Very cool concept and well curated space. This was on the wine tram experience (pink line) while not specialised in wine, it’s a animal sanctuary with some drinks available. The place is nicely setup and there are quite a few animals wandering around the property (all of which were rescued). A nice experience but not exactly a wine experience.

This is the end of the winery train. Wine tasting at the farm is a very special and interesting experience! The stay time is about 2 hours. If you are looking for a winery itinerary with exquisite taste, this is the style of the rural route 🤭

Not a vineyard... The wine was average at best and the one member of staff struggled to keep control of the animals let alone provide a sitting. However we ended up having a great time with all the rescue animals.

Not a typical wine farm, which makes it so special. Enjoyed discovering this little gem. The animals look very content.

I'm not sure what exactly I was expecting when I visited here but we ended up having a ball with all the rescue animals. It's a sort of petting zoo for grown ups with many thought provoking videos and information boards. The videos of Pigcasso and Baaanksy painting are delightful. I was really struck by the owner's vision.

The farm is nice and very laid back. The staff were kind. However, we were expecting to see more animals but we enjoyed our playtime with the puppies.

My boyfriend took me here on our 2 year anniversary and I can honestly say it was the best day of my life! It’s incredible and the animals are very friendly and happy. I’m an animal lover so to see them all happy and how amazing Pigcasso was is incredible.

I was very excited to visit this sanctuary. However, I was quite disappointed. They have a barn for the main building with many inside and outside seating. I was looking forward to taste their wines, and told the waiter that I don’t have to ask if your wines are vegan, right? The answer was…. They are NOT vegan. So here I am at a farm animal sanctuary that makes money off of exploiting farm animals… all of us (including my non-vegan friends) were shocked. Despite all the big words around the barn like compassion, less meat more kindness, etc… There are many farm animals at the “sanctuary”, hopefully all of them rescued from the horrific meat & dairy industry. But this is more like a petting zoo. Visitors can buy a box of veggies for R100 to feed the animals. At least, if the animals choose to, they have more than enough space to distance themselves from the humans. I don’t think that any of the visitors leave more educated or considering their cognitive dissonance.
