We stopped by Picnic Coffee for lunch on Christmas Eve. The food was okay, but they initially told us they only had enough bread for one sandwich, though they managed to find enough for two in the end. Unfortunately, there was no side salad or anything extra with the sandwiches, so they felt pretty basic. None of the smoothies were available, which we could understand given it was Christmas Eve, but we were in early for lunch so it was surprising they managed to run out so early. Overall, it wasn’t bad, but not great either. The price was a bit steep for a couple of fairly simple toasted sandwiches.

From the smell as you go in you can tell that the coffee is going to be good. I had a really nice latte that was more on the strong end with woody and slight caramel notes. For £3.75 it feels pretty steep and I wanted to hate it but actually do rate the coffee. Service was friendly. The decor is simple but nice with plenty of light. I did also like that they had a coffee flavour wheel on the wall that I could look at while trying my coffee too.

In the top 3 of the coffee shops in Bath! It gets all the sun from the morning. The staff is sweet, and the coffee is good. They also seem to care a lot about sustainability, and their interior design is well thought.

Charming small coffee shop. I had a lovely date oat cake, and the flat white was superb 👌 Sat outside as it was sunny and watched the world go by. They bring everything to your table after you order, which is nice.

Used to be a 5* for me. Still amazing coffee, but sadly another has fallen to American tipping culture. Would you like to 1) pay up to an extra £3 on your £3.25 coffee, or 2) be made to feel awkward pressing the "no tip" button 🫣

Good coffee shop with a barista that knows his stuff. Friendly staff that are able to have a chat and still get the coffee orders out quickly. Fantastic corner location next to the antique markets (Saturday morning). The place has so many windows that let in all the beautiful light and watching the world go by. They even have some tables outside to soak up the sun directly. Side rant: It's a shame that ristretto shots are not common in England and the baristas need to workaround the machines to do it. The guy at this cafe managed to beat the machine and make a great magic.

Stumbled across this coffee shop and will definitely be back. The coffee and cookie I had were brilliant. The ampotsphere of this place is nice and the two staff were very polite and attentive. :)

Nice, bright cafe in the area. You can find tasty toasties, and bakery. Latte was good. Outside and indoor seating areas are available and there are some goodies for sell.

Yelp
Came here on a cold Saturday morning and the town was quiet because tourist were still asleep. Love the laid back vibe because it was on the corner of a Main Street with huge windows on both sides. Had a cappuccino and they asked if I'd like coco powder on the side and they made it look so nice. Also ordered a croissant but I regretted I didn't ask for it to be toasted. Anyway enjoyed my 15 mins there for some zen time.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast and bought a ham and cheese croissant. The croissant itself was delicious and they gave you the option of toasting it which I highly recommend. Also before I would often complain that British croissants doesn't have a lot of flavor but actually this lack of flavor works incredibly well in this dish because the cheese will give it all the flavor it needs. The one complain I have about this place is that they originally said that the croissant would only be £3.5 but they charged me £4.5 for it. After I realized the mismatch in pricing, they still charged me the upwards amount. I mean it's only a pound so it doesn't really matter at the end of the day, but its just something to be more conscious about in the future.

Yelp
Our recent visit to Bath was unbearably hot, so I was constantly on the lookout for an iced coffee - and their handwritten sandwich board sign (which has some of the best art/sayings on it!) advertising cold drinks is what lured me to Picnic as I was en route to Walcot St. It's a smaller space than it looks, but they've done a great job maximizing it's full potential regarding seating (there's also a few tables outside). There was only one person on staff, and despite there being a number of customers, she was turning around both accurate and well made drinks in a pretty timely manner. My iced coffee was the best iced coffee I had in Bath... probably because it wasn't a cup of iced soya with a hint of espresso (which seems to be the standard in the parts of the UK I've visited/lived), but an actual filtered coffee with a splash of soya. Next time, I'll exclusively come here. Along with wasting time looking for other decent iced coffees in town, I'm also disappointed in myself for not trying the food here - all of which looks scrumptious. They've got pastries (like almond croissants, pain au chocolat, and other various sweet treats [including GF and vegan ones!]) and sandwiches in their chiller. The point? If I lived here (and I might some day), THIS would be my go to spot.

Yelp
I stopped here for some coffee on my visit to Bath and really enjoyed the quality coffee served here. I'm a big fan of independent coffee shops but not too keen on chains, so I jumped right into Picnic, always on the lookout for these little coffee gems. The cafe itself is very small but there is a moderate number of seats. The Americano I had was fantastic, I really missed a good strong brew as I live in an area where there's only chains like Costa and Starbucks. The prices are very reasonable, the staff were great and the cafe decor itself is bright and crisp. The location is also only a hop skip and jump away from tourist spots like the Roman baths and there is car parking right opposite, so I'd really recommend popping in if in the area or even parking there to get the day going!

Yelp
Great place to get a real pot of loose leaf tea. Excellent staff, light and airy decor
