Pidapipó CBD

I’m in the CBD regularly, and more often than not there’s always a line at Pidapipó — which says a lot about how popular (and how good) their gelato is. I’ll admit it took me a while before I finally tried it, but once I did, I was sold. My first flavour was salted caramel and it was delicious. I’ve since been back well over a dozen times before finally deciding to write this review. That said, I do agree with some of the lower ratings this place has received, particularly around customer service and portion size inconsistency. Unfortunately, I’ve experienced both. On one occasion the service was quite off-putting, and I probably wouldn’t have gone back if someone hadn’t offered to shout me — luckily that visit was much better, which is what encouraged me to return. Since then, I’ve also noticed the portion size issue others have mentioned. It’s hard not to feel disappointed when you see other customers receiving noticeably larger servings for the same order. I can completely understand why this would turn some people away. If management could address these two issues — consistency in service and portion sizes — I genuinely believe Pidapipó would be an easy 5-star venue and probably have even longer lines than it already does. The gelato itself is excellent, and that’s the main reason I keep coming back.

Tried their Pistachio + Passion Fruit & Ginger combo — absolutely divine! 💚💛 The pistachio was creamy, nutty, and rich, while the passion fruit and ginger sorbet added the perfect tangy and refreshing contrast. Such a balanced and addictive mix! The texture was super smooth, and you can really taste the quality ingredients. Beautiful shop vibes too — bright, modern, and cheerful. Definitely one of the best gelatos I’ve had in Melbourne! 🍨✨

Every spoonful reflected attention to sourcing, preparation, and presentation. Service & Professionalism Staff were friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely enthusiastic about their products. Their ability to guide choices and describe flavors enhanced the overall experience, demonstrating professionalism that aligns with the artisanal quality of their offerings. Overall Impression Pidapipo is more than an ice cream shop; it is a testament to the power of quality ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and genuine passion for craft. Walk in. sample out some of the most praised and delicious gelato with unique flavour and texture. For example, how creative is Mango with Mecademia? Or Redcurrant and Straciatella? gingerbread and passionfuit - an absolute December flavour. There are small numbers of bar stool inside for us to enjoy our 🍨lavish and densely piled in a cup gelato of choice(s).

Definitely my favourite gelato store in Melbourne! All the flavours are fantastic and traditional from Italy. Never get disappointed on the monthly specials as well. Mostly recommend pistachio and salted caramel for all the time! See how many times I had been here!

I tried the Peanut Butter flavor. It was perfect— creamy, full of rich peanut taste, and not too sweet. ❗️ Important Tip: This shop only accepts card payments. Make sure you have your card ready—no cash accepted!

I love they open heater when outside is too cold. I prefer pistachio in here than Piccolina very salty. I taste more nutty flavor here, but at first I not quite used to the strong flavor. Nutella is not that good actually, expect should be more chocolate.

It was quite a long queue on sunday night but I managed to get my Chocolate, and Cookies and Cream ice cream cone at $8.80. It was definitely worth my money cause it was so so good! I loved it so much! Definite recommendation to all! 10/10!
