Fantastic stay. Don't let the low rate fool you. This hotel could be 3X the price. The breakfast was top notch (there was an extra charge but worth it). The relaxation spa treatment was nice but the hot tub was just lukewarm. The rooms and entire resort feel super clean. We enjoyed playing padel (40 euros for 4 people including ball and racket rentals) at their well maintained courts. The restaurant is fine dining and very good. Service was very nice. Overall a great experience and highly recommded

The whole environment of the hotel is exceptional. Rooms are spotlessly clean, staff extremely courteous and so polite. Great pool area and breakfast restaurant. Ample parking space. Nothing to complain about. Just a word of advise to check with hotel prior to booking if they will have a function during your stay since this could limit parking and some noise will be expected late evening. Otherwise highly recommended.

The hotel was in a tranquil location and perfect for travelling with electric charging car since it has the possibility of charging electric vehicles onsite at a cost of 15e per charge. Rooms are modern and clean. Breakfast was of good quality. There is an outdoor pool for guest use. Staff are helpful.

The worst hotel in the world—by far I came here expecting peace and quiet, but instead I got a nightmare. Wedding music blasted until 1 AM, the bass pounding so hard it resonated in every room—even on the second floor. When I complained, they offered to “change my room,” but it was useless—the noise was everywhere. At 1 AM they finally stopped, after ruining the entire night. The director, Anastasia, was shockingly aggressive: she refused to listen, refused any compensation, showed zero empathy, and even threatened to call the police. The staff are incompetent, the management is hostile, and nothing works properly in this place. The hotel does not deserve 4 stars. The rooms are basic at best: we found hair in the shower, even saw a cockroach, and overall the comfort is minimal. Honestly, it’s 2 stars at most. ⚠️ Do not book this hotel under any circumstances. It is noisy, poorly managed, and run by people who should not be in hospitality. An absolute disaster. No warning. No solution. Staff shrugged: “Wait for the manager.” The manager? Completely useless, dismissive, and blind to the problem. This is not a hotel—it’s a trap. If you book on a weekend, prepare for hell

Everything was great except for the restaurant manager, whose attitude was appalling. He seemed to go out of his way to ruin our evening - clearly more interested in asserting control over a group of women than providing good service. It felt like he was on a power trip, taking himself far too seriously. Really disappointing behaviour in an otherwise lovely place.

I was impressed by the spotless white linen in the rooms and the cleeanliness of the whole place. Staff were friendly and competent. There are excellent parking facilities and a quiet environment in the countryside.

I am not the type to write negative reviews, nearly never, as i know the sacrifices behind running and f&b operation and the investment that goes into it, but when the staff are rude and top managment do not acknowledge a mistake than i believe a negative review addressed to its staff is needed also to help the owner and investors address their problems . I just checked out of the pietra nere resort with a really negative vibe and beside the money i feel pissed off that i accepted to pay the bill for a real bed service . I will not return even if they pay me if some of their staff and managers are still working there . I have been going to this hotel in Modica when visiting for over 10 years and as i usually do i call direct to check availability and receive a follow up email with payment link to confirm booking . a day before arrival they called me to ask what time i intend to use the spa , and at that point i told them i did not book the spa and did not intend to do so as i was there just visiting for a friend wedding . on arrival when asked by another staff member about the spa i told them I already asked their colleague to cancel the mistake of spa but not worry and i will use the credit at the hotel and did not need a refund. at that point they acknowledged and canceled the spa and was ok until the service by the pool for the food was not great to say the least - 2 hours for a salad and a water . 1 hour until the water arrived. put that aside we laughed about it and still enjoyed the trip and decided to stay on for lunch too and when we came to check out to pay i reminded the receptionist that as her previous colleague at check in the spa was crossed out and should be deducted from the bill. This is when the receptionist went to ask for approval and the big moment arrived . the vice director of something’s… do not know of what, came out and she was trying to fool me absolute fixed rates on system . i told her i do not accept the excuse as i said it before arrival that i did not want the spa. at this point voices became louder and instead of trying to solve the issue she told the receptionist to charge me the full rate, and even told me that i am not welcome there if i did not like it .. anyway even if i would be welcomed i will not return, and whoever asks your place is not one i will ever reccomend . i was ready to accept the bed waiter service and poor food but your attitude is not tolerated . I am sorry for the owner who ever it is as i am sure you deserve better too. the location and the property is good but the service is horrible .

Very comfortable rooms in a well finished and smart hotel. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. One major benefit of this location is the superb top class restaurant with the chef Claudio Ruta, who specialises in using local ingredients from the region. Well worth a visit.
