"A short walk from Oliwa Cathedral lies the veritable pierogi paradise Mandu. Pierogi are a sacred part of Polish cuisine—a simple dish that everyone remembers from childhood, usually with a hint of nostalgia—and Mandu respects that tradition while also devising new, creative variations. In addition to classics like minced beef with onion and bacon, Mandu serves international versions such as spicy, deep-fried Korean dumplings with pork, tofu, kimchi, ginger, and leeks. Everything here is made fresh to order, meaning you might have to wait during busy times. Instead of getting impatient, use the few extra minutes to watch the skilled cooks work in the open kitchen."

Absolutely delicious, we got 1 set of traditional, 1 set from the baked and 1 set from the dessert! They were quick and the service was lovely. I really recommend making sure to get some of the sweet ones, as they’re so underrated

Great selection of pierogi, all fresh and super tasty! The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, also in English. Highly recommended for anyone who loves authentic Polish cuisine.

Google
Amazing Pierogi here. There are so many variations, even vegan or sweet ones. One portion is a lot so it’s best to share if you want to try many kinds.

Best meal during our stay in Gdansk! Our favorite was the deep fried with soy sauce. So amazing that they have gluten free option on the menu. We were to full to try the sweet pierogi but I bet they are great! Nice friendly staff who’s good at selling ;) it was a little bit loud full of families with children but it felt very local and definitely a sign that it’s a popular place. We had to wait in line a few minutes before getting a table but totally worth it and fast service!

We saw the restaurant online and it was also recommended by one of our Polish friends. We passed it a couple of times and it always had a queue in front, and one night we decided to go for it. Waited about 25 min. The staff was very nice, kept things organized and allowed ordering of drinks when waiting which was great for a warm summer evening. As for the food, it was excellent. One of the best pierogi we had during our 8 day stay in Poland. We were a bit afraid that this place might be a bit overhyped but that wasnt the case. We started off with some soups. I especially liked the cold beetroot borsch, it was extremely refreshing. The waiter recommended some side salads for tge pierogi (coleslaw and kimchi). They complemented perfectly the dishes! We love asian cuisine, so trying these reinterpretet fried pierogi with tofu, coriander and mango sauce simply hit the spot. We saw a great array of both vegeterian and vegan options, so definitely give it a try if you are on a plant-based diet. We really enjoyed dining here, and if we are ever back in Gdansk we will visit it once again! Keep up the great work!!

I am no expert in Polish cuisine, but after 2 weeks in Poland, this was the best meal we had. There are many options, something for everybody. We came back several times, for the food and the atmosphere. There was always a wainting time until seated, but it was worth it. A huge congrats to the staff. Even if it is always crowded, we never felt agitated. Everything is well organised and calm. Not to be missed, if ever in Gdansk area.

Yelp
A delicious meal with an assortment of pierogi. We had white chocolate raspberry, sauerkraut, meat, ruskie and blueberry. Recommend Mandu highly!

Yelp
Terrible service, was trying to make reservation for 10 and person I was talking with was totally not helpful and rude, I guess they have too many customers but with that approach it is going to change very soon I guess

Yelp
Food was delicious, made to order. I had seasonal pumpkin pierogis but there is a great selection of more traditional options like wild mushrooms, potatoes and cheese or meat stuffing.

Yelp
Dang! This place was soooooo good. We made the mistake of rolling up in the afternoon on NYE, not realizing how popular it is, and we were told there would be a bit of a wait. No problem though, because they have a kid's corner with tons of toys. Our kid was pretty stoked and we were glad we didn't have to deal with a potential meltdown. After maybe 30 minutes, we were called and led to table, which was a private corner booth way in the back with enough room for like six people. Seeing the line of people waiting I felt kind of bad, but it was also great to have the space for our kid to stretch out and play. We ended up ordering a ton of pierogi, both vegan (for me) and vegetarian (for my husband). The waiting time was really long, something like 45 minutes to an hour, but it was sooooo worth it for freshmade pierogi. Oh, they were so good! I also got a special beer collaboration they had on offer, and again the beer was amazing. After a couple of days of walking around in the cold exploring the city, it was really nice to spend three hours just relaxing inside and enjoying good food and drinks. I would definitely come again or check out one of their other locations

Yelp
First, ignore the low reviews from IDIOTS who gave a low rating because they don't like pierogies. These are the same morons that low star a pizzeria because they're lactose intolerant. See below for more scorn. First, I arrived at 3pm on a Monday and there was a 20 minute wait. The place was packed. Worth the Wait. Great selection of traditional Polish dumplings, modern cuisine, as well as Latin and Asian fusion. Not a fan of pierogies? They have soup iOs and salads and I LOVED the Zurek- sour rye soup with sausage. Friendly staff and a few English speakers. (English menu available) Everything is made by hand. Check it out. It's great! Other reviews these jerks write: "I was very offended that the bar served alcohol even though I'm an alcoholic." "I've never liked Indian food and I was upset that Punjabi Star didn't have turkey sandwiches." "Terrible service at Jiffy Lube! Just because I don't have a car, they wouldn't give me an oil change!"

Yelp
THIS IS THE ONLY PIEROGI YOU EVER NEED TO TRY!!!!!!! If this is your first pierogi experience, stick to the first three traditional pierogi menu items as pierogi connoisseurs, we were blown away

Yelp
If you're a fan of pierogis (I'm not), you will probably really enjoy this place as the menu is absolutely filled with countless types of pierogi. Located on a quiet side street, I was quite surprised at how popular this place is. It was packed with diners stuffing their faces with plates full of pierogis. The problem I have with the place is that for me, pierogis don't constitute a full meal. So I was looking for something else as the main with the pierogis as the side dish. But I guess if you go to a place with pierogi in its name, you better love pierogis. And if you don't, you're probably going to get sick of the pierogis after about 5 minutes. A good place to come to try pierogis, especially if you love them. But if you don't, you're probably not going to enjoy this place.

Yelp
The Best Dumpling Restaurant in Gdansk!! Absolut! Lots of Dumplings style from all over the world. You can always try different combinations here . Place is a bit hidden, they are not so many Tables avilable during my visit, it would probbly be better if you take the Reservation if you want to come during evening.

Yelp
The dumplings there are just good. You eat way too much as they are so tasty. Especially the Chinkali with so intense flavour of coriander. You can disregard the consumption instruction and eat them as you like and it will not compromise the great culinary experience. Good service.

Yelp
This is my second time at this resto and second visit to Gdansk. There are so many delicious dumplings to try and all made to order in front of you. They also serve a variety of teas that are worth trying. I will be here one more time before I leave - maybe fish dumplings next ! Recommended: boar meat dumplings and sauce.

Yelp
I was really disappointed with this place. It's really hyped up for me and it didn't stood out to the hype. The dumplings were not as tasty as I imagined and I know there are better dumpling places in Gdansk.

Yelp
Excellent homemade (right before your eyes) Polish dumplings! So many varieties it is tough to choose as they offer traditional, yeast baked and exotic flavors. Great interior with a terrific play area for children. Friendly service, incredible and affordable goodness!!!
