I’ll start off with saying that this is a great pizza joint. I am typically very satisfied, but this time not so much.. I feel I am being very generous giving 4 stars after I got this pizza delivered. It looks like it was sitting in a heating window for too long. It could also be that the driver took a long time to deliver, too, as I’m pretty sure they partner with door dash or someone else of that degree. That’s likely while it was lukewarm at best when I got it. The pizza tasted “just ok.”

Google
Ordered a pepperoni and pineapple pizza and enjoyed it. The crust was crispy, and the flavor was good. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only negative was that the pie was overly greasy for my taste. EDITED TO ADD: There was a double charge to my card that was caught by the restaurant and refunded. Thank you for catching that.

Google
Been coming next door for a little now but never had the pleasure of getting to try this fantastic pizza! I finally visited last night and everything was on point! I love the little late night door window and sign all the best vibe. Happy to see them open on Tuesday’s. Chefs kiss !

Google
I visited this restaurant for the first time on April 6, 2025. Brandon took my order and was very polite. He handled the heavy crowd with ease as well. The one veggie slice ($6) and 6 garlic Parmesan wings ($14 - $1 for garlic parm -no fries) was very filling. They do not toss the wings in the sauce. That was perfect because then I can put on exactly how much I want. The Sangria ($) was poured perfectly. Heads up - there are several taxes on the bill. There is a St. Louis City Tax, MO Tax and Grove Tax. It didn’t look to be a charge for using my card. I will definitely be back.

Google
Cool vibes and delicious pizza by the slice. My son loved the classic cheese slice and I enjoyed the veggie slice. The polite guy who served us said the veggies change daily. Today was spinach, mushroom and sun dried tomato 😋

Google
Extremely great pizza. Came out fresh and hot. Good atmosphere. Chill vibe to catch a slice.

Google
I love seeking out local pizzerias to try and am so glad we tried Pie Guy. We got a NY style pizza with cheese and hamburger. The sourdough crust was amazing and it folded perfectly like a true NY style slice. Very relaxed atmosphere with games, billiard table and TVs. It's up there with the best of them!

Karl

Google
As one friend out it, the vegan pizza is like a salad on a slice. It was delicious. Would've liked some vegan cheese to keep the toppings from sliding off, but not a huge issue.

Yelp
I had this feeling that today was the day to try this place. I've been putting it off because they don't open until noon. I had another feeling to check the hours. I was pleasantly surprised to see they now open at 11. Tied for best NY Style in STL with La Pizza. Pie guy wins on space. Amazing food. Fantastic service. They've got some pinball machines. Bring some quarters.

Yelp
I was looking for a quick lunch in The Grove. Pie Guy Pizza was a short wait time. For dine in l ordered at the bar. I had the spinach bacon salad which was interesting but good. The pizza was good. I have decided this would be a good place for my family to go for lunch or dinner when we are in the neighborhood. There is Wi-Fi so it provided space for me to do some work as well.

Yelp
Pie Guy has some amazing NY style pizza! The best I have had in STL by far. It had a hipster vibe and a full bar. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I got two slices of cheese pizza and a side salad. I loved the pizza! It was cheesy and delicious. I also really enjoyed the side salad. It was simple but really delicious. It went along well with my pizza. Defintley stop by Pie Guy!

Yelp
Stopped by this place while bar hopping and was pleasantly surprised at the atmosphere! It was busy and filled with all age ranges, from people in business casual, families with kids, college students, etc! They sell out their popular dishes pretty fast so we couldn't snag the garlic knots but we got Detroit style pizza and it was so yummy! It was perfect amount to split between 2 people. I love the inside decorations and would come again to try the New York style pizza and garlic knots!
google avatar

Yelp
Pie Guy continues to have the absolute BEST pizza in the STL area! We love the simplicity of the menu, the friendliness of the staff, and the fun welcoming environment. Anytime we are on this side of the river, Pie Guy is top of mind for a great place to grab a bite to eat. I highly recommend the spot for excellent New York style pizza, a fun environment for adults and families alike, a great beer, selection, and reasonable prices.

Yelp
One of the greatest slices of pizza I've ever had. Next time I probably won't get the side garlic sauce. But the pizza was perfect.

Yelp
Given this is St. Louis: 4 star pizza. If in Jersey this rating would be much lower, but c'mon, those pie box graphics and flying pizza slices on the wall are classic and can't help but put a smile on your face. The crust here is solid and the pies are huge! The sauce though is rather disgustingly gross on the pepperoni pie making it utterly inedible leaving me to dive into the Hawaiian style pizza as I put aside my pride and for the first time ever, bit into a pizza with bacon and pineapple. Alright , after the pepperoni pie, this one actually tasted alright, almost (dare I say) good. The garlic knots were a tad too large and needed more garlic and another 5 minutes in the oven for my liking. But this place has a fun vibe and the pies were ready right on time. I think you really need to experiment with the toppings and sauces here to find the right combination. Given some time, I know I'd find my go to pie here.

Yelp
Came here for late dinner on a Saturday. The space is neat! It's a good vibe with pizza and pinball games while you get some drinks with friends. We got the special pizza, as well as pepperoni. We wanted to try sausage but unfortunately they were out so we got the veggie instead. By far the pepperoni slices were the best! All pretty decent though. Best NY style pizza in St. Louis that I've had. Holiday drinks were subpar... a little too sweet / interesting flavor combos. But I plan to come back for that pepperoni pizza!
google avatar

Alex R.

Yelp
Solid choice for a slice! Popped in around 7pm for a quick casual Valentine's Day bite. We went for the individual slice route and shared some garlic knots. We went for the small garlic knots order and am glad we did, like their slices, the garlic knots were large. Could've gone a little heavier on the garlic but were super tasty. I had the veggie slice and, as noted, it was big! The crust had a nice crispiness to it and while thinner, held up the toppings well. I liked that the pizza sauce wasn't super sweet like some can be and the sun dried tomatoes added some nice tang. Street parking in the Grove but didn't have any issues and it is an order at the counter set up. Would definitely come back for quick classic pizza craving!

Yelp
Yet again, this pizza is at the top of my "favorite pizza" list. From the perfect dough to the perfect cook, multiple orders in a row now have just blown my mind. This time we ordered to-go, but decided to go enjoy a brew while we waited. Super cool atmosphere of lofty/clean. Staff was happy to see us and knowledgeable about their drinks. Just amazing overall. Will absolutely use them as our staple "pizza night" for our family.
google avatar

Leah Anh N.

Yelp
Wow, this was our first time here. The pizza is big and filling. It was not as busy at late night which we like. There is a bar that serve drinks. There was also several game arcade and a pool table. It was a relaxing vibe. Bonus that they open late night. Also free lemonade or water.
google avatar

Alyssa M.

Yelp
Picked up a pizza to go, good price for the size and overall would recommend. It was a very solid pizza but not my all time favorite. You can skip the garlic sauce- it's pretty much just butter.
google avatar

Kevin H.

Yelp
I've been going to pie guy, since it first popped up in Gezellig (rip). Actually, I hadn't been back since Gezellig closed. And that's nothing against Pie guy! Their pizza has always been solid. One thing I'd tell people back then, ordering a whole pie, is a necessity. A slice was great, but nothing like ordering a whole pizza. Recently, a buddy put on my radar that they started doing Detroit style, which is one of my favorite styles of pizza. GET HERE for this! It's absolutely incredible. Their regular pizza is SO good. But, I implore you: Come get the Detroit style! I'll dream about it
google avatar

Norma L.

Yelp
The pizza is good. But the service sucks! Ordered a pepperoni pizza and it took forever!
google avatar

Darnell S.

Yelp
One of my favorite New York style pizza in STL. Ever since we have found this place wayyyyy before the remodel we have loved this place wholeheartedly. Staff is friendly and quick to get you taken care of. With a New and improved bar right next door this makes for a perfect spot to eat, drink and play
google avatar

Courtney F.

Yelp
Literally just came for the beer, we'll have to come back again to try the pizza because it looks bomb. But service was great. We walked right up to the bar and got drinks immediately. Pretty good prices. And they have a cool little patio area. Great spot for a spring day or late summer evening!
google avatar

Alicia B.

Yelp
I came in with a group. This was our first time here. It was sooooo delicious, so fresh, and the crust was so crisp. There was a live band playing at the time we were there. It's refreshing they have free kool-aid and water. Service was fast and friendly. We went around 130ish. We were told that it was a naked bike ride taking place at 4 pm. We got to witness some of the festivities . Pizza is my favorite food, and I only go to non chain places, so this was off the chain to me. I would definitely visit again.
google avatar

Ken B.

Yelp
I'm torn due to personal preference. I loved the crust, loved the meats, loved the consistency and the cheese was perfection but I was not a fan of the sauce. It had a vinegar flavor, I'm sure they hand make their sauce and maybe it just wasn't the right batch, but honestly I would not go back. I provide a four because maybe others would love the sauce, I was just not my thing. The owner was great, the joint was clean and the staff was friendly. Go try for yourself and tell me what you
google avatar

Daniel W.

Yelp
This wasn't typical quality we've had in past years when visiting the area. Pizza crust wasn't the right consistency, almost undercooked. Toppings seemed to a lesser quality.
google avatar

Jaz M.

Yelp
I came here for the first time and had a sanitary concern addressed that resulted in a comped pizza and drink on my next visit. Pizza was great both times, but I'll focus on the second time. There was street parking available on both sides. I spoke with the owner who was courteous and understanding. I got the cheese pie with green peppers in spinach. The green peppers were cooked to the right softness and had a nice taste. There is a bar on the other side 2 months new. I had an old fashioned. It was pretty good. The raised PG on the ice cubes was nice touch. Pizza pretty good and worth a try.
google avatar

Rejoice O.

Yelp
I really like this place! It's unique and one part of it reminds me of being in NY, with the ability to buy by the slice! I love the ambiance, and the bar. Their drinks very unique and quite tasty! The bar tenders are great and personable, so I will definitely be going back again!
google avatar

The D.

Yelp
This is what be it two places in STL that you can get the closest thing to a real NY slice. Not perfect but it definitely fills the void. Used to have a cool beer bar Nextdoor. That is now run by same people and they do a good job although not quite the same.
google avatar

Shawn P.

Yelp
Chewy, well cooked, pies. Very good. Anytime I'm looking for a nice slice I hit this place up. Now is the time for outdoor pie eating.
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
My new favorite pizza in St. Louis! Don't miss out on the hot honey! Service is quick and the pizza comes out so fresh.
google avatar

Kelse S.

Yelp
Literally so mad at myself for not coming here sooner! As an avid pizza enthusiast, I'm always willing to try new spots that has anything to do with it! I often sometimes change my eating plans, since I don't want an entire pizza to myself. As wonderful as it would be, it often goes bad by the time I get to eat all of the leftovers. This spot was perfect, as you can get it by the slice. I came in around 1pm and the lunch crowd was gone. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and a Diet Coke (the choice was hard- they all looked amazing!). The total was $7 for both- definitely a plus. I sat down and got out my laptop to work a bit. Within 5 minutes, my pizza was out and holy smokes it looked amazing. The crust was crispy and the cheese was flavorful. The pepperoni had an authentic taste, it was fantastic. The staff was awesome and friendly, and I'm so excited to come back and try more types. They also have a carry out window for late night slices. Sign me up!! Thanks so much for a great Thursday, Pie Guy!

Yelp
Pretty darn good! You can stop in for a single slice but I usually do carry out, its always a breeze running in to pick up. The 18" pepperoni pizza always feeds us for days - heads up the pizza box does not fit in the fridge. The garlic knots are good, dipping sauce was even better; perfectly spicy. The STL chopped salad is a must every time. They gave us a complementary chocolate chip cookie on one occasion, it absolutely did not disappoint.
google avatar

Rachel C.

Yelp
Walked in to buy a slice of pizza and was told I needed to order online and come back. Checked online and was over an hour to pickup so I left. Smelled good inside tho! On their website is says "Walk ups are always welcome" so confused why this isn't the case.
google avatar

Catherine C.

Yelp
We ordered takeout, the pizza was cooked perfectly and was so good!! They had the food ready exactly when they told us and it was so easy to check in and grab our order to go!
google avatar

Chris D.

Yelp
Top 3 pizza in the city of STL. Hands down a must try. Love the option to just walk in, grab a beer and just a single slice. But, I promise you will want more than one slice! Get here asap!
google avatar

Nicole I.

Yelp
Great casual pizza spot. Head to the bar and order your favorite NY or Detroit style pizza with whatever toppings you desire! Both styles are great! Get a beer too! Table numbers are like high school sports trophy's, you'll see! Pick a table and they bring the food to you! Great spot for groups.

Eduvijen G.

Yelp
The pizza was to die for it was ssooo tasty and flavorful ! The staff was super friendly and welcoming ! The ranch is so good with the pizza . The drinks are ok but they are good and get the job done will definitely recommend to anyone who loves pizza and drinks cheers ! 10/10
google avatar

Annie D.

Yelp
Will need to start going all the time! Can't believe I've been sleeping on this place for the last year I've been in STL. It's so close to my apartment! I got the slice of pepperoni with hot honey (of course) and a full order of garlic knots. All of it was AMAZING! They make the hot honey in house and it was such a good balance of sweet and spicy. The garlic knots had garlic butter on top but I'll need to get some on the side next time for dipping. I got it to go but it is attached to a cute beer place and has a few different seating options as well as spots outside.
google avatar

Thanh T.

Yelp
Ordered online for pickup on a friday noght. Needless to say the estimated pickup time was not short! Plan ahead!! The restaurant itself is separate but connected by a door to a brewery/bar. It's small inside with one table for indoor seating so i'd suggest takeout. Showed up at the estimated pickup time and it was ready to go! Got the 18" with half pepperoni and half italian sausage and a side of garlic knots. The garlic knots were a little dense but the seasoning, flavor and cheese on it were perfect! The pizza itself was delicious!!! A little on the greasier side for the pepperoni side. Crust was great. Sauce, cheese, everything! Also probably one of my favorite peperroni I've had on my pizza! A testimate to how goodnit was, I ate it cold and loooved it. And I'm one of the few people out there who does not like cold pizza! But this may have converted me! Def a great place for a classic slice!
google avatar

Grace P.

Yelp
Best pizza I have had here (because it's not super thin saint louis style no doubt...) but the pizzas are LARGE. They are usually busy, so we call our order in and just go pick it up. Last time though, we arrived before the estimated "pickup" time and asked if it was ready and were told "your time is 10minutes from now" so just don't go early
google avatar

Jessica H.

Yelp
Please dear lord bring back the Detroit style. I'll beg if I have to! Truly the best Detroit style pizza you can get in stl (no offense Jets).
google avatar

Christina Z.

Yelp
BEST PIZZA IN STL!! The crust is crispy and not too thin or thick and everything is well balanced. Always get a side of ranch
google avatar

Peter G.

Yelp
When back and had a whole pie. Just cheese, 18", maybe the size of 6 or 8 slices? It was good, really good. IMHO - getting a fresh pizza is the only way to tell what the quality is, slices are fine, but so dependent on when the came out of the oven. The first piece was too hot to get a great taste, but once it cooled off, yummy! I think the crust was the best crust I have tried in St Louis. If we are going to get really particular, I would love a little parmasan cheese in the mix, but the shaker helps heal that wound. I wish the seating was better than picnic tables, but maybe over time? It was a fun scene at the bar next door on a Friday night.
google avatar

TY Y.

Yelp
Excellent NY style pizza! One of the best pies I've eaten in STL, using traditional Mozzarella cheese with a thin crust; it's a basic pie, and you can order slices or whole pie of Cheese, Pepperoni, Sausage or Veggie. Easy to take home or eat it while having a cold brew at Gezellig Tap House (connected) next door. Small place with limited seating, but they will bring your food over to the Tap table too. Overall, 4.5 rated pizza for simplicity and NY style pie, friendly and quick service, and reasonable price. A whole pie costs $18-25, with 8 large slices enough to share; individual slices run $4-5 each, or you can get combo slice and salad. Today we ordered a 1/2 Pepperoni and 1/2 Cheese pizza. Only took ~15 min to order and be served at our table at Gezellig. And it went perfectly with a cold brew!! I had 2 slices, enjoyed the tasty uncured pepperoni, fresh cheese and thin crunchy crust. Large slices were filling so we took the extras home for reheating. Also tried their STL chopped salad, which was enough to share for 2 if you only want a dinner salad portion. If you like NY style pizza, gotta give Pie Guy a try! Enjoy!
google avatar

Dranoel W.

Yelp
Bought an order to go, and was not disappointed. Got a pepperoni, bell pepper, olives and bacon pizza. First time getting a whole pizza. Wasn't disappointed. Big size, and good big slices. Def something to try out if you're in the Grove

Luke M.

Yelp
Great NY style pizza whether you are grabbing a slice or a whole pizza! The service has always been quick and friendly when our family goes on Friday nights.
google avatar

Tucker B.

Yelp
Great pizza located in the Grove! Pie Guy is a great place to grab a slice of pizza and have a beer (it is connected to Gezellig) which makes it very convenient to have a slice and a pint! Definitely check this place out if you are looking for delicious food in a laid-back atmosphere. Pie Guy also serves vegetarian/vegan pizza by the slice options.
google avatar

Owen T.

Yelp
My girlfriend and I love going to Pie Guy. The pizza slices are huge, and greasily delicious. The service is quick and the staff are friendly, you can buy by the slice or by the pie. The ambiance is good as they have one area for ordering and you can take out from there or you can eat in the other area with lots of tables and some amenities.
google avatar

Sara M.

Yelp
This place may be small, but it sure has a lot of flavor! The pizza here is the perfect balance of saucy and cheesy. The garlic knots are done to perfection. They even offer nutritional yeast to add to your pizza (delicious). The place is attached to what seems to be like a "grab & go" beer/drink place, which adds to the overall fun atmosphere. The service here is always good. Will definitely visit again
google avatar

Erica B.

Yelp
Large slices. Made fresh to order. Friendly crew. Great for a chilly, movie night in! Thanks Pie Guys!

Stev T.

Yelp
Ordered a pizza the other day that had flat pepperoni. Was disappointing because they have always had these delicious pepperonis that cupped. Made me feel like I was eating at papa John's instead of a $30 one topping pizza
google avatar

Heidi H.

Yelp
The Detroit style pizza from Pie Guy is top tier. It's so amazing that I've been watching for it daily lately because it's often sold out. I went with the standard pepperoni topping and while simple, it absolutely satisfied! If you get your hands on one, you definitely won't be disappointed! The service was also right on time when ordering online and picking up in store. The only issue is finding street parking for quick pick ups but that is totally out of their control!
google avatar

Michelle L.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try Pie Guy Pizza for a while. It came to my attention that they sometimes make a Detroit pizza and that made it move way up on my to do list. Ordered online and picked it up on a weeknight. It was $33 with tax & tip. So the caramelized cheese on the edges was the best part. This pizza was sadly over baked and under sauced to the point of being really dry. I liked the flavor of the dough but it was just charred. Usually the corner pieces of a Detroit pizza are the best part but these were just dry and sad. The middle pieces were slightly more palatable. Service was friendly for the 30 seconds I was inside to pick up the pizza. Parking is not easy if it's busy in the Grove. Gezellig looks like a cool place to hang out. I will be back to try the NY pizza as that's what they seem to be known for and I've heard it's good.

Tiffany P.

Yelp
The pizza was pretty average plus they burnt our pizza a little. The inside of the building is pretty nice with the art. The employees were attentive.
google avatar

Melaina C.

Yelp
I like that you can get pizza by the slice here. The slices were pretty big. The best thing about the pizza was the crust. It was a super fluffy, soft crust that tasted like a homemade sourdough (maybe?) crust. Other than the crust, the only flavor on the pizza was the pepperoni, which was a bit spicy. I couldn't really taste the sauce or any other seasonings. I think more sauce or flavors would boost this pizza up to 5 stars.
