Excellent location, delicious food, easy parking. Very quiet place on working days in the afternoon, but very busy and good for socialising Fri and weekend evenings. Beautiful place for celebrations or special days Definitely recommend to visit.

Incredible dinner! I'm so thankful they had two absolutely delicious vegan dishes on the menu, I ordered them both and they were perfection. I never wanted the ravioli dish to end. My partner had the king prawns and loved them, too. Took a long time to be seated despite booking but our waiter was lovely. The atmosphere could have been better, there was an event going on and it was open to the restaurant with no sound barrier.

First time at Pier 33 even though we've been yo Mooloolaba many times. The service was friendly and we started with a relaxing cocktail out on the deck. We opted for a lovely bottle of prosecco and entree of the Prawn Spaghetti to begin and then an entree size of the seafood chowder, both dishes were delicious and we were happily satisfied with the portion sizes. Thanks guys for a lovely relaxing lunch experience.

The food was quite good overall, my only issue was that there seemed to be a low understanding of food allergies from the waitstaff, there were several miscommunications regarding gluten contamination and celiac disease. Even the menu was confusing when it came to gluten free options as we elected to have the bugs as an entree since it was listed as gluten free but when it came out we realized that they had been deep fried in a fryer shared with gluten products. In the end we did not have any gluten issues with the seafood block, broccolini, mushrooms or pavlova but you have to be cautious when ordering. Again the food was quite tasty but the allergy knowledge was quite quite subpar and the waitstaff seemed very flustered all evening despite the restaurant being fairly quiet. I would return and still had a really enjoyable evening but some more training and knowledge would bring the good experience to a very good one.

Absolutely superb - we had Mothers Day here and it was so good we returned for Fathers Day! Food was exceptional and the cocktails hit the mark too

Absolutely thrilled with our experience at Pier 33! They stepped in last minute to host our daughter’s wedding and pulled it off seamlessly , we couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful venue or a more professional, caring team. The waterfront views were stunning, the atmosphere elegant yet relaxed, and every detail was handled with grace and ease. The service was outstanding, and they truly made our family and guests feel looked after from start to finish. We can’t recommend Pier 33 highly enough for a wedding , they turned a stressful situation into an unforgettable celebration. Forever grateful!

Letter Written to Pier 33 management. They did not reply. So now im putting this here so they may see it. Dear Pier 33 Management, My family and I attended the Mother's Day Breakfast event at your venue today. We are local residents and are very familiar with Pier 33, having enjoyed a long lunch, our son's wedding celebration, and many other lovely meals there over time. We have always appreciated the venue's ambiance. Unfortunately, our experience today was underwhelming. Upon arrival at the car park, we noticed Mercedes vehicles being promoted, which was acceptable; however, they were parked in the designated disabled parking area. As a person with a disability, that was frustrating and not acceptable We were seated upstairs, and with the inclement weather ( to no fault of yours) requiring the doors to be closed, the atmosphere felt like a bland school dining hall. There was no music playing, and our table lacked even a simple sprig of flowers. While live music might not be expected at this price point, some light background music played from a simple portable speaker could have enhanced the experience. There was a single, small floral arrangement on the upstairs buffet table, but overall, there was a lack of a special atmosphere befitting Mother's Day. Our tables weren't waited on. The breakfast itself included a delicious bacon and egg burger, along with fruits, yoghurt cups, muffins, and croissants. While the food was satisfactory, we were surprised to find that coffee and tea were not included and had to be purchased separately. At $40 per person, it seems reasonable to expect at least tea and instant coffee to be included, perhaps with an option to purchase barista-made coffee. When my son did order and pay for a coffee, it came to the table in a take away cup. This is not what I would expect from a venue such as yours. We also learned that a pancake station was available downstairs, which was not communicated to guests seated upstairs. When I inquired with who I believe was the Manager / owner about the pancakes, I was informed in a rather gruff manner that they were located downstairs. I then asked if waitstaff could bring some upstairs for the large number of guests seated upstairs. Subsequently, some cold & dry pancakes were added to the upstairs buffet, and the Manager did bring some to our table in the end. Finally, the advertisement displayed when we booked (as attached) clearly stated "Mothers Day Breakfast Buffet with Chandon." We were quite disappointed that Chandon was not offered as part of the breakfast as advertised. My husband did actually purchase some Champagne at breakfast and paid for it as he didnt realise it should have been included in our ticket (because our kids had organised this event for us) So overall, we all left very disappointed in our experience. I had hoped this feedback would be taken constructively. We valued Pier 33 as a local venue and hope that future events could better meet the expectations set, especially for special occasions like Mother's Day. In saying that, they haven't even bothered to reply to our email or to explain why we never got champagne.

For a place with many Asian “inspired” dishes, it was surprisingly unwelcoming to Asians. We were given side-eyes throughout our entire lunch, diners and even some staff stared us down from head to toe. Conversations about us were made loud enough for us to hear, even though we were simply there to dine and nothing more. Overall, it was not an enjoyable experience, and I would not recommend this place to people of color. That said, our server was incredible and the only redeeming part of our visit.
