Stayed here during my trip to Kyoto, Japan. The location is honestly perfect, just a short walk from Kyoto station. If you’ve ever traveled in Japan, you already know, basically hitting 20,000 steps a day is normal, so the best plan is being able to get back to your hotel quickly without struggle. And this place delivers that convenience really well. The room was surprisingly spacious compared to most hotels in Japan. Even though the bathroom is outside the room, it was super clean and well maintained. They also have a proper dry room where you can blow dry your hair, and yes they provide a Dyson hair dryer (major win!!). In the hallway, you can grab extra pillows and slippers if you need them. Feeling hungry at midnight? Don’t worry, there’s a Lawson right across the street. Really recommend this hostel for travelers. Clean, comfy, and in the best location.

One of the nicest hostels I've ever stayed at to be honest. Extremely clean, common area is super cozy and beautiful, perfect for relaxing alone or socializing. Staff was incredibly friendly too. The location is perfect for exploring in and around Kyoto since it's so close to the station. Especially for the price, you get more than what you pay for. Great experience overall, I will definitely be back!

Perfect location. Just a 5-minute walk from Kyoto Station. The 6-bed room felt just right, and the beds were spacious and comfortable. The common area was well-equipped, and the staff were wonderful. The staff member who checked me in even helped plan my itinerary and pointed out great places to visit, which I truly appreciated. Downside: When I arrived at my bed, I found a pen on it, which made me wonder if it had been cleaned thoroughly. I also accidentally left my earphones on my bedside when I checked out. Unfortunately, when I returned to pick up my luggage, I was told the cleaners didn’t find any earphones. This made me question the thoroughness of the cleaning process. Despite these issues, I would still recommend Piece Hostel Kyoto and would stay again if I visit Kyoto in the future.

Google
Perfect hostel for your stay in Kyoto! The staff are very nice and the facilities are amazing too! Has everything you need and also a perfect location, right next to Kyoto station. Not too far from lots of attractions aswell, especially by train. Would 100% recommend! Also the beds were so nice and soft and everything was so clean!

My stay at this Kyoto hostel was fantastic from start to finish. The location made it super easy to explore the city, and the staff were some of the friendliest I’ve met anywhere. The room was comfortable, spotless, and designed with travelers in mind. I also loved the quiet, peaceful atmosphere after a long day of sightseeing. Highly recommended for solo travelers, couples, and groups!

Excellent location. Very close to a konbini and all transport. Fast wifi. Free coffee. They provide towels and you can change your towel every day. On the 1st floor you can dry your hair with a Dyson hair dryer. There's also a hair dryer (a simple one) in the room. The shower has a shampoo, hair conditioner, shower gel and a garbage bin located very conveniently. There are also swabs, tissues and paper towels. There's a fridge and washing machines for 300 yen (coin activated) and a dryer for your clothes for 100 yen. I would definitely recommend this hostel for a friend

Last minute booking at this hostel. Quick access from Kyoto train station. I have never stayed in a room this spacious in Japan. Amenities like kitchen, laundry, lounges, coffee (I loved the latte so I had it often), gaming, smoking area, balcony, umbrella i had used comfortabaly. Staffs are friendly and helping. Overall building was very quite except that video game event. Day 1: Went to Yasaka Shrine, Nishiki Market at Evening. Day 2: Fushimi Inari Shrine, Arashiyama Bamboo Grove, Day 3: Kyoto Railway Museum, SAMURAI & NINJA MUSEUM i had plan to visit "teamLab Biovortex Kyoto" but that was not opened on that day. In outside of Fushimi Inari Shrine there are some street food like minced meat fried crispy items(i didn't remember name of the food), i tried sushi here (i dont remeber restraunt name). . Take a cycle or ebike for explore kyoto entirely public transporation is not often.

Loved my stay here! Super cozy hostel with modern, stylish common areas. Location is perfect and everyone was so friendly (even though I didn’t chat with anyone, ksksks=)))) The only downside was that the Wi-Fi was a bit slow. Stayed 9 nights and had the best time. Too bad the Hozugawa Fireworks Festival was cancelled this year — I’ll be back next time for sure Sekian terima kasih

Yelp
Truly a great hostel. I found Piece Hostel in Kyoto and saw how amazing the ratings were so immediately picked this one. I got 1 bed in a 8-bed all female room. The room is locked so you need a key card to enter. You leave all your belongings in the locked room. There is 1 small locker to put your belongings but it only fits a small backpack. No one stole any of my things so it was fine. The kitchen and communal area is very very well equipped. Lots of couples were cooking in the kitchen and there's plenty of seating to eat and hangout. The layout of this hostel makes it very appealing for solo travelers because it's easy to just chat with people although not many people did so haha. Restrooms are very clean, all showers are on the first floor. Equipped with towels, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash. You can also buy toothbrushes and other toiletries if you forgot them. My bed was comfortable and you can get more pillows if you need. The first night there was an issue with the air conditioning (it had a noise) so it kept me up a bit at night. It was fixed immediately so other nights were fine. I loved the little curtain that keeps the rooms dark. Only 2 bathroom stalls in the floor I stayed on which was a bit too little but it's fine. They have one bathtub, but when I went in, it was very dirty and had flies everywhere - maybe due to lack of use. The showers were perfectly clean though. Staff here all speak English fluently and it's walking distance from many convenience stores, and Kyoto station which is awesome. Free coffee and tea.

Yelp
Definitely my favorite hostels from all of my travels! Piece Hostel Kyoto's decor makes this hostel look like a very upscale hotel. We stayed in a four bed room, which was spacious and clean. The restroom/sink areas/vanity area is spacious and come with very useful amenities. The kitchen/living room/TV area is very large, with 2-3 TVs, 3-4 sinks, a couple of stove tops and a lot of tables & seating. There are many families staying at this hostel, which you'll definitely see come dinner time and they are cooking dinner - smart travel habit! But there are also a lot of other young travelers here as well. The location is pretty great as well! A couple blocks away from Nishiki market, you'll always be near by a great selection of shops and good eats The staff are all very attentive, hospitable, and very helpful! I am definitely recommending this hostel to everyone I know that will be visiting Kyoto.

Yelp
This hostel is everything a hostel should be! I loved my clean, little and cosy room! Sober interior but nothing wrong with that. Bathrooms en showers are shared. Cool bar/lounge/libary, free tea and coffee and great staff! I highly recommend this place! Breakfast is included and the roomrate is very reasonable :) loved my stay here!!
