The first time I walked past Pickles Eatery, I was instantly drawn to its elegant exterior. The minimalist design carries a quiet sophistication that makes you curious about what’s inside. I decided right then that I had to come back with friends to try it out! We ordered several of the dishes recommended by the staff, including mini burgers, roasted duck breast, and beef tartare. I don’t usually eat French cuisine, so I didn’t quite know what to expect—but every dish completely surprised me in the best way. It really changed my impression of French dining! My personal favorite was definitely the mini burgers. The waiter confidently said they were the best in Ho Chi Minh City, and honestly, I can see why. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor—absolutely worth the hype. The price was also quite reasonable for such an elegant place. Most dishes were around 200,000 VND each, and for two people including drinks, it came to about 1,000,000 VND per person. Considering the ambiance, presentation, and service, it felt like a very fair deal.

A hidden gem that truly lives up to the hype! Pickles Eatery had been on my radar for months. Friends kept raving about it, so I finally decided it was time to see what all the fuss was about. What a find! A cozy, French-style bistro with a welcoming team and charming ambience that instantly makes you feel at home. We started with the cheesy cauliflower (with a yumm-o blend of bitey cheese), one of their signature bone marrow dishes (we chose beef tartare), and the salmon tartare with avocado cream on crispy nori, which had just the right kick of wasabi and a great textural mix of cream-meets-crunch. For mains, we opted for both specials: the cod in clam sauce and the striploin with Robert sauce. The cod was beautifully cooked, and the clam sauce didn't go to waste: we ended up mopping every drop with bread. The steak was spot on, but honestly, the sauces stole the show — bold, rich, and unforgettable. We wrapped up with the chocolate lava cake. A small miscommunication meant no vanilla ice cream, but the staff were quick to improvise and saved the day with coconut paddle pops; a gesture that was both thoughtful and hilarious. Each plate felt lovingly crafted, down to every fine detail, and I caught myself mentally bookmarking nearly every dish to order again. As for value: I’ve spent far more elsewhere for food that didn’t come close in terms of flavour, service, or atmosphere. If you haven’t been to Pickles yet, go. You’ll leave full and happy,

Finally I gotta visit this place. Very nice vibe and cosy restaurant in a very local area of Saigon. I love the mixture of the old Vietnamese style door and the modern decoration inside. The food was good. Staffs are friendly and professional.

I visited this restaurant for a meal last Friday. It was very crowded, so I was worried that we wouldn’t be taken care of properly or that the food might be rushed. But the staff made a great effort to take good care of our table, and I could really feel their hospitality. The food was also delicious and perfectly suited my taste. I will definitely came back on future occasions.❤️

The restaurant displays many Polaroid photos, which looks unique, and the staff are very friendly. The food and drinks are diverse. Highly recommend everyone to come and experience it. The only thing is that the space is quite small, so it can be a bit noisy
