Pierrot Café & Restaurant

If there's anything I love about this restaurant, it is both the superb customer service and ambiance. We were there during spring and we were seated at the garden area which was whimsical and reminded of an English cottage garden. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. As for the food, not the best tasting Hungarian food, but they are fairly decent.

Amazing bistro tucked in to Buda castle. This is a must do on your list. We visited for dinner late on 12/25 with a group of 5. There was lovely piano music playing, with attentive staff full of wonderful recommendations. The food was a modern take on Hungarian cuisine. Everyone ordered something different and each dish was spectacular. My only regret is that we did not have enough time to go back and eat there again.

Excellent service, lovely ambiance and delicious goulash! What more could you ask for? Pierrot is Michelin recommended and it shows. The goulash was served beautifully- the beef and vegetables with nipped pasta were arranged artfully in the bowl and the waiter poured the rich red broth into the bowl upon serving it. It was unique and thoughtfully presented. Eating at Pierrot was an experience worth having!

Fabulous food in a cosy pretty setting The staff were wonderful and there was a pianist which made the night.

The atmosphere is unique. I was for many minutes contemplating the wall covered by the celebrities portraits that attended to this magical, cozy and warming restaurant. Definitely the best experience in Budapest in matters of food. Nice selection of wines and the food is very creative, well presented and the staff very friendly and fast to serve you and attempting to all the details. I had an excellent remarkable experience and definitely we would return once we go back to Budapest. I wish all the restaurants on Earth would be same level than this one! Highly recommended. The price is a bit elevated for the area but same that they practice in London, and because the food is really nice, it’s worthy!

An amazing experience as always. Beautiful plates, fresh and savory local food presented in a modern way, professional and very attentive staff. Live piano music, cozy garden, literally perfection! Will ABSOLUTELY be back.

Was here on the 3rd of march 2024. This was the second time after our first time 5 years ago. We had our first date here and celebrated our 5 year anniversary this time. The atmospere is so perfect. Very romantic. The pianist is absolutely wonderful. The waitress is super polite and the food is delicious. We had goulashsoup and salmon as a starter, confit duckleg and pork as main and chocolate mousse and creme brulee as a dessert. We even got a glass of champagne to celebrate our anniversary. It was exactly how we remembered if not better. I recommend everyone to go here!
