Pieminister

We had the Moo Pie and the Heidi Pie and they were delicious. Very flaky melts-in-your-mouth well made crust, you can see it’s not store bought. Good size for lunch. Wished I would’ve gone either the cold version, just because it pretty hot and we were too hungry to wait for it to cool down. The seller was very nice 😊!

I had a very good hot Deer-Beer Pie. The meat was super hot, juicy and super tender. The pies was all in all very good, not too dry and fresh.

Our first pie in London, and was a very decent one! 🥧 didn’t know what to expect to be honest, and was excited to try one of their famed dishes. Ordered the fungi mushroom, and thought the filling was fairly generous - we didn’t love the sauce though, but it’s probably just us as it’s some form of cream based sauce. While it’s not a dish that we love and enjoy, it’s a good pie for a first try.

BRILLIANT! The Moo&Blue pie is everything that you want to eat before your last breath. Amazing combination of stewed meat and matured cheese in a unique pastry piece. Try it!

This pieminister is located in the Borough Market. The atmosphere and buzz of the market adds to the experience. I tried a Moo and Blue. The pie itself is unremarkable. Not a particularly flaky crust but the flavor was good. There’s some seating nearby and it’s quite enough to have a conversation. There’s also a coffee booth close by if you’re interested.

The Borough Market location is a small stall for takeaway pies. The pies at Pieminister are made with fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. They offer a wide variety of pies, including both traditional and more creative options. Some of the signature pies include the Steak and Ale Pie, the Chicken and Mushroom Pie, and the Vegetarian Pie. Overall, the pies are yummy, filling, and good value for money for the location, and a great food to munch on whilst roaming around Borough Market.

This was my first pie in the UK so I wasn't sure what to expect. The pies really hit the spot so perfectly! I tried two. The mooless moo jackfruit pie was a great vegetarian option. Get it warm because it's worth that extra fifty cents and the pies wouldn't be as good if cold. The moo pie steak and ale option was my favorite. Since all pies are the same price at £5 you should try a couple. If you're hungry two or three will fill you up.

I chose the goats cheese, sweet potatoe and spinach pie. It had hardly any salt in it, so tasted bland. When I asked, I got the response "our vegetarian pies don't have much salt". So if you know this, offer salt for those that request it. It made all the difference, when I found some elsewhere. With salt, it was delicious.
