Hearty and delicious food! We ordered the goat cheese & caramelised onions and stilton cheese ones. A truly must try combination! To drink, tasty local beer. Kind and helpful staff. Central location. Nice ambience as well.

Sort of unique to Bristol but worth a visit. The Pies were all very delicious and filling with the sides. The menu is a bit confusing to be honest which was unusual for me. They do also do great cocktails too which also went down equally well with the Pie's. Good service and central location. The staff were very friendly helpful and friendly. I would definitely like to visit when in Bristol again.

Can’t go wrong with Pieminister - they make the best pies. Tbh i probably wouldn’t go back to eat them out though , this restaurant isn’t set in the nicest of locations but is convenient. Service was really slow - over 40 mins from ordering to receiving - it’s only Pie (albeit great pies) and mash so not sure why it took so long. Toilets could do with a clean / refresh Pies were tasty but portions of sides were a bit tight , Pie and two sides was better value than the mothership as it came with about 3x the amount of peas on the mothership (mothership comes with a measly sprinkling of crispy onions and cheddar cheese)

Pie was good, wasn't game changing or anything. I visited here after a friend wanted a pie so we decided for a Saturday night, when we arrived it was empty but within 20 mins it was full. The food was quick to come out, gravy was banging and the mash needed more butter and salt. Had a shortbread sundae for after however they run out of shortbread so i went without it which sucked. Well priced though.

I’m not a massive pie person, in fact I really do not enjoy them, but I’d heard glowing reviews of their vegan pies and the This Isn’t Chicken & Bacon one sounded tempting. First of all, the service was impeccable. The man who served us (he had lived in Bristol for 5 years, not sure of his name) was lovely and took the time to speak to us and actually engage in normal conversation. There was also a woman who came across when they were sold out of the parsnip fritters that came with my food, helping me find something else to go with my pie as I didn’t like the other option of peppers (I’m fussy!). We were in and out quickly, which was fantastic as we had a coach to catch, and couldn’t recommend this enough (if you like pies). On the pie itself: it was very filling in every sense of the word, my only notes are that I think the gravy and mash massively let it down – the mash was too dry, like it was missing vegan butter, and the gravy needed to be thicker to give that more homely feel. Overall, don’t knock it until you try it and, if you love pies, you’ll love this.

I had the mushroom pie which was ok. Not amazing, not awful, just ok. I also had the sticky toffee pudding with custard, again it was ok. Service was ok....so all in all, nothing is going to blow you away, but you will leave feeling full. If that's what you need, knock yourself out here! Would I return? Actually when I am away for business, and I need some belly filling food and I am not eating for pleasure, then yeah, I would!

Average pie, good environment and extremely slow service. Waited for 20 for my pie to arrive despite we are the only table with customer. I had to walk over to the counter to pay as the server "forgot" I asked for it. Horrible. It was around 3.30pm on a Fri today.

(Gluten-free review!) We’ve been in England for a week, and my husband and I agreed this was the best meal we’ve had the whole trip (and we’ve had some amazing ones!). I went myself for lunch then brought him back for dinner the same day. I had the gluten-free Moo (steak + ale) pie for lunch and the free range chicken (chicken, ham, and leek) for dinner. He had the non-GF Bleu Moo (steak and ale and blue cheese). WOW. Separate GF menu available, 2 for 1 drinks, absolutely delicious.
