"Stretched out from the northwest corner of the island like a small arm, Pigeon Island is a historical landmark and a satisfying all-in-one nature, beach, and hiking escape minutes from Rodney Bay Marina. The 44-acre mountainous green plot is home to the preserved ruins of British military forts and garrisons; theBrits chased the Caribs out and used the islet to monitor French activity. Walk among the ruins, and hike up to the cannons of Fort Rodney, where the lookout point offers a breathtaking panoramic view of St. Lucia's coastline and the sea below, dotted with sailboats. Hike down to the beach for a swim and a toast to history at Jambe de Bois, a restaurant on the water."

Great area for a quick hike if you’re staying nearby. Or spend the day and enjoy the private beaches.

This was a little bit underwhelming and a bit of a money grab. Firstly the trails are very difficult to navigate if it's raining, so take your time. The views at the top are probably better when it's clear. The view of the harbor is nice. Plenty of parking next to the public beach area.
The thing that rubbed me wrong was the entrance fee allowed us access to the park, but did not let us use the chaise chairs on the beach. You needed to pay another fee to use the chairs...very strange. Instead, why not just add a little more to the entry fee and not charge for chairs. Seemed very silly and the guy that told us was rude about it.
I mean it's a chair and there is 50 of them and not a single person is using them. It just seemed a little short sighted and underwhelming. The beach was fine, however the sediment in the harbor makes it very low visibility for snorkeling.
Based on the many places we visited during our trip to St. Lucia this by far was the easiest place we could have skipped.

A beautiful park/historical landmark. There is an easy hike to Fort Rodney. There are two overlock spots nearest the entrance. They are a power and upper level. Walk the stairs to the peak and you will not regret it. The view is magnificent!!!! It's 10usd for non residents. They take case only. Then go to the beach next door.

$10 entry, they take credit cards. Lots of good hiking and history. Connects to the beach as well.
