We were a group of 17 people,( if I am correct in remembering.) Most of us (if not all) stayed in this hotel for 3 nights. My husband and I had a room on second floor, with two separate beds of good quality. No big room but quite enough for two people with two separate beds, a writing table , one or two chairs and a tv. We were mostly out of the room all day long, looking around in Sortavala, going to the old Valamo etc. However, we had dinner at the restaurant that is part of the hotel, alltogether 3 nights and we are pleased to tell that we liked the food we got. The meals were varied and nicely served. The stafff were polite and many of them understood some Finnish, but also English.||Our bathroom was rather small, but was well equipped with shower, hairdryer, shampo, towels etc. In the basement there was a sauna you could use if only you asked for it in time. I did not use it but some of us did and they liked it.|| Free Wifi, a roomy convenient parking place for cars. The hotel lobby was cozy and was at times used as a group room when our goop gathered for going out. || There is free WiFi. In summer the outdoor terrace must be very fine. Now we had relatively fine wether, but not warm enough for sitting outdoors. The hotel is on the shore of a lake, probably part of Ladoga, although viewed from the hotel it looked more like a small bay...
