as that ring. at the end of my browsing with no nosey staff pestering me I asked if I could try on the ring. It actually fit and was white and black so it actually matched some of my apparel. Bought it on the spot and I liked the atmosphere in this shop. highly recommend you come here.

Yelp
This place is huge and has so many interesting things from rocks to antiques! Some very high quality and authentic American Indian art, jewelry and much much more. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Came to browse and purchased a few choice items. They are open on Sunday too. I came on a Monday because I thought they were closed and stopped by a burger place nearby called Nerdburger.... separate review to come.

Yelp
Great unique store! Need at least an hour for looking! Loved it and the staff were very friendly!

Valkyrie S.

Yelp
Absolutely the best southwestern trading post. The dozens of metal cacti just on the walk in is enough to pull anyone in. The variety of everything in the store was great. Jewelry, blankets, decorative cacti, western art, and so much more. Everything was great quality. The staff was great, the jewelry counter workers were incredibly kind, helpful and patient while I took my time finding a new ring - my favorite ring to this day! The owner even emailed me back immediately when I inquired about buying a second ring I had remembered from months ago, and is helping me arrange buying the ring and shipping to Texas where I live. I absolutely recommend the Pickle Barrel. The selection and staff is above and beyond.
google avatar

Margaret C.

Yelp
You have to see the items spread out over 8,000 sf! Their Native collections are amazing and the personnel are knowledgeable. They even have a section for Native crafts. They also have unusual food items that seem to only be available in Arizona.
google avatar

Brad W.

Yelp
Back in Globe again and stopped here again with friend. More clutter, but this time noticed alot of overpriced items as well and many way beyond their expired date. Not paying $35 to buy a rusted old Javelina. The Red Tags sale was only on the worst junk ever table. The pickle needs to lower prices and retag the junk out front to sell to me. Plus. Still no pickles.

Mindy B.

Yelp
They have a great assortment of interesting things. We always take family there to shop from out of town. There is an area with copper items, some Arizona flavored foods/seasonings, hand crafted artist creations (pottery, jewelry and others) antiques, leather, and all other sorts of local themed goods. Stop in if you are around, interesting stuff!

Yelp
Heading to Globe, it's almost impossible to miss signs advertising this place. "You won't believe what's in here!" they scream. After checking out Besh-Ba-Gowah, and heading back toward the general Phoenix area we just had to stop in historic Globe to find out just how uncanny this place was. It's one of those knick-knack, Native American/ironwork souvenir shops that's just a smattering of everything. You are greeted at the entrance by a garden of rusted-over welded animals, horses and javelinas alike. Inside, the place tries to capture the rugged and genteel sides of the Old West -- buck skins, doilies, old farm equipment, china sets, and all sorts of curios. It makes for an interesting place to explore, but with prices set the way they are there isn't anything really worth buying.

Mary W.

Yelp
I was at Pickle Barrel Trading Post on Saturday Sept. 8th. Had a wonderful experience! Lovely store, well stocked with jewely, knick knacks, cowboy stuff and so much more. I met the owners, so helpful and pleasant. Don't miss it! Mary, Menomonee Falls, WI

Yelp
Today was our second visit to this wonderful store. They have a huge assortment of Native American art along with jewelry, outdoor art, vintage items, and more. The employees were extremely friendly and helpful, and the store was enforcing COVID restrictions which made us feel safer. So glad we were able to enjoy this shopping experience today.

Yelp
Awesome place with lots of varieties of art/antiques/snacks/clothes/ native Indian culture/everything you can think of. The only issue is that they are super pricey and seems like their prices increase more every time I go there. This makes me very sad. I used to shop here all the time for gifts for family and for me. I wish their prices weren't this expensive.

Anne W.

Yelp
We think this shop is absolutely worth a trip in itself. The beaded jewelry made by San Carlos and White Mountain Apache tribal artisans is exceptional. There is a mix for all ages and all interests!
google avatar

Christina N.

Yelp
This is a nice place but there's time I don't appreciate being followed around the store.
google avatar

Tasha C.

Yelp
Very cute store... a lot of different items including new goods and antiques. Do not agree with prior review. Prices were cheaper than in the Valley. Great selection of Kachinas, memorabilia, crystals/rocks, iron art, western wear (belts, hats). Huge selection of leather working goods including leather. Store is air conditioned ( so we will be back when it is boiling in Phoenix). Beautiful jewelry - Indian, silver, and copper. Staff very friendly. Huge so plan extra time when you go. Check out the giant metal dragon in front ( kinda hidden next to the fountain). We were trying to figure out how to fit on out Prius, but alas not for sale (not that it would have fit :) ). PS check out the photo of the purple antique glass for sale we posted. Highly recommend - first time here, but not last.

Yelp
Took a mini field trip out to Globe to show a visiting friend from NY how vast & beautiful Arizona can be. When we got to Globe we saw signs for the Pickle Barrel Trading Post and with a name like that, we knew we had to explore it! The building itself is historic and pretty cool looking. Once you enter the driveway and drive around back, you'll find a Wonka-esque wonderland of antiques, art and lawn ornaments. Inside is an 8,000 square foot odyssey of shopping including everything from touristy AZ stuff to real traded Native American arts and crafts, leather goods and workings, toys, t-shirts, gifts, jewelry and more. We walked the entire length of the building perusing the wares, but THE BEST FINDS are in the vintage section. We scored some amazing and very reasonably priced vintage items including a 5-piece ceramic blue bird wall hanging set that looks like chest tattoos for your wall (in the original 2 color printed box, I might add), and a tiny family of plastic baby deer (probably intended as Xmas or train platform décor). If I had a million dollars I would buy everything I saw and loved, but I kept to my $20 splurge budget and also got some cast iron metal stars and some post cards to boot. The staff was super friendly and chatted with us. They asked if they could take our pic for their Facebook Wall and we said sure. And sure as shinola, they posted our pic a few days later. FUN! Engaging! FREE PR!! ;) Globe is an interesting little town that looks straight out of "Back to the Future", or like my Dad's hometown in the anthracite coal region of Pennsylvania. Either way, it's quaint, cute and worth the Sunday drive - -especially when The Pickle Barrel Trading Post lives at the end of the rainbow.

Yelp
This store in Globe is unique, right from the entrance to the property with the funky metal artwork. When you walk inside you will be met with Western items, Native American items, antiques, and other gifts. It is hard to miss, as all signs lead here! I recently took a joy ride to Globe, just because, it is a really preserved mining town from yore, and I am glad I stumbled upon the Pickle Barrel Trading Post. Note: they do not sell pickles!

W.C. E.

Yelp
The store has thousands and thousands of cool souvenirs but most are made in Mexico. After asking if they had any local copper souvenir coins or bars they said no but we have shot cups, so I bought two shot cups thinking they were local made. When I got home and remove the price tag off the bottom of them they both were stamped made in Mexico, I wasn't very happy thinking I was getting a locally Globe made shot cups which I didn't.

Yelp
Such a fun store. My husband lived in Globe the first three years of his life (56 yrs ago) and their home was across the street from a dairy store called Shamrock Dairy. The home and the dairy store are both gone but we found a Shamrock Dairy MILK bottle in this fabulous antique store!! The place is clean and well lite and we loved looking at everything (and buying) even though we were going to just pass through. So fun! Highly recommend !

Yelp
The Pickle Barrel Trading Post offers a wide variety of antiques, souvenirs, Indian art and jewelry, Southwest gifts + much more ~ wrapped together in the historic setting of an 8,000 square foot retail shop. The staff is very welcoming and friendly. I highly recommend visiting this business.

Yelp
The husband and I had planned a spring/Easter weekend getaway. We went to eastern Arizona. Starting at the Arboretum we headed to Globe. The signs and many reviews that this was and amazing roadside attraction. Of course we had to go. You drive through Globe which in itself an attraction then arrive at the establishment. As you walk past many, many metal sculptures of every desert item known to man it is curious as to what you are about to see. Inside this huge building there are all the typical Arizona tourist items along with some local geodes, minerals and gems. Towards the back are the antiques which are really remarkable and appear to be regional. That was a nice stroll and the prices were very standard for the variety of ware they sold.
google avatar

Sarah Y.

Yelp
While antiquing is not my thing, Pickle Barrel is fun to wander around in and I always enjoy looking at all of the random items they sell.

Yelp
If zero stars were possible, I wouldn't have given one. Overpriced to say the least and I had one of the old women in there follow me around the ENTIRE store and then to the DOOR as I left because I was done being followed around the store. I have never stolen anything and don't understand people who do. Will never ever, EVER return. Keep your overpriced junk.

Lloyd W.

Yelp
My sister came to Phoenix to visit, and we went out cruising around the countryside and stopped by the Pickle Barrel out of curiosity when heading back to Phoenix through Globe after making the beautiful drive from Sahuaro Lake up the river to Roosevelt Lake and the cliff dwellings. What a great place to visit - They have all kinds of merchandise, such as Native American jewelry, Mexican and Desert Southwest handiwork, as well as antiques and sundry items of interest. It's a big place with a nice staff of owners and helping hands. Just going there is a great experience, and with all they offer there's likely something that will catch your eye - big or little.

M C.

Yelp
Very few antiques anymore! Lots of mexican metal work, tshirts, touristy items, wind chimes and Arizona related shopping items. There are lots of cute signs and vintage, retro looking items. There is a little bit of everything if you like shopping at tourist stops. Penelton blankets anf purses, native amerucan items, hides and raw leather, hats, tshirts, etc. Cute building with limited parking. No room for trailers or Motor homes but you can park and walk from somewhere nearby. If you are looking for antiques, it may not be worth your time. Lots of new items to look through as the building is large and filled with items.

Maria R.

Yelp
Very rude people. They don't pay any attention to you when you walk in the door... No greeting... Just ignore you. Way overpriced!!! Check out the other Antique stores in the area... Very friendly and very reasonable prices. Will never go here again, plus it's almost all Western stuff..
google avatar

Ziasprings Z.

Yelp
Fun merchandise and reasonable shipping for travelers! Great customer service. A must-see for those visiting Globe!

S A.

Yelp
Fun store to stop by. Lots of yard art on the outside made of metal. The inside has a lot of touristy stuff but there are also many antiques to browse at as you go through it. Prices are very fair if you are interested in purchasing anything.

Bill B.

Yelp
They have a little bit of everything. The largest selection of yard art animals I have ever seen. A good source for small Mata Ortiz pottery at reasonable prices. I have found some amazing hand carved ironwood animals from Mexico that are museum quality. Also, if you are into Pendleton blankets, they have the best deals anywhere, including at the Pendelton factory. Not an extremely large selection on hand, but they can order anything you want. This is a mandatory stop during christmas, birthday, anniversary shopping.

Tara B.

Yelp
Is a really fun store to browse through, would have gave it 5 stars, except for one of the staff seemed to be following me through out the store. I get that they are watching for theft, however in a store such as this, you take your time to wander around and see everything. Other than that I really liked it!
