"Set in the booming riverside redevelopment zone, with a view across to the historic Speicherstadt warehouse district, Pierdrei Hotel Hafencity Hamburg is as modern a boutique hotel as any in the world: 212 crisp and contemporary rooms in a wide range of sizes, equally well suited to tourists and to nomadic creative types. The public spaces are even more lively than the rooms, and include the eclectic and spacious Kitchens, the clubby Three Fingers Bar, the outdoor terrace bar Piazza, and, best of all, the rooftop garden bar, Moon 46, with its commanding view of the river and the city." - Tablet Hotels

Beautiful property in a great location — the lobby, lounge, and restaurant are gorgeous and beautifully decorated, and the cocktails at the downstairs bar were excellent. Unfortunately, my room was uncomfortably hot for the first five nights, with the thermostat locked at 21°C and no fan offered until I asked a second time. WiFi in the room was too weak to work reliably, and the rooftop bar was closed each time I tried to visit. For the price, I expected better consistency in both comfort and amenities.

The hotel is located right in the heart of the city, the location cannot be beat. There is a parking garage underground, though finding it took a bit of a go around. Then finding the way from parking to the reception is like a maze, a couple of other guests were also confused where to go. The hotel is clean, but keep in mind the 5 star rating is relative to the price. It is relatively a cheap hotel (for these days), especially in that location in Hamburg. Staff are very friendly and helpful. But the hotel isn't fancy, and has a bit of a funky vibe to it. Washroom is basic, but again clean.

Had a great stay here. A bit on the expensive side I felt but the rooms are really good and comfortable. The amenities felt short. No coffee maker/kettle in the room. The entire building premises are welcoming. It gives look of a modern hostel but is a more than decent hostel. Booked a package alongwith Miniature world. Location is also nice. Can be recommended because of the rooms design, cleanliness, good vibes & location.

Pierdrei Hotel has some positives, but overall, it didn’t meet expectations for a family visit. The design is overly eclectic and feels more like it’s trying to be edgy than practical. Rooms are small, dark, and awkwardly furnished. There’s no proper closet, no place in the shower for toiletries and everything has to be placed on the floor, and no in-room coffee or water. Even the cups provided felt more decorative than functional.||On the bright side, the location is excellent—close to Miniatur Wunderland and public transport. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast offers variety, though nothing particularly memorable.||This hotel may suit solo travelers seeking a trendy short stay, but families looking for comfort and convenience might prefer other options.

Google
What a great hotel. We were looking for a place to see the sights before a cruise leaving out of Hamburg. We like upscale places but were looking for a unique but affordable this time to offset a bit of the cruise cost. This fit the bill perfectly. Hotel has a very nice design, is clean and is staffed with friendly employees. Buffet breakfast was very good too. Do know the standard rooms are on the small side but we thought it was cosy. Would return!

This weekend I stayed at PierDrei Hotel Hamburg and unfortunately, my experience didn’t live up to expectations — especially considering the steep price. At €238 per night (excluding breakfast), the value for money just wasn’t there. While the room was spacious, its layout was impractical. A large hallway and bathroom took up most of the space, yet the shower was surprisingly small and came with a basic curtain rather than a proper enclosure. The room wasn’t properly cleaned after the first night — used glasses were left as they were, which was disappointing. The hotel only has a few small elevators, which led to long wait times. Taking the stairs wasn't a real alternative either, as they only let you exit on your own floor — not very helpful when I wanted to visit the rooftop bar. Even then, only one elevator went up to the 7th floor, adding more waiting. The bike rental was another letdown. I’ve honestly never had such an uncomfortable bike: the saddle was painful, and the gears kept slipping. I reported this to reception three times, but nothing was done, and the charge remained on my bill. Other small frustrations: no coffee or tea-making facilities in the room, and breakfast — including coffee — cost an extra €23 per person. All in all, I didn’t have a great experience. The hotel looks good on the surface, but the details and service didn’t match the price tag. Sadly, I won’t be returning.

Google
Hotel looks cute but the rooms are very moderate. ||Dirty carpets in hall and rooms; nowhere to hang your wet towels but in the room. A very low key experience.||The restaurant and bar in contrast was great.

It was better than we expected: 1. Lovely design with many cool things everywhere 2. family room with a hidden kids area and a great sofa-space „outside” the room - fantastic place to spend a time reading 3. Books, games and newspapers in the room 4. Rooftop bar with a lovely view 5. Very kids friendly - they eat for free, have 2 play rooms located on the 1st floor. I think they offer also some activities with animator 6. Tasty restaurant and breakfast with a wide range of food, cold and hot. Quality tea and coffee, delicious bread. 7. We booked a room with a Miniatur Wunderland VIP ticket - giving a chance to enter the museum anytime (otherwise we would have an option to book a spot at 7:30🫣) 8. You can rent a bicycle (also family bike) 9. Great location! Thank you for having us!
