The food is out of this world, the setting is majestic this place deserves a rating much higher than 5 stars. You will not be disappointed. The price is in line with the quality but it's definitely not for you if you are on a tight budget. Try and book a seat on the water deck especially if it's a really nice day. Otherwise anywhere will do, just soak it up and enjoy.

The restaurant is at a winery. Their wine list is extensive. Non of the non-house wines list the vintage on the menu. It’s a non starter. Had to send the waiter back 6 times for the vintage. The octopus in the starter was chewy like leather. It’s just a typical Fish curry with extra Sugar added. Not a culinary achievement. Unless you looking for a good sauce to finish a loaf of bread with. We took a 1 hr nap between the starters and main. And the restaurant was empty. I guess everyone else knows the place has gone to the dogs. The trout ravioli was sent back. The pasta was dry and like a sheet of plastic. The trout was dry and almost impossible to swallow, and sticking to the palate. The lamb cutlets we over fried. Again too dry to swallow. The goat was acceptable but yet nothing to make make a mark The venison was just above acceptable. I actually enjoyed the dish. Checkout the pictures... the food presentation is pretty good... but looks alone doesn’t do it. Beautiful setting

Such a stunning vineyard. Lovely restaurant as well. The food looked great and the presentation was wonderful. The starters and mains we had weren’t as great as we had anticipated; some tasted a little bland. Desserts were excellent! Service fantastic! Kids menu and fun activities were a plus. I would go back!

We enjoyed a warm and gracious welcome when we arrived! ...Jan, the owner, is an excellent host whose attention to detail made our stay at MontMartre Charlets and Guest house most pleasant. The view is absolutely BREATHTAKING!!

This place is absolutely magnificent. One of the best gourmet meals that I have had the pleasure of eating. The place is absolutely picturesque, with a museum as well as a store to purchase their local produce and wines.

This place is exceptional, I had one of my best meals in this restaurant. The food was excellent, the gazpacho was just out of this world, the best I have tasted so far ....every dish beautifully presented and packed with flavor. The outdoor area is beautiful and has a nice and zen vibe. This place is definitely on my top best restaurant list.

Enjoyed a very pleasant lunch on Friday, 3 September. All staff were very friendly and service to notch. Great food and wine, memorable lunch!

Wow what a venue,wines are just beautiful. Never had anything from the restaurant as it was fully booked but the delivery was amazing. Pastries and more. Great breads. A must when in Franschhoek
