This place is absolutely amazing! Not only do they offer very good wine, but also a total different and absolutely good vibe! You can even feed the animals there! I am very glad we visited, it really gave the end of our wine tasting day a special and positive boost, thanks to the people but also animals there

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I had the pleasure of visiting Pigcasso at Elandskloof Road in Franschhoek, and it was absolutely wonderful. The sanctuary is genuinely inspiring — you can feel the love and care that goes into looking after the animals, and the whole place has such a warm, positive atmosphere. On top of that, they offer a small but incredibly tasty wine selection. Every wine I tried was excellent, and the prices were surprisingly good, especially for Franschhoek. I also want to mention the gentleman who assisted me during my visit. He was kind, gentle, and genuinely hilarious — his personality added so much to the experience and made the visit even more enjoyable. If you’re in the area, this is a must-visit spot. Beautiful surroundings, happy animals, great wine, and wonderful people. Highly recommended! 🍷🐷💚 ⸻

This place is a gem, offers more than just wine, the all round experience is excellent, and could not recommend it more! Was our favourite of all the places we visited. Can feed the animals, get great coffee and wine, what more could you want!

Very cool concept and well curated space. This was on the wine tram experience (pink line) while not specialised in wine, it’s a animal sanctuary with some drinks available. The place is nicely setup and there are quite a few animals wandering around the property (all of which were rescued). A nice experience but not exactly a wine experience.

This is the end of the winery train. Wine tasting at the farm is a very special and interesting experience! The stay time is about 2 hours. If you are looking for a winery itinerary with exquisite taste, this is the style of the rural route 🤭

Wow was this an experience we weren’t expecting to have during our Franschoek honeymoon! We loved every second with the animals and were so awestruck by the Pigcasso and Baanksy story that we ended up buying a painting! Definitely not a stop to miss!

This was our last stop for the wine tram with the pink line. It was a very nice and special place where animals get a nice second home. Ray, the farm manager was very nice and explained us how the animals get to the farm and how they can spend the rest of their lifes there. Definetly worth a visit!

I'm not sure what exactly I was expecting when I visited here but we ended up having a ball with all the rescue animals. It's a sort of petting zoo for grown ups with many thought provoking videos and information boards. The videos of Pigcasso and Baaanksy painting are delightful. I was really struck by the owner's vision.
