"Quiet and romantic, Piermont is an ideal getaway for those in search of rural respite in one of Tasmania’s more isolated stretches. Sexy stone-and-wood cottages, all with kitchens, laundry facilities, and fireplaces, make holing up easy, but many choose to surface for dinner at Homestead Restaurant, which features a primarily organic menu dominated by locally sourced vegetables, meat, and seafood (sesame-roasted quail; yellowtail kingfish ceviche). And while the overall vibe is relaxed, there are plenty of amenities for guests who want to do more than cozy up indoors, including a swimming pool, kayaks, bicycles, and a tennis court. (Though some polo ponies call the property home, horseback riding isn’t available.) The staff can also arrange for immersive experiences—complete with a packed picnic lunch—from whale watching on nearby Friendly Beaches to hiking Hazard Mountain passes in Freycinet National Park."
The lady who checked us in was incredibly warm and welcoming, which set the tone for a wonderful stay. We celebrated New Year’s Eve at the hotel, and the food and music were fantastic. Despite working on such a busy night, the staff remained happy, upbeat, and genuinely friendly throughout. The complimentary bottle of sparkling wine for our anniversary was a thoughtful and much‑appreciated gesture. Overall, a memorable experience.

Piermont Retreat needs to be seen to be believed! We stayed at the Seaview Cottage and it is so private and secluded with your own little beach access. The view from the bedroom was so good we slept with the blockout open so we didn’t miss it in morning light. You will not regret booking here.
The Homestead restaurant is fantastic too! The food was delicious and very generous. The views are incredible and the staff are friendly. A great way to top off a stay at the beautiful Piermont Retreat.

We spent 2 nights in Cabin 11 at Piermont Retreat and loved the peaceful setting and relaxed atmosphere. The stone cottage overlooks the bay and has a beautiful rustic charm, especially with the fireplace in the evenings. ||Evenings by the fire with a glass of wine were perfect, and we really appreciated the quiet, private feel of the property.|| The natural beauty, comfort and calm made our stay memorable. A wonderful little escape.||Overall, a beautiful and relaxing stay in a stunning part of Tasmania. We’d happily return.

We had an amazingly relaxed couple of days at Piermont. The cabin we had was on the beach and was perfect for what we were looking for. We ate at the restaurant one night and had a welcome platter the other and the food was amazing. Can’t wait to visit again.

I've been staying at Piermont for years, and always so excited to experience the amenities! So much to offer, very secluded and romantic - love having a local wine by the fire after a swim in the pool, game of tennis, or some kayaking when weather permits! A beautiful experience no matter what season!

Stopped by for a late lunch at 2pm and had a wonderful experience. Amazing service and the food and wine was to die for. After a long day on the road it was exactly what we needed! Next time we are in Tassie we will stay here too.

Dropped into Piermont for a cheeky The Obsessionist Malbec Rose and a couple of small snacks. Great wine, beautiful setting and very relaxed. Definitely worth a visit.
