One of the most spacious and clean hostel I have ever stayed in. The service is great! Plenty of towels are provided, great shower rooms and even a vanity area! The mixed dormitory rooms are spacious with a couch and ample space for everyone as well. Its also a short walk from Kyoto station. Perfect stay! 6/5 stars if i could give an extra for the effort put in by the staff

My experience has been nothing but a great and peaceful journey here in Kyoto. I spent most of my time staying indoors in the hostel. The environment is quite peaceful and the staffs are really helpful and hardworking. The property has everything you could ask for but especially the cleanliness is top notch. It doesn’t feel like an average hostel but it’s something you could find peace at after a long day of hustle. They were really a piece of my journey.

Piece Hostel Kyoto is an excellent choice for those planning to actively explore Kyoto and who value cleanliness, modern amenities in the common areas, and services. The kitchen, showers, and location are truly outstanding! However, if you plan to spend a lot of time in the room itself or ample space is critical for you, think carefully due to the very limited space in the twin rooms, the noisy ventilation, and the potential confusion around shoe storage procedures. We were satisfied overall, but the room size, ventilation noise, and the shoe incident are points worth considering when making your choice.

Thank you Piece Hostel Kyoto! We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying here. Firstly, the location is amazing and staying so close to Kyoto Station was super convenient. The staff are super friendly and helpful and made our stay a pleasant one. The rooms were clean and the bed was spacious and comfortable. Be aware the rooms are small, which is fine, but we stayed here for two weeks and we didn’t really consider how cramped it would get for us. It was a positive experience overall but I don’t recommend staying for more than a few nights unless you travel super light. We made do though and utilised the spacious storage room under the bed which helped a lot. Overall we had an amazing time!

Great location 5/5!! Next to the train station Service 3/5 - forgot to tell us that need to reserve breakfast the DAY BEFORE. Showed up 8am after a 4 mile run to make a reservation (same day) as informed and was turned away hungry. fyi. :( Room 4/5 - A/C in shared dorm only reaches half the room. Had to switch beds. Also internet was slow at times. Otherwise super clean facilities and bed!! With outlet, light, shelf, and hanger.

This hotel is really great and very-very clean. The things is I booked the hotel during Golden Week, so it got crowded but still having a nice stay. Kyoto Station is within 5 mins walks. The kitchen and public spaces really good and nice plus it has rooftop area which you can view the surrounding street from above. Things that I think can be improves are; should added more space in the cabin for bag and things, the lights inside the cabin was to bright and unadjustable. But overall great hostel with great service, accomodation and location. I do really want to have another stay here if I ever visit Kyoto again. But maybe will be upgrade to single room, hehe.

This hostel was very convenient. Location was good, close enough to the sites we were seeing, busses were easy to figure out. Locker system was very easy and convenient to use to store luggage. Room was a four bed (bunks) room for 4 with private bathroom that was ideal for us. Beds were comfy, bathroom good, clean hotel. Shared kitchen space and reading/coffee/eating area that was spacious. Reception is similar to a hotel check in. The place felt more like a hotel, in a good way. Some hostels are more personal and homey, this was modern and hotel atmosphere. No free breakfast, so if you see that on the Google search it is no longer a thing. They do offer a breakfast at the hostel for 1100 yen.

Piece Hostel in Kyoto exceeded my expectations! The location is perfect, with easy access to major attractions and public transportation. But what truly made my stay special was the warm hospitality of the staff. They were friendly, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure I felt welcome. Highly recommend Piece Hostel for its great location and exceptional service!
