Pidapipó Carlton

Visited on Sunday 10th around 7:30pm, excited to try the new collab dessert with Masses Bagels. We had one simple request, to have the gelato served separately so it wouldn’t melt all over the donut on our drive home. The staff member seemed baffled and said he could only do this in a 500ml tub and charge extra. We said that was fine and even offered to pay for smaller cups instead if that was easier. What we received was 1.5 scoops squashed into one cup (instead of a scoop in each), and the dessert was missing the olive oil drizzle shown in the promo. The interaction was abrupt and unfriendly. No acknowledgment, no explanation, just put the items on the counter and walked away. A real letdown from a local business we’ve supported in the past. The poor service completely ruined the treat we’d been looking forward to. Sadly, we won’t be returning.

Absolutely delicious gelato in Carlton. Very allergy friendly as well. Both my partner and I have nut allergies and they have a list of which flavours are nut free and will open a new tub for you to ensure no cross contamination has taken place. We’ll absolutely be coming back!

The most aesthetic little Italian ice cream shop!! The staff were so friendly and gave us the biggest tester. We got 2 ginormous scoops of pistachio and chocolate, jam & brownie, well worth the money and absolutely delicious!! Best ice cream we have had in Australia!!

Purchased two scoop gelato in a cup. Flavours are great but I wish serving size for the second scoop would be more generous… I honestly feel like serving sizes have become smaller in the last 5 years… such a shame.

Yummy gelato but nine dollars for the affogato with just less than half a small cup of coffee and a tiny scoop of ice cream is a bit too much. Service could also be improved as staff was cold.

What a lovely little ice-cream joint in Lygon Street between Farady and Elgin Streets. Next door to King and Godfrey Lane where Johnny's Green Room is situated. It has an awesome vibe with lots of people still lining up despite it almost being 11.00pm. I had a cone with a couple scoops of ice-cream. Mango is one of my go-to flavours so why not try that. The other flavour was watermelon only because I had a craving for it. Was it good? Well, the watermelon was on the mark with its flavour but all too sweet. The mango, to be honest, didn't really taste like mango at all. Perhaps it wasn't mango was my first reaction. I'll need to give it another go and perhaps take some friends to see what they think. For now the jury is out but it will be worth checking out thos little gem again...most definitely. The atmosphere on the sidewalk was electric...perhaps all the neons had something to do with that? I must also remark that the young person who served me did so beautifully. With an enormous smile and just too willing to serve and manners that were ever so polite. This is something I really appreciate in people. Until next we meet, I will definitely return. Cheers

Quite expensive for an ice-cream, but the vanilla honeycomb ice-cream is to die for. I would recommend ordering at least two flavours as you get more bang for your buck.
