My husband and I love to dine out at various locations on the Sunshine Coast and we decided to try Pier 33 for Valentine’s Day. We both agree that it has made it to our favourite dining experience on the coast so far. The restaurant was lovely, staff were attentive, friendly and welcoming. The ambiance was very nice and the music was at the perfect level so that we could still have a conversation and not be overwhelmed by the noise. The tables were perfectly spaced apart so we didn’t feel like we were squeezed in and sitting on top of one another like many restaurants seem to do these days. The food was lovely. We ordered the grazing surf and turf tower for 2 and there was so much incredible food! The only thing that was a little disappointing were the scallop, prawn and squid skewers as they were a little overcooked and chewy but the flavour was still lovely. We left incredibly full but still ended up taking so much food home which pleased our teenagers! We will definitely be dining here again.

We just had our annual Christmas dinner at Pier 33 and the team could not have given better customer service! The events team were helpful, attentive, nothing was too much and the servers on the night were the same: enthusiastic friendly and great attention to detail. We were meant to be on the western patio, on the water but due to the rain had to be moved inside. The inside area we were given for 24 of us was spacious and private and our entire team had an absolutely brilliant time! We love supporting local business and this is one we will definitely be returning to. Congratulations to the new management on hiring such great staff.

Right on the Marina. We ordered shared plates and it was fresh and delicious. Drinks from the bar so we could get our own. Great spot for a group.

The worst food I’ve eaten out in many many years. Sous vide Chicken was dry and inedible. 3/3 oysters had shell fragments. Calamari was rubbery. The saving grace was the lovely wait staff, the location and the cocktails. Don’t waste your money! $160 lunch poorly spent. Overpriced rubbish!

What has happened to Pier 33…… How times have changed. If I could rate the food less than a star I would. Entree lamb was absolutely horrific, stated it twice cooked but fat not rendered down. And served on the smallest plate. Staff manager corrected with a refund. Scallops were good but cold. Then comes the main course……. Staff were great up until a certain point. Lamb shoulder was good but again, duck fat potatoes were cold. My partner ordered the barramundi. What a disappointment she got a total of 5 bones in the piece of fish, Told management they said it’s not possible as all the fish comes in pre portioned, Told them I took a photo they changed there attitude completely, Offered a cheese cake ($20 on menu) off the menu as a sorry. It came out like a brought in cheese cake with a so called compote, fresh berries (which they later confirmed as to be half a strawberry) On the menu it also stated it was served with double cream, When I ask the manager what is this on the side he stated it was “CANNED” wiped cream. I apologise to staff at the end of the meal for using the bad language, but I really hope the owners of pier 33 take a long hard look at what it used to be, to what it is now.

As a Marriage Celebrant of almost 20 years on the Sunshine Coast I have seen this venue evolve. I am so excited with the recent change in management and staff who are so committed to the customer :) The Chef is exquisite, the coffee is too ;) and I love the new soft decor. They have the largest wine cellar I've seen on the Sunshine Coast with a fabulous selection. If you're thinking of a casual Sunday afternoon, it's perfect for drinks and lunch overlooking the marina.. the sunset is spectacular. If you're thinking of a special occasion meal, it's exquisite. If you're looking at options for a wedding venue, this is where I have a wonderful review to share. There are 2 reception rooms. One downstairs with a garden overlooking the marina, love this room! The upstairs reception room and huge deck overlooking the marina is stylish, private and modern, great food, beautiful views. You can hold your ceremony on site in their Marina Garden overlooking the yachts or choose a beach location or local Chapel. This is the most beautiful venue in Mooloolaba .. loads of parking. I'd give it more stars if I could. Suzanne Riley Marriage Celebrant - Sunshine Coast

I’m so sorry to say, absolutely shocking. Have had to leave a review and this is only the 3rd time I have ever done so! Waited an hour just for oysters to be served. The kilpatricks were served tipped over and on a sprinkle of salt, looked ridiculous! The natural came on a bed of water (ice all melted) with an unappetising vinaigrette - very poor. The mains came quickly after we had complained. Husband’s steak cold and broccoli hard, we actually took the $52 steak home for our dog. Not sure what you could call the massive vessel the wine was served in. Poor service, food disappointing. Not in the same league as Market Bistro, but charging those prices. Won’t be returning.

Our son was married here. Beautiful view of river and yachts. Food was very tasty, served by friendly staff. The young children had blocks to play with on the grass and catered for. The room was cleared for dancing following the reception. An absolute joy.
