PIK-NIK Deli + Wine Bar

When PIK-NIK first opened I was hooked on the Theo’s Roast Beef sandwich. The peppercorn horseradish and the crispy fried onions really add that perfect crunch and flavor! Now I also really love the Turkey Apple Brie sandwich and the Italian Sub! Best Italian I’ve ever had!! The Spicy Shrimp Wrap also hits the spot if you love some heat! Really gonna miss this food now that we’re not living in Rockport!

This was our first time coming & we will be back! The food was amazing. The bagels have the perfect chewiness. The banana pudding, close to heaven! The music is the perfect level. I just can't say enough good things about this place. The service was great as well. If you haven't been, check it out!

Fun little restaurant in Rockport good food, unique unique combinations. It was nice that I could order the sandwich in there able to make it into a salad. The butterfly tea with lemon was cool when you could see the lemon changing it from a blue color to purple about eight tables insideI can imagine when it gets busy. The parking lot a little bit tight overall pretty good food good flavors. I definitely would recommend and I’d probably go back when I come back down to Rockport.

Very great dining experience this morning! Our hostess was very friendly and the chef was nice. The food was good, and I'd recommend the BLT, cinnamon rolls, and the banana pudding. I enjoyed the atmosphere, and the musical selection. Overall I'd recommend this place and will come again when I am on vacation.

This place is amazing! Definitely a gem in Rockport, I had the chicken salad croissant, definitely the best chicken salad I’ve had! My husband had the turkey Brie sandwich and it was amazing, and the cinnamon roll with pecans omg, that is a must! 💙a lot of history in the restaurant building really liked everything!

This is my favorite place for breakfast, brunch, lunch, wine tastings & dinner! 🍽️ anytime really! We take our friends here when they visit & they love it too. We enjoy that the food is always fresh & healthy choices. The vibe is welcoming & snazzy.

Absolutely phenomenal! Loved the atmosphere in here. The staff were very friendly and fun to talk to, and were very quick with the drinks and food. I was taken care of by Christianna who was an absolute gem. My husband and I split the classic Italian, and let me say it had to be one of the best subs I’ve had in years. Would definitely recommend and we will be coming back!

Down in Rockport visiting some friends and we wanted to try out something new than none of us have been to before. This place is so awesome! The staff were friendly and helpful with making suggestions about what to add to our sandwiches. The wife got the Philly cheesesteak while the spicy shrimp wrap caught my eye. Both were out of this world! Do yourself a solid and get to PIK-NIK for some good grub. They also have a large selection of wines to choose from.

New-ish spot in downtown Rockport serving breakfast, lunch and selling packaged goods including olive oils, cheese, crackers etc. The dining area is small but had a lively lunch crowd when we dropped in on a Tuesday. Food was good with lots of items that read well. We had the caprese toast, crab and shrimp salad and Hipster grilled cheese that came with ham, arugula, Muenster cheese on Texas toast. A full meal. Wine and beer selections are limited but with intention and well focused. We will be back when next in Rockport. Give them a try.

Took a friend visiting from Austin early on a Friday. Place was packed had to wait patiently for a table after placing our order. No problem, found one real quick. Shared the Pik-Nik Chicken salad on a ciabatta so very yummy. Also purchased a side of basil pesto bow tie pasta, really good. And for dessert we shared the Banana Pudding. Pretty good stuff all wrapped up in a petite historical building. Really love the ambiance even has small outdoor covered patio (side of the building). Friendly, fast service

Pik-Nik was a surprisingly charming find in Rockport. Set in a historic building, this restaurant offers fresh, unique sandwiches, soups, and other items. There is also a large array of wines. The young lady who welcomed us and explained the menu was so welcoming. Though not large, the space was cute and felt comfortable to sit and have our lunch. They will also fix you a specialty picnic basket to take to the beach.

Love this place!!! I've never had a bad meal, or glass of wine, here. Shared the turkey brie sandwich and the pear arugula salad with hubs today. Previously had the turkey but and hubs had the roast beef. Everything was amazing. Sandwiches are more than big enough to share!

We ordered variety of sandwiches and they were all delicious. I would have thought it wouldn't be so busy at 1:30 but it was packed. Room about 45 minutes to get our food. Cute little place.

Generous portions, food is very fresh and bursting with flavor. The vibe is casual, market place. Herbal teas and wine, and there is always a fresh jug of cucumber, lemon water. Grab your cup and fill it while you wait for your food. We live in San Antonio, but when we come to Rockport this is a must stop, even if it is the only time we eat out we choose PikNik. I had the spicy shrimp wrap and my hubby had the turkey apple brie sandwich, both soo good! We will be back.

What a *gem*! We discovered Pik-Nik towards the end of our Rockport vacation and I only wish I would've found it sooner! We had lunch one day (Italian sub, grilled cheese, grilled pear and arugula salad) and everything was fantastic! So fresh and a wonderful combination of flavors with each bite! We had breakfast the day we left (quiche trio, everything bagel, cinnamon roll, fresh-squeezed orange juice, caramel vanilla latte, and an americano). Breakfast was equally as delicious! Everyone was very kind, the atmosphere was relaxed, it was very clean, and there was an outdoor patio that is dog-friendly. Lastly, they serve breakfast all day!! We will absolutely be back next time we are in town.

We were in Rockport for the weekend with family. We wanted some light sandwiches. The special was chicken salad. It was very fresh! All the sandwiches were good, the service was quick and friendly. The restaurant was very cute and trendy.

Best food we had while on our latest trip to Rockport. We decided to live a little and get several different things. Wine was very good, we let them choose what would pair well. The ahi tuna spring rolls were incredible and I'm still thinking of them. You will definitely need a fork to eat them though. The watermelon salad was super yummy (it does contain cashews which we enjoyed). Both soups offered were great and you can't go wrong with either. The green chili pork was good, but we did wish there was some salsa for it. The pasta salad was the most basic thing we got and would skip it next time. Our only complaint, but wouldn't keep us from coming back, were the chairs. The short chairs are fine, but the tall ones are not old person or curvy person friendly. They are pretty flimsy plastic and the tall ones that swivel will take you for a ride at the rodeo. Will most definitely be back.

The food was delicious! I loved my turkey avocado BLT!!! The butterfly pea tea, was very fun to do, and taste! The service was amazing and fast, kind hearted people, the seating and whole ambiance of the place is very cozy and modern such a great place! Would DEFINITELY come back

I had the Theo's (roast beef peppercorn horseradish sandwich) and the Ahi Poke Springrolls. The sandwich had the perfect amount of horseradish to compliment the beef and the spring rolls (wrapped in zucchini) were truly inspired. A great choice when you're trying to get away from the deep fried options in the immediate vicinity

The only KIND SERVICE we've received in Rockport. We're heading out front a trip to Rockport Beach, and PIK-NIK didn't LOOK opened. We had just tried 2 other local breakfast spots, and both of which were either closed on Sundays or 'PERMANENTLY CLOSED' WEARY OF our searching, I quickly searched yelp for 'near by breakfast places' . My husband drove towards the Rockport downtown, and eventually we found PIKNIK! My husband pulled all the way up to the front to see the hours sign , My son got out of the car and jiggled the handle.. IT WAS OPEN! We quickly parked and woddled in (sunburned and stiff) as the door jingled open I entered a gorgeous cafe! With the smooth black and white aesthetic, and the clean tables and floors I KNEW THIS WAS our place to end our trip! There were 3 kind smiling ladies inside ready to serve us. They invited us in, told us to take our time and sit where ever we feel cozy! I'll come back here EVERY BEACH TRIP in hopes they stay opened. Thank you for your clean gorgeous Paris cafe coffee shop vibe, and your kind welcoming smiles. What a quaint little deli! Four tables inside, a lounge room, and a bar for seating, plus several tables on the patio. Extensive menu, all items available all day. Sandwiches, soups, salads, beer, wine, tea, flavored water... Also, salads and such to go as well as croissants, danishes, cinnamon rolls... Mercy me! We just ate there for lunch today, and the portions were quite large. Hubs got the classic Italian sandwich and I got the turkey avocado BLT. Somehow he ate all of his, took 1/2 of mine back to the rental house. Everyone working there was so kind - it's no surprise they were so busy! Would heartily recommend. Will return soon.

While visiting Rockport with my parents, we decided to try PIK-NIK out for lunch. My mother has Alzheimer's and we try to avoid stairs for her, so we were very pleased to discover that they also have ramp access into the building. It is decorated beautifully inside with live plants and feels very cozy. The food was amazing as well as the service. I noticed one of the chefs was assembling these super cute packages and was intrigued, so I decided to ask her about it. She told me they had made white chocolate bark with espresso crumbles. As I was walking away, she called back to me and offered me a piece to try. It was so kind of her and absolutely delicious. This place is a new gem that we will recommend to friends and family for many years.

We came in Wednesday night and ordered some food. The service was good and the food was even better

Service is awful. We waited forever for a couple of sandwiches, only to find out the order had been sitting on the counter. They knew we were there with 4 little kids, all who were quickly growing impatient, and they didn't call out the order or hand it to us. I even said "we have been standing right here the whole time, it would be really nice if you'd tell us it was ready." All the staff ignored me and no one apologized. That's fine, we will take our business elsewhere for the remainder of the trip.

The service is terrible. If you try to call in an order you are simply left on hold while they take orders there at the restaurant. The prices are not consistent with the quality of food. Honestly, Duck Blind has better sandwiches.

Very well put together spot that does its predecessor justice. Great bagel sandwiches, and some tasty salads. The vibe is great and there is plenty of variety. Swing by.

Great service and great food! I wish we would have taken pictures but we got the food to go and just grabbed quick bites but they were delicious. Theo's roast beef sandwich had the tastiest horseradish sauce and the turkey and brie was nice and refreshing with the apple butter giving a good bit of sweetness and the apple a tart crispness. Poke spring rolls were good as well. If you like iced coffees I would definitely suggest the honey bee latte (not 100% sure that's the exact name). Strong but sweet and creamy. I loved getting the occasional bits of cold honey. Will definitely be checking out more menu items next time I'm in town!

Great food and friendly service. Perfect combo for a restaurant! We had the roast beef, tomato soup and grilled cheese, and devoured it all! Def coming back again!

Just off the Main Street. Wonderful atmosphere, service, and healthy food options. Staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Salads and desserts are displayed in deli cooler for you to see.

Been twice in less than a week. Love the chicken salad croissant sandwich. Cute little lunch spot with friendly staff. Walk up to order and they bring you the meal. Limited indoor tables but has a pretty large bar you can dine at and then outside picnic tables with umbrellas. The decor inside is updated and cute. Def a go to spot while in Rockport. Can't wait to try other stuff on the menu but it's soooo hard because the chicken salad is just that good. Need to venture there for breakfast too. 10/10.

They are no french fries. The root beer is good. Their chips are good, but overall, I'm giving it one and there was a very long time for service. Nice people around.

I want to start off by saying my wife and I have eaten here once before and had a really good experience. The environment itself has a really cool vibe and the service was good. Today we made a to go order of the Philly, Italian sandwich and the poke spring rolls. The Italian sandwich was ok, good flavor but the lettuce on the sandwich didn't seem like the best quality but I could chalk it up to it being a to go order. The poke spring rolls were really good. The Philly however was anything but good. The meat tasted like it had been frozen and then heated up. She had a couple of bites and we decided to just share the Italian and spring rolls. I am still hopeful of this place but this trip was not the best.

We found this place by accident wandering the old town part of Rockport. It was mid-afternoon (not yet time to eat, etc.) so one of us went in to ask for a menu to go so that all in our party could consider returning. The place is really cute, and seems to do a significant take away business, but they had no menus to go. (Also, their website menu is insufficient to make choices - we even checked that later, and gave up.) We did glance at a laminated menu - there were a few vegetarian options (although disappointed to see the grilled cheese comes with meat in it, instead of being an add on option). When we go back to Rockport, we might try again...

We absolutely love this little gem in Rockport. It is on a corner right off the main shopping street/Austin Ave. The inside is precious with a few bistro tables and a wide bar for seating. Order at the counter and they bring it to you. The arugula and pear salad is a favorite. The roast beef sandwich is really full of meat and tender. If you're lucky enough to get their chicken salad before they sell out try it. They also offer charcuterie boards and picnics on the beach or parties. The lovely owners, Gen and Darrell, definitely aim to please. They offer fun events like beer and wine tastings as well.

very yummy! we got the hipster grilled cheese with tomato soup and a turkey apple brie sandwich. they were both flavorful and good portions for the price :-) you order and pay up front and can either sit down and eat or take it to-go. the inside of the restaurant is so cute and i will definitely be going again!

The atmosphere was very nice. The food looked good, but extremely bland. I had a chicken salad on crescent and the portion was good, but no flavor. Bought crab and shrimp salad and the crab i believe was fake crab and was very bland. No herbs or spices in either order.
