Amazing hotel - would highly recommend. The staff are very friendly and the rooms are clean and cosy. Small details with the turndown service were lovely. The breakfast is amazing and we ate in the Van Oost restaurant (with the 6 course tasting menu) - extremely good food with excellent wine pairing. Love the ‘living area’ - a lovely quiet place to relax and play games.

Our stay at the Pillows Grande was a treat from start to finish. We arrived earlier than the standard check in (because of the time of our overnight flight’s arrival) and were welcomed into the “Living Room” area where we were offered coffee and champagne while one of the staff members went through the check in process with us. Once completed, we were able to leave our baggage and go out exploring until our room was ready. The room itself was beautifully appointed, spotless, very comfortable, and overlooked Oosterpark. There are two public transportation stops within a 5-minute walk, so everything in Amsterdam is close even though the property is situated outside the hustle and bustle in a lovely, quiet area. Breakfast at the brasserie was included in our rate and delicious. There were always friendly and attentive staff available for whatever we needed. Amsterdam was the first stop on a multi-city holiday and the Pillows Grande was the perfect place to kick it off! We hope to one day be able to visit again, and highly recommend it to anyone who wants a safe, quiet, beautiful place to be pampered while visiting the amazing city of Amsterdam.

Just when I had lost hope in hotels, Alex Mulder hits it out of the park (no pun intended). It's a truly beautiful renovation--and the interior design and original artwork are out of this world. Given the number of hotels I've slept in over the past 4 years, it's not an understatement to say that he put great attention into wonderful pillows, sheets, towels and mattresses. The Spring Restaurant attached (for breakfast) is one of the best hotel breakfasts I've ever eaten in years--all artfully prepared and a la carte. The bar in the basement is a unique gem with lovely and engaging bartenders and apothecary drinks--it rivals the best from my hometown, New York City. I loved the products in the bathroom too, as well as the scent throughout the hotel. It's truly a work of art--and I tip my hat to Mr. Mulder's elegant and refined taste. He is a masterful showman. Freddy and I loved every single person we met,too. It felt like home.

Spend our annual girls night out here and it was amazing! First of all the room was gorgeous and clean. We even managed to get two separate 1-person duvets in one go, housekeeping was spot on (we often had other experiences elsewhere, somehow this is difficult, but not here). |Their house scent is delicious (and you can buy it too). |Also the cocktail bar Fitz was very good! Cozy, great drinks and good atmosphere. Great art also!|So a really big tip!!!

Without a doubt one of the finest stays I've had. The rooms were well appointed, the hotel interesting and located on a most enchanting park. The cuisine in their restaurant was devine. The beds extremely comfortable the hydrobed wonderful, the bathroom luxurious. I could go on about how wonderful the stay was but the best part of the experience was the warm staff. From walking in the entrance it was hospitality I've only experienced in the French Quarter of New Orleans. They accommodated me in every way with out hesitation or question and went above and beyond multiple times. Including when I left my key in the room, moving dinner reservations on short notice, and finding and bringing some salt to my room so I could sooth a pained tooth. Would love to return and hope to! Cheers.

This hotel is beautiful, clean, and the staff extremely helpful and friendly. They have us a free upgrade as Hilton Diamond members and unfortunately the room was very noisy. After speaking with the front desk they moved up to a different and quieter room. The cafe has a great breakfast and a pretty view of the park. Unfortunately, it is very far from the main city center and train station. So while perhaps quieter than it would have been to be in the middle of it all, I think the distance did not make the quiet worth it. Not to mention taxis aren’t exactly cheap, even the taxi to the airport cost $190 euros. Would I stay here again? I would probably look for a place closer to the train station such as the double tree.

A beautiful hotel. Wonderful staff. It is a really tranquil and relaxing space in the centre of Amsterdam. You can’t help but relax after busy day in the city. The breakfast is outstanding, cocktail bar excellent and every single member of staff was personable but professional. We will definitely be back

I visited the hotel for a special event. I arrived a bit early and waited in their brasserie for a drink. The staff were extremely polite and helpful, I was even offered a charger to borrow for my phone and received complimentary nuts with my drink. It’s the small details like these that make a difference. The food was excellent and beautifully prepared, and the service was very good, though my server missed me once while serving wine but that can happen. The location is both beautiful and convenient, with Bolt and Uber able to drop you off directly at the hotel’s private entrance. If you’re looking for a beautiful hotel with impeccable service, look no further.
