Pietra e Mare (Mykonos, Greek Islands) 14 Hotel Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"From the vantage point of a computer monitor, it can be tough to distinguish one Greek island hotel from another. Standard are the whitewashed stucco exteriors, the sunny blue-on-white rooms, the inviting-looking pool, a screensaver-worthy beach nearby. We’re happy to report that Pietra e Mare, a romantic thirty-room hideaway on Mykonos’s secluded southeast coast, is just as lovely in person as it looks online." - Tablet Hotels

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Pietra e Mare, and I can't recommend it enough! The hotel is beautifully designed with modern chic rooms that are both clean and comfortable. Located in a quiet area away from the party scene of Mykonos, it provided the perfect retreat for relaxation. One of the standout experiences was the exceptional service I received throughout my stay. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The bartender, in particular, was incredibly helpful—not only in crafting a fantastic welcome drink but also in assisting with my bags. His passion for his work was evident, and he made some incredible espresso martinis that were a delightful surprise! The views from the hotel, especially from my jacuzzi, were nothing short of phenomenal. Overlooking the sea and beach, it was the perfect spot to unwind after a day of exploring. Overall, Pietra e Mare offers a wonderful blend of beauty, tranquility, and top-notch service. I would return in a heartbeat during my next trip to Mykonos! Highly recommended!

One weeks stay , July. |Location is beautiful, overlooking one of the prettiest beaches in Mykonos. Downside is that it's very isolated , there is literally nothing in Kalo Livadi, not even a small store, so transport is essential - the nearest bus stop is a hard , hot uphill walk of about 30 minutes. Otherwise minimal €50 taxi to town.|Aesthetically the hotel is beautiful, however, our room (33) was poor. Very basic, only a flimsy transparent window blind so room floods with light at sunrise, every other room has wooden shutters. No private outside space. Underneath bed is filthy. 6 hangers for 2 people. One roll of toilet paper supplied. |Outside, nice pool, adjoining bar area which was never manned, apparently if you want a drink, you go to reception and someone comes to bar to serve you(!) Hotel restaurant- on the one day we decided to have lunch, the absolute only available food was - toast or plain crisps (!) |Pool towels are supplied, but this morning they weren't available till 10:30.|Fresh towels forgotten to be left in room twice.|Staff are pleasant but on deciding that we wanted to check out on day 5 of 7 to relocate to a hotel nearer town, we were met with almost stoney silence , a quick check that we didn't owe any incidental payments, and a cursory goodbye, we weren't even asked if we'd enjoyed our stay.

If you can afford it do not stay in the Classic Room (upgrade is needed). We stayed for 2 nights in the Classic Room (no space and no view) I expressed to the staff about not having WI-FI in my room and it was never fixed. The hotel lacked amenities, no stores nearby if you need snacks, drinks and etc. We also stayed in the honeymoon suite (1 night) and it should be nice but the shower head mount was broke so you had to grab the shower head to shower correctly (the little things). The hotel I think is under-staffed, the pastry for breakfast was at least a day old....We got fooled by the pictures on this website. We will NEVER stay at this property.....Ever!!!

We cannot recommend this lovely quiet hotel enough! It was so relaxing and peaceful. It was like having our own private villa in a beautiful location.|From start to finish all the staff were professional and friendly. Maria, Daene, Panos, Effie, Andrew and Michelle made our holiday in Mykonos. Especially Andrew's playlist music in the bar and all their smiling faces despite being the end of the season. They have all worked so hard to make this hotel what it is and do not deserve any negative comments.|The cleanliness, fantastic breakfast and jacuzzi hot tub were fab. Thank you Mykonos Moments for a wonderful holiday.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Pietra E Mare, and it was a truly exceptional experience from start to finish. The moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm smiles and efficient service. The room had an amazing view and it was surprisingly spacious. One of the highlights of my stay was the dining experience. The hotel restaurant offered a menu with delicious options. The breakfast buffet was particularly impressive, featuring a wide array of fresh, flavorful choices. The hotel’s location was perfect, conveniently situated at Kalo Livadi area, ideal if you are seeking for relaxation . Additionally, the concierge service was top-notch, providing excellent recommendations and helping to arrange activities that made my trip even more enjoyable. Overall, my stay at Pietra E Mare exceeded all my expectations. The outstanding service and exceptional landscapes of this accommodation is what made my trip

We spend 4 days there after an offer from Secret Escapes that looked good.|The Hotel had only been opened a week before we arrived (no mention of that in the Secret Escapes offer) and it was DEFINITELY not ready. Lovely bar space but not open. The restaurant was, at best, average (had the worst pizza ever there, as the choice of dishes was limited) and certainly not a 4 star. Short of staff even though the ones available did their best to compensate. Definitely need a car to go anywhere which, in Mykonos, is very expensive. Taxi to Mykonos town 45 euros. Not a lot near by apart of two beach bars/restaurants with high prices. We we recommended to go the Ano Mera, a small village, 20 euros ride away, as the choice of food and atmosphere in the hotel was poor. Lots of touristy restaurants there but not very good. (see restaurant reviews).|Michelle, the manager, was excellent and did her best and so did the two lovely receptionist (both 3rd year students of the Tourist college in Athens, not what you expect for a 4* hotel). The boy that served the food in the restaurant doubled up as drink waiter in the bar ( if you insisted) and luggage handler together with the girl receptionists!!!|Our room was a large suit with an outdoor jacuzzi but needed a lot of work still doing to it.|Perhaps this time next year it will be a good place to stay but Secret Escapes should be a lot more careful what the offer. Not to mention we found out that we cold have had a better deal even directly with the hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Pietra e Mare, and I can confidently say that it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a refreshing welcome drink. The hotel itself is a stunning blend of traditional Mykonian architecture with modern luxury. My room was spacious, immaculately clean, and beautifully decorated, offering breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. Waking up to the sight of the sun rising over the crystal-clear waters was an experience I won’t soon forget. One of the highlights of my stay was the pool, which seemed to merge seamlessly with the ocean beyond. It was the perfect spot to unwind with a cocktail in hand, basking in the serene beauty of Mykonos. The hotel’s location was ideal, offering easy access to the every island location. The hotel maintained a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere, making it a perfect retreat after a day of exploration. The staff deserves a special mention for their exceptional service. They were always attentive, friendly, and eager to help with any request, whether it was arranging transportation, recommending local attractions, or simply ensuring that I was comfortable throughout my stay. Breakfast each morning was a feast, with a wide variety of delicious options, from fresh fruits and pastries to traditional Greek dishes. The quality and presentation were impeccable, and I looked forward to it every day. In summary, Pietra e Mare is a gem in Mykonos. It combines luxury, comfort, and impeccable service in a way that creates an extraordinary experience. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a perfect getaway in Mykonos. I can’t wait to return!

Beautiful boutique hotel with breathtaking views on the sea. Personnel was very kind, efficient and discreet. The room was really nice. Sadly our son had a bad fall on his chin and he needed stitches but thankfully the hotel manager came to our room to check after our son and offered to accompany us to the hospital and pharmacy as we did not have a car. I don't think many hotel managers do that ... so thank you Michelle for your big heart !
