This review is specifically about the nightclub experience at Pikes, not the hotel or restaurant.
The guest list is oversold to the point of farce - expect an hour in the queue watching the woman on the door operate with zero ID checks and even less crowd control.
Once you’re finally in, you’ll find yourself in Freddie’s, which can only be described as a shoebox, packed with Ibiza’s finest collection of steroid-fueled lads actively looking for trouble. One exit for the entire main room. Health and safety has clearly left the building.
The fights break out regularly, and security? Practically non-existent. The stickers over the phone cameras tell you everything you need to know - they’re well aware of what goes on in there and would rather not have the evidence on display. Though curiously, footage still manages to circulate on social media.
Look, I understand Pikes has the reputation and the history. But the reality is a dangerously overcrowded room with virtually no crowd management whatsoever. Drastically reduce the capacity, sort out the logistics, and maybe then it might live up to the hype.
