"Write On at Pike St. Press Looking for some unique postcards to send home? Pike St. Press is a letterpress studio and gift shop where you can choose from letterpress cards and paper, pens and pencils, notebooks and art prints, or commission your own custom business cards or wedding invitations. The small but inviting shop is down on the waterfront, at the foot of the Pike Place Market Hill Climb. We like the thick, thirsty paper coasters printed with an illustration of the Space Needle ($8 for a set of 8)."

Sticker babes - this is a must! They have the most impeccable sticker collection. They also have super cute notebooks that feel so soft. We also enjoyed browsing the huge card collection and all of the writing/drawing utensils. Staff are so kind. This is an experience and a must visit. This shop is super great for gifts and happy to see I can order all their goodies online.

Google
The Pike Street Press is a fantastic place to pick up some memorable stickers and cards from Seattle. I am so very happy with the cards we purchased; they are fun, unique and well made. I highly recommend if you are a person who likes sending cards to friends and loved ones.

I used Pike Street Press' services to design my wedding invitations and it was an incredible experience. Victoria was very helpful in making my vision come to life. I wanted our cards to be very Seattle themed since most of our guests were from out of town. She was very responsive, incorporated feedback well, and made great suggestions to have the final product shine. We had a lot of compliments from our guests as the invites got sent out. The final invitations were delivered in a timely manner. I would recommend their services for any event!

Google
Super cute little store full of printed-right-here letterpress notecards, prints, etc plus lots of other desk/stationery goodies, writing and drawing implements, gifts for kids, PNW gifts, stickers, T shirts, and more. For the things they make, the designs are great and feature a mix of themes and feels so you’re likely to find something appropriate for what you need. It’s pretty cool to see the letterpress machines right in the store, too. I always stop here when I am in the area and stock up on a few cards- one of the better places in the area to do so!

Google
I visit Pike Street Press every time I go to the waterfront or the market. I love that this store doubles as a letterpress workshop and that you can almost feel a part of the process here. There are hundreds of hand made cards here, as well as beautiful posters, notebooks, apparel, stickers, and more! I cannot wait to someday use their custom printing service - the wall of print commissions is one of my favorite parts of this shop! Everything in this shop is a true work of art, and everyone can find something they'll cherish!

Google
I'm a printmaking nerd, so this place was an exciting stop for me. The workers were incredibly friendly and great to chat with. Can't wait to hang up my new print!

Google
Stopped by because the store was on the way to Pike’s Market. 1) guy working (owner?) didn’t even greet us despite us being in the store for at least 5 minutes. very dismissive and unwelcoming. 2) after paying we requested just a small bag to put the postcard we bought in and he threw the bag across the table. honestly a disappointing encounter and such bad attitude.

Google
This place was on our list to visit for the AIGA conference. So worth the stop! Very friendly staff, old letterpress, cute cards, shirts, prints for locals and tourists alike. For a design typeface nerd, this place is even more awesome.

Yelp
My first and only negative review :( I'm disappointed to say I had a very negative experience here. I'm an artist who makes cards and I was looking to have one of my designs printed in bulk. I needed them expedited because it was a last minute job I was commissioned for, and I said that I was willing to pay whatever to get the job done in time. First, I talked to a very nice young lady over the phone who told me that they could accommodate me and told me to email over my scanned design. I emailed them and got no response, so I called again a few hours later to see if they received my email. A gentleman answered the phone, and I kindly explained my project to him and that I was in a rush to get them done, and again, was willing to pay any fee to have my project expedited. In return he was condescending and for whatever reason acted as if he did not want to help me in any way, and talked to me like I was an idiot. He essentially brushed me off and told me to email my scanned design again, which I did, and again I got NO RESPONSE. Super frustrating and awful customer service. If my project isn't something you can do, then why not just say that? Rather than acting annoyed and just not responding? Bizarre. I ended up using a different printing company and will not be going back. Pretty disappointing because I was excited to work with Pike Street Press. Oh well ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yelp
Cutest little store, I got a postcard and a birthday card. Fairly priced for something so unique! Well worth a visit.

Yelp
Great little shop with a variety of gift/souvenir options. I purchased a few cards here as well as stationary items and some stickers. It's kinda hidden and I love the mural that's located right outside (great photo op!). Overall, it was a great experience!

Yelp
What a cute little shop just off the waterfront and near Pike Place Market. I absolutely love stationary stores and this shop didn't disappoint. They have a bunch of paper goods: cards, stationary, journals, etc... Many of them are hand made, local, and PNW inspired. It looks like they also do some custom printing as well, although I didn't inquire about that. The shop itself doesn't have a lot of room, but there's enough to move around comfortably and check everything out. Some of the journals they had were really cool and would think they would make an excellent gift for someone. Definitely worth checking out before you had up the steps to the market.

Yelp
Nice little hidden gem near Pike Place Market. This came recommended on some YouTube video I saw before my trip to Seattle. This little shop has everything from stationary to cards to Seattle merch for the tourist like me! They also have a printing service located toward the back of the store. Upon walking in, I was immediately greeted as I headed towards the stationary. I ended up purchasing a Seattle themed tote, pens, & stickers. Prices were unfortunately on the high end, but that's what's to be expected in that area. Would love to come back on my next trip to Seattle!

Yelp
My friends and I were wandering around Seattle and we happened upon Pike St. Press. We were immediately drawn in by the exterior. This is definitely a great place to get unique cards, stickers and other souvenirs. It was very easy to get wrapped up in all of their offerings, but unfortunately we were in a bit of a rush. I bought a cute little notebook for a very reasonable price. I was definitely expecting it to be much more expensive. While this was an unexpected stop on our Seattle trip, I'm so glad that we stumbled upon Pike St. Press. I definitely recommend stopping by if you have the time.

Yelp
Went in to get an estimate on a print job. Was handed their card, told to go and put what I wanted in their website and they'd get back to me. They overspent on their "Open" sign if they want to be an online business.

Yelp
Great little shop! Wish it had been a bigger store but that's just me. I love a small shop like this. Staff wasn't most friendly but didn't bother me.
google avatar

Catherine W.

Yelp
They have the funniest cards!! I was laughing in the store and sending them to my friends
google avatar

Stephanie R.

Yelp
I bought some cute postcard prints here. There were tons of options and they were well-designed. The prices were good (I think about 3/$10?). Lots of options for art and things that aren't your typical souvenirs. Also great for gifts.
google avatar

Cath M.

Yelp
Being the designer that I am... my eyes are always wondering and searching for typography and signages and saw their sign when we were walking down to the waterfront. I was hesitant in going since they didn't look very welcoming on the outside... seriously, the place was so hidden and not quite sure how they'd react to a tourist but I braved the dilemma in my head... walked in... no one was there besides the staff. Instinct wise, I wanted to take pictures but I respected their privacy since it does involve "design". I ended up getting a Space Needle card and a cute and of course orange "live inspired" notebook. Prices were a bit steep but that's normal in the printing / paper making industry. Thus... if you're a designer and or into art... well worth checking them out. Their art is phenomenal!

Yelp
The lady in the store is very mean and impolite. When I was there. A old lady came in to the store and asked her whether she have postcards with photos. She was like: what's postcard with photos. Come on! Are you really don't understand what that old lady talked about? Then the old lady said, I want to buy a postcard for my grandson. And the lady in the store showed her a "why should I care" face. Horrible person!

Yelp
Great shop but none of the employees were wearing masks. I'll come back once they follow health protocols because their products are fantastic but I don't want to support a business that places their employees and customers in danger.
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
I wanted to buy everything here - shirts, pens, journals, cards, pins.. great gift store. All super cute stuff.
google avatar

Melanie Y.

Yelp
Super cute little place with a lot of cute cards and a Seattle must visit! We stopped in looking for some stickers to take home with us and so glad we stopped in. Had some cute shirts as well. Looked like they did custom work to. The people were really nice too.
google avatar

L A.

Yelp
I loved this place, all the unique handcrafted high quality cards are made here and I bought them both as souvenirs for myself and to send to others. Don't miss this place! It faces the waterfront and is not in the main pike market shops. But definitely worth seeking out.
google avatar

Emily G.

Yelp
What a cute hidden shop! Located just below Pike Place Market, this was a great place to browse as I walked down to the waterfront. So many beautiful prints, cards, stickers, and other souvenirs. Definitely a must-visit for tourists and locals to pick up some PNW mementos!

Yelp
Came here to check out wedding invitations. Super rude employees who really didn't want to deal with us unless we had a mega budget. I don't appreciate being treated like a second class citizen just because We're not looking to spend $$$ on wedding invitations. Lots of cool stuff in the store, but after that experience I'll never be back for even a postcard.

Yelp
Pike St. Press is a shop at the bottom of the Pike Street Hillclimb that sells letterpress cards and stationery. Some of the card designs are made in-house as you can see a printing area in the back here. If you are looking for an alternative to the usual American Greetings and Hallmark cards, Pike St. Press is one of the places to check out. They have greeting cards for numerous occasions including baby, thank you and wedding cards. I noticed some of the designs were made by card markers in LA and Portland. The cards here are similar to what you would find at Paper Source in Bellevue. I visited the shop looking for a baby card. The selection was okay, not great. Some of the cards seemed too plain for my tastes. The cards are a bit pricey too. $6 for a card is a bit high. But considering that these cards are made in limited batches, it is understandable. And if you are willing to overlook some imperfections, they do have a box full of irregular cards sold at a discount here. If you are looking for a special occasion card that stands out from the mainstream fare, check out Pike St. Press to see if they have what you are looking for.

Yelp
Pikes St. Press is my go to for unique and high quality greeting cards. Everything is handmade and beyond cute. They offer custom printing so I know if I am ever in the market for unique cards/invitations this will be one of my go to spots. A must visit if your in the area.

Logan L.

Yelp
I really appreciate Pike's in-stock selection of posters and single cards. I would like to see some of their larger pints available on regular sized card packages. The atmosphere is nice and the clerk was helpful finding a way for me to take a poster home on the buss without tearing or bending (tube). No need for their custom print today, but the sample selection was quite large.

Yelp
Just a unique, old-fashioned, beautiful store with gorgeous cards and designs. Must go! So much cool stuff in this store, and you can watch the unique machines work and create.

Yelp
While in Seattle, I was looking for a place that sold great stationary for a friend who enjoyed that kind of stuff. Luckily, Pike St. Press is conveniently located for shoppers who are already in the Pike Place Market area. This shop may be difficult to spot at first, but it's actually way downstairs near the aquarium. You just take the long flight of stairs down and immediately make a turn to your right. This stationary shop is actually quite small, but there are a bunch of things you can purchase/do here. You can create your own stationary, purchase premade ones, as well as checkout some of the notepads and postcards that they have in the store. I immediately gravitated toward a beautiful notepad that my friend would definitely like. Unfortunately, there was only one left, and so if you are coming here, be prepared for disappointment because it seems there stock is pretty low. I bought it anyway because I really wanted it and the price wasn't too bad either. The cashier at the front was really friendly and processed my purchase quickly without hiccups. I wish that this store was bigger because they could definitely do with more stuff! Shop well and prosper,

Yelp
Holy smokes, the location is really unfortunate. You must really want to come here because it's about 1000000 steps down from Pike Place Market (yes, there are elevators from the nearby parking garage, but still...). I've seen their cards at other stores and I love their designs. I had always wanted to come here to see the "mothership" and finally had a chance to do so while I was at Pike Place Market showing my out-of-town guest around town. While I could see the printing area in the back, it was pretty much just like any other small store. I don't exactly know what was lacking, maybe I was hoping for a bigger selection of original cards and stationery not found at any other stores? It took longer to trek it down to the store than it did to peruse the entire store.

Yelp
I used Pike St. Press for my wedding invitations and I am so thrilled with the result. My mom and I walked in to browse the strorefront and Sean made himself available to help create a mock-up even though we didn't make an appointment and other customers were milling about. After working with Sean, I worked with Brittany who is FABULOUS. I ended up switching the design on her after the first mock-up and she met me with grace and patience. Brittany executed on my vague descriptions flawlessly and acted like a human being rather than a robot.I felt like I was working on invitations with an old friend! If you need invitations for a wedding, graduation, dog wedding, or ANYTHING, look no further than Pike St Press. They also have a wonderful selection of stationary and handmade cards specific to Seattle and friendly staff. The Kirkland location is right by the waterfront so easy to pop your head in. Cheers! Kelsy

Yelp
Definitely stop by this cute shop for unique stationery. Handmade cards, postcards and stickers are sold here.
google avatar

Yelp
Hard to find location. Owner clearly does not want to be there, perhaps tired of dealing with the many tourists in the shop. Lack interest in answering printing questions even when I offered to make an appointment to inquire about their services. Bought 6 cards but will never return.
google avatar

Yelp
Spotted this place while taking the stairs up toward Pike Market and decided to take a gander. If you love letterpress, this is the place for you! Not only do they have a variety of stationery and other printed matter for sale, it's an actual working press where you can have custom items printed. I bought a couple of greeting cards and took in the small exhibit they had along one wall. There are a couple of armchairs where you can chill and soak in the printy atmosphere--cute place!
google avatar

Yelp
Call me old fashioned or just sensual, but something about pressed textured paper makes me squeal! I am so in LOVE with my wedding invitations! Sean was GREAT to work with. From the beginning he was very fast at communicating, and helped us through the several revisions we had. The prices are best you'll find in town, and you will not be jipped on quality. Furthermore, I received my invitations one week after I finalized the final proof. The only downfall is parking.. so ride your bike down there, or give yourself a little time to look for parking. (on the bright side, you can check out pike place market while you are there) If you want the wow factor in your invitation, business card, or really anything, get LOCAL and get PRESSED!
google avatar

Kristin C.

Yelp
Great little letterpress shop way below the market. We happened upon this gem as we made our way from the aquarium to the market. I love letterpress ... it's my favorite! Picked up some cute little postcards as a souvenir from our trip. Looked like they offered some impressive options for custom invites, stationary & business cards.
google avatar

Yelp
Happened upon this place during a vacation, such a cute store! The work put into the cards is amazing! I ended up only getting one card but would definitely go back for another visit.

Yelp
I cannot recommend Pike St. Press enough. They made our wedding invitation dreams come true! From the beginning of my interaction with them (even before I put down a deposit or anything) they were incredibly responsive to my initial emails and preparing a quote for us. Once we had our files in order, we went to the shop to look at our options in person. They have a wide variety of paper options, foils, and even gave us a close look at their Heidelberg Presses! How cool! Not only did they execute our vision perfectly, but the turnaround time was quick. We will be back there for our printing needs in the future. Thanks so much Pike St. Press!

Andre D.

Yelp
Brittany and Pike Street Press made an incredible design for my new business. The cards came out super high quality and very good looking. I get compliments on them often and I cannot recommend this shop enough! Very grateful and happy with my choice for business cards!
google avatar

Phil L.

Yelp
I called Sean two days before I needed my order and not only did he deliver but he did such an amazing job. Oh did I mention my order was 14 custom tank tops with custom coloring and custom design?!! The quality was better then most fashion retail stores and since he has graphic designers on staff the design was unique and perfect for the occasion. He is awesome, his team is awesome and his stores are awesome. I can't harp enough how pleased I was. Oh and he did my business cards and they are extremely impressive. Once again custom and beautifully designed. I recommend him if you need any type of print done.
google avatar

Christopher S.

Yelp
Very helpful service. They helped me create fantastic stationary. My friends have commented it is some of the most beautiful they've seen. There was an error with my order--nothing offensive or egregious, just stuff happens--and they worked hard to make everything right. Check them out!
google avatar

Declan D.

Yelp
I was extremely happy with the design and elegance that came with the sentiment cards created by people who were clearly gifted artists. Most times I've found that the message I want to convey to the people I care about just can't be purchased at Hallmark. When I walked into the Pike Street Press to browse, I was greeted by a gorgeous blonde female who was friendly and attentive. I explained what I was looking for and she seemed to know exactly what it was. She was the creator of these wonderfully soulful and artistically crafted cards, and I quickly realized that art truly does imitate life. The lady introduced herself as the artist and she was just as elegant, soulful, and genuine as the cards she created.

Yelp
Used PSP for our save the dates and invites for our upcoming wedding. Brittany did an AMAZING job with design! From the pictures I showed her and the discussions we had, she hit the nail on the head! When I saw her final design it was everything I wanted but didn't know how to make myself. Would recommend to anyone and everyone.
google avatar

Zachary B.

Yelp
Great quality printing on the tank tops he put together for a bachelor party group I was in. I'd recommend this business to anyone.
google avatar

Mariya B.

Yelp
We had our wedding invites done here and we absolutely LOVE them. We even got calls from our guests as soon as they got them about how great they were. Some even went so far as to say they were the best wedding invites they'd seen and they'd "seen a lot". At the beginning of the process we'd had a small little hiccup but they turned it around and knocked the whole experience out of the park. We're so happy that we chose Pike Street Press for our wedding invites and will definitely recommend them to anyone else looking for a place to have any kind of invite made.
google avatar

Lulu T.

Yelp
Used PSP for our save the dates and wedding invites last summer. They were more than perfect and Sean was super helpful in the process. A little pricey but it's letter press, so duh. Sometimes they weren't open when they said they should be but I think its just one or two guys who run the joint so I gave them some slack. Loved using them over some big chain crap company.

Marie Z.

Yelp
Brittany at Pike St. Press is the best! She designed the perfect custom invitation suite for our wedding. They are easy to work with, incredibly creative and very reasonably priced. I will use Pike St. Press for any paper needs in the future.

Sara D.

Yelp
We ordered our wedding invitations and RSVPs through Pike Street Press. The pricing is steep, but not as high as other letterpress studios, and that's something we expected. Letterpress isn't cheap, but it is really beautiful. Any questions we emailed to them were quickly answered, they provided us with more copies of our invitations than we had ordered, just in case there were any mistakes made when we assembled them ourselves and in case there were any last minute guests to be added to our guest list. They were very helpful in tweaking the design our friend created for us so it would print properly. The thing we really loved, though, was that Pike Street Press usually melts down and reuses the polymer plate they use to print, but we asked very politely if we could keep ours after they were done printing. We thought it'd be an awesome keepsake beyond just keeping a copy of the invite. They agreed to let us keep the plates and now we have those to frame and hang in our home! All in all, A+ for great service and great printing at a reasonable price! Thanks Pike Street Press!

Jacob L.

Yelp
Totally awesome experience by the folks at Pike St Press. We had our wedding announcements designed and printed by them and my fiance is stoked with the treatment, the product and the experience. Anything else we'd need custom and we'll be back!
google avatar

Amy M.

Yelp
Recently got business cards done here and am so excited with how they turned out! Anyone looking for business cards this is the place to go! They also have extremely cool cards and prints for sale in the gallery.
google avatar

MacKenzie D.

Yelp
The dreamy Pressmaster at the Pike Street Press knows his press, and he was willing to work with me to get the best wedding invitations possible. They came out more beautiful than I ever imagined, and the team at the Pike Street Press even screen-printed t-shirts for the bachelorette party!
google avatar

Sarah W.

Yelp
I've been to this store a bunch of times! It's always bustling in there, the designers constantly printing out new designs on the super cool antique press! The stuff is classy, elegant, and has a definite flare of fun. Lots of good things for tourists too. I can't forget Third Thursdays! Wine, artists, new cheap art! Fantastic!

Nicole T.

Yelp
An unique and hidden gem! Definitely worth a visit.

Michelle S.

Yelp
I had an absolutely amazing experience with Pike St. Press! I worked with them on my wedding invitations, save the dates, wedding programs, thank you notes, and a few other wedding-related items. Their letterpress stationary is beautiful and their staff is so friendly. Brittany helped me through the entire process from creating the designs to printing all the pieces, incorporating all my feedback and edits along the way. I would highly recommend Pike St. Press for any letterpress or digital printing that you need. Their stationary totally stands out and is a refreshing alternative from standard greeting cards, typical wedding invitations, etc.

Katherine K.

Yelp
Pike Street Press did our wedding invitations and they were absolutely fantastic. Excellent customer service, very timely, a steal for the quality of the work, and open to our ideas and thoughts. Absolutely recommended.
